Why does some scientists insist upon changing humanity? Do they really think they know better than nature and God? They seek shortcuts and risk us all.
Here is a lovely article about a new machine that will allow scientists to speed up "evolution". It is madness. To think that you know which genes to turn on and off, to be willing to take the risk, is madness.
I like reading about quantum physics mostly, I am not as supportive of creating dark matter or certain tests. I am 100% against stem cell research. I am 100% against assisting evolution.
Mark my words, this machine will be used on stem cells to cure autism. But it won't. The hope of science is to cure the autistic of their social inabilities, not to take away their intellectual uniqueness (Asperger's). Imagine the sales job for people with Asperger's. "Hey kid, your really bright, you see things nobody else sees; but, you have a hard time with the ladies, we can fix that. You take this serum (made from stem cells) and you will be as normal as anyone else."
Here is the joke on the scientists, it is a chicken or an egg question. The unique abilities of those with Aspergers rests within the fact that they focus on what interests them and not on the 40,000 lies that our faces explain. If you change their focus, you lose their unique abilities. Worse yet, imagine using stem cells to give everyone Aspergers, that would be horrific, brains would explode. It takes a lifetime for people born with it to learn to handle it and it is natural for them.
Here is where I am going to compare females breasts to brains (good trick huh?). Millions of women have breast implants, they change their body to "make it better". Personally, I detest breast implants, they are not real and don't feel real, looks only. I have absolutely nothing against normal female breasts, voted in favor of them in the last election. Two thumbs up. I do have to add a caveat, I am very much in favor of breast implants for women who have lost theirs due to cancer or other diseases. I have a friend with a glass eye, that is okay, he was born with two eyes and lost one.
I am not talking about giving back what someone had, I am talking about "improving" or "enhancing" our natural body.
