I was sitting at my computer when someone knocked on the door. It was a man who wanted to hand me papers. I took the papers and called my loan processor and got the name of the person on the phone. I then gave the name to the person at my door.
It seems like I am starting in the middle of a story; but, not really. For the past year I have been unable to pay my mortgage. I was unable to because my wages were garnished in the divorce.
My old loan was processed by Citibank. In October I was notified that it was being sent to IBM Business Solutions. I knew something was going on. I had worked with Citi and listed my house for a short sale. In all that time no offers were made. I had mailed over 50 pages of paper to Citi.
The mortgage companies do not want to foreclose, they would rather renegotiate loans but they were not sure which ones to renegotiate. Nothing to renegotiate with me because of the divorce.
Please dear readers know that I am in no way upset by all of this. I am trying to let you know that now is the time where people will be forced to choose. The options are foreclosure or modified loan. We anticipated that something would happen this month, that is why the loan was transferred.
For a year Citibank didn't call, send much paper or in any way seem to want to foreclose. I found it odd. I have heard of people not paying their mortgage for a year and a half. IBM, I believe, was given the loans to be foreclosed on and they got mine.
December is going to be a tough month for a lot of people. Unemployment checks stop for two million people and the real foreclosures have begun. It is sort of freeing for me. I had wanted to sell the house before the divorce when the market was good.
I never imagined I would be relieved to be in foreclosure. I never imagined I would get divorced. Lots of things I never imagined. I am ready to move on. Be well and have a great day.

Death of small government
The City of Maywood is constructively gone. It is the beginning of a trend, a trend away from small cities. This article explains it fairly well.
In Ireland one hundred thousand people are protesting their governments "austerity" measures. Ireland is trading it's sovereignty for bailout money. I am Irish. Ireland had been the poorest European country for as long as anyone could remember. During the last 30 years it finally had some wealth and now it will return to being the poorest and lose it sovereignty.
We are seeing this consolidation in cities and nations. What do you think of it?

Wall Street Walloped by Insider Trading
Here is an article on the insider trading going on at Wall Street. Yet, here is an article from CNBC PROMOTING insider trading. What?
What you are seeing is people who have profited from the insider, old boy network (it includes women) trying to hold on. These people have no shame, none. Public and private pensions own the majority of traded stocks. Those pensions are controlled by the government. They are used to achieve political ends and those involved and well paid in order to keep their mouths shut.
The article says that the investigation was begun a year ago, hey, that's when Elliot Broidy began turning state evidence. Hmmmm. Just a thought.

News to follow
Lots of things going on at once. Firstly, the euro is in danger of collapsing. On the heals of this Russia and China announced they were going off the dollar. Now Russia is seeking to gain entry into the European Union. Never thought I would see that happen. Oh yeah and the US and EU are talking about building a missile shield over Europe. How do these things fit together?
In the game of international politics who is playing who and to what end is never completely clear. What is clear is that Russia is attempting to play both sides by setting agreements with China and the EU.
The United States is the last true superpower. Well we were. We are losing that. China will not replace us in that manner because they don't have the ability to extend themselves worldwide militarily and neither does Russia. Their fear is that we will use our military power to take over countries and control the material wealth, the minerals and oil. Like we did in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The world is repositioning itself. New alliances are being forged for the future competition of economies. There are calls in England to break away from the EU and in Ireland. Imagine this scenario. Group one is England, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Greenland and Iceland. Group two is the EU and Russia. Group three is China, Iran and India. These three groups would then be competing for influence over Africa and South America.
Nothing has been decided yet, that is clear. On top of this consider the fact that a failed Euro or failed dollar will constructively stop international trade. In order to have international trade there must be agreement on a trading device, a currency.
In Ireland, England and Greece new "austerity" measures are being implemented that will make the majority of their people live under third world conditions. It is coming here next. Actually it is here. Unemployment benefits are ending for millions of people and the foreclosure tsunami has just begun.
So how are Americans dealing with these issues, by ignoring them and going shopping. It's Black Friday and time to shop. Yeah.

