I received the following anonymous comment regarding the case.
"I think the victim was in the burning newspaper office the night the newspaper building was burned. That's how her hair got burned, perhaps she knew why they were burning the newspaper building-because people wanted to hide something the newspaper had documented for years: namely, the sale of alloted Native American lands that had been owned and sold without their knowledge. Confiscated by people from churches records of those NA who were christians and they had names of family members who were baptized and buried in the area. Lands used for Oil and Gas leases and sold for millions of dollars to bidders from Oil companies. I went to a church in the area until I married and moved away, the preacher kept the name of the church at the Tax Commission in OK in my fathers name since he was a founding member and he was Native American."
I have not and will not post the whole comment as it makes allegations about people and I have no way to substantiate it and the allegations are unrelated to Pastor Daniels. I do not know who sent the comments; however, it is the second time they have contacted me.
I want to make it clear that I do not find these allegations in any way related to Pastor Daniels. Should the person return to read this post I want them to understand that it has never been alleged in anything I have read that Pastor Daniels was even in the town when the fire was set a day or two earlier and it has absolutely nothing to do with what was done to Pastor Daniels based on either the autopsy or any other reports I have read.
Prior to reading about Pastor Daniels I knew absolutely nothing about Anadarko. Since then I have been contacted by a couple of people who lived there and have read a little about it. I cannot dispute what the commentator says about land being stolen from christian indians in the area; however, I also have no reason to believe that the church Pastor Daniels led had any Indians in it as the church seems to have been an African American church and from all accounts only had a couple of elderly members still attending on occasion.
To the person who sent me the comment. I cannot publish unsubstantiated claims against specific individuals regarding land theft or any other crime. Even if you sent me the name of a suspect in the death of Pastor Daniels, I would not publish it without proof and probably not even then, I would forward it to the OSBI. When looking at the case I had wondered if there might be a monetary reason and even considered whether or not someone might have wanted to get the church building; but, the building was leveled and made a the land was made a memorial to the Pastor.
I have been contacted by Pastor Daniels family in the past and I truly believe that if they knew the reason she was killed they would be all over it. I also read that the OSBI went as far away as Chicago to investigate this case and it is still a very open case and has not been closed out.
To the commenter. Here is what we do know, Pastor Daniels arrived on Sunday (video from nearby showed her arrive and her car parked in front of the church). Sometime later, two people came by to see her and found the front door closed and locked. They contacted the police and Pastor Daniels was found dead. Her body was found displayed on the ground in the crucified position. She had been attacked with some sort of blade or knife. Something had been used to destroy DNA evidence and there is good reason to believe that something had been written on the back door. There is every reason to believe that the person(s) who killed her entered and exited through the back door. I have not read of any motive for the crime. There have been no reports of anything being stolen from the church or from Pastor Daniels.
It is just shy of four years since the Pastor was killed. In all that time there has been practically nothing new revealed. In the beginning of the investigation a homeless person was questioned (turned out that he lied) and a metal band was investigated that had played a concert the night before (with nothing found again). Anadarko residents do not appear to have much faith in the police. It seems to be a small town with racial sensitivity and questionable actions regarding property and the treatment of people who don't fit in.
I am going to link to a YouTube video regarding the memorial that was placed for her. At the end of the video they provide a phone number for anyone who has any evidence.

I want to be clear, if anyone has any evidence and does not wish to contact the OSBI, they can send it to me and I will forward the information; but, I will not post it here and I have yet to receive anything compelling. Some things we can assume. The person who killed the Pastor knew the area well and knew that she would probably be alone. They prepared, this was not a crime of passion, they planned it out in advance and managed to avoid being seen on the cameras in the area. They were so confident that they could get away from it that they were not bothered by the fact that the police station was a block away. It is highly unlikely that this was done by a serial killer or someone just passing through town. I have not read about any similar killings since and I look for updates periodically as I did today.
It is very possible that Pastor Daniels had seen her murderer in the past. It is even possible the person may have spoken to her in the church in the past. I would hope that the OSBI had reviewed videos from prior Sundays that may have been kept by the businesses in the area. It is utter insanity to believe that someone just accidentally found the church and accidentally chose to enter through the back door and was unconcerned knowing that the police station was mere feet away and didn't care. It is possible that the person was the same one that started the fire in the dumpster a day or two earlier, it is possible that they attended the heavy metal concert (the band has been cleared); but, the crime was planned well in advance and she was not selected at random.
Should any of Pastor Daniels family read this, my prayers and thoughts continue to go out to you. I personally contacted the OSBI a couple of years back and gave them my personal information as you may or may not know. They have never contacted me; but, I am sure they checked me out. If I ever receive any information that appears relevant I will of course send it to them; but, I would never say that I had and regrettably, I have not ever been sent any comments with any information that was related.