Not Good
Okay, I read this a day a go and did not post on it. I was waiting for conformation. The Chinese and Russians have gone off the dollar standard. This is not a good thing for the United States.
This is another game changer and people need to understand that. The dollar has been the international currency for decades, it is what has kept our country wealthy. It represents trust. We are not trusted to pay our debts anymore. If other countries don't accept our currency, our promise to pay them back, then we cannot trade with them. No more buying Chinese or Russian products. Europe has the biggest problem as they buy natural gas from Russia. It can get cold in Europe.
Currency is nothing more than an IOU. It is a promise of labor and materials. It is not real, it is a promise. The moment nobody trusts your promise, your currency is worthless. That is what has occurred. We don't keep our promises and people stop trusting us.
The Chinese and Russians apparently believe we are going into hyperinflation and that will mean that all of the dollars they are holding will cease having value, they think we will cheat them, we would if we could. Our nations wealth and security was very much built on our stability. People believed America would be stable and that made our currency trustworthy. They don't trust us now.
This is in no way the end, this is the beginning of the end. The end will take a couple of years. Salvation will occur; but, that is only a bigger end. The world is beginning to say that they do not need us. We don't pay back or provide anything. What do we manufacture? Not much. We build weapons, so do others. We control the internet, they don't need it.
This is going to force a standard, be it gold or other. It is very possible that we will nationalize the Federal Reserve to correct this. People will be thrilled if we nationalize the Federal Reserve because it will wipe out our debt to ourselves. It will not however fix anything.
The world as we knew it has changed. For starts, USA is no longer number one. Our GDP is now surpassed by China and our currency is no longer trusted because we have nothing to sell. We will need to accept less in order to compete internationally.
We screwed the Chinese and Russians out of trillions of dollars by selling them worthless derivatives that we defaulted on. We sold them trillions of dollars of our housing debt that we are not paying off. They quit the dollar.
We will watch the world turn upside down and not even understand it. We will have less and not know why. It is simple, we cannot be trusted and nobody will trust us.

NO WORK
Hi all. I have nothing to talk about except that I am off this week. Wait, one more thing. What do you think about this Korea thing? Kinda bad. North Korea fired missiles at South Korea. Timing is what should concern everyone.
Some people have suggested that the missile that was fired off of the California coast was from a Chinese submarine, like the one that popped up near some US ships. I was Navy ROTC and was learning to be on a sub hunter. We were taught about doing things like that. In either case North Korea's move will require a response.
If we go to war with China, even a non-nuclear one, things will not be good for anyone. I do not believe such a thing will occur. Still, we do not like to see war of any kind.
One more thing to discuss. Thanksgiving. It is not really a religious holiday, yet it is the most sincere. We thank our maker for providing for us. Sometimes we forget to do that and the holiday reminds us. I am thankful for much, I may not have much but I am thankful for much. I am thankful for having daughters who know who they are. I am thankful for my siblings and relatives. I am very thankful for my friends who have stood by me, encouraged me, made me smile and supported me when I needed support. I am thankful for great food, hey, I like food.
I may be losing my house; but, that just makes my life easier. I am not into possessions. I prefer to have little, less to take care of. I am thankful to God for giving me the chance to help others. I am thankful that he gave me my mind and my body, both have served me well. I am thankful for rest and music and comedy and trees and mountains and the desert (the desert is a wonderful place, so much quiet and so much life that can only be seen if you still your heart).
I am thankful for my little blog and my readers. I am. I like knowing someone reads my insanity, that it has any value. This blog was started for a couple of reasons and the reasons continually change. People need to express themselves and this has been a fun outlet. I have written in other places and have always managed to find people who actually enjoy my writing, it is an honor.
Because I want to make people aware of things they might not otherwise read, I spend a couple of hours a day reading. I read a lot. I figure most of my readers are well read and follow the news so I try to find things they might not have seen or present perspectives that might not be as common. Another way to look at things, not necessarily right, just different.
If I read an article such as the recent one discussing how the Vatican doesn't have enough exorcists and needs to recruit them because there is a rise in the number of possessions, I find that interesting. You don't have to be Catholic to find that interesting. It deserves to be considered regardless of from which perspective, heck, atheists would find it interesting.
