I was talking to someone recently about how I had gone on a date with a woman who knew me from my writings; but, not from this blog. The lady in question had said on our date that I wasn't anything like she expected. She also stated that she had never met anyone quite like me. I was under the impression that she was traveling the country to check on investments that she had made for very rich people.
After having visited with me, she flew north and met with some common friends. I received no reports of her having anything other than good words to say about me; however, I know of at least one person that did not feel comfortable with her. As it was, it was just a nice dinner date with some pleasant conversation and very good food.
I have often wondered what she meant when she said that I wasn't what she expected. I mean I write exactly what I mean, I don't have opinions that are any different in personal contacts than I do with what I write. So, this person I was talking to, not the lady I went on the date with, read my blog and made the comment that my writing seems slightly emotionless; whereas, in person it is clear that I am passionate about things. She stated that my writing was fairly direct, succinct and perhaps a little colder than I am in person. I leave it for my readers to decide; but, it did intrigue me.
I try and make this blog informational most of the time. I do not use cuss words on this blog and am careful about what content I allow on it. The purpose of the blog has changed since I began it and it seemed to take on a new life. Under this iteration of the blog I have focused more on news and information that my readers might not have had time to read or may have missed completely. I attempt to present things for what they are in an objective manner while at the same time looking behind the story for deeper meaning.
One of the problems I have with current politics is how the issues are ignored and the media merely seeks to pander to emotions. I attempt to avoid doing that with my readers, that does not mean that I don't have feelings about things; but, the issues are what should drive our decisions and all decisions should involve love, they should include consideration for people and how they will be effected.

Windows 8 and what it leads you to
I was reading "Wired" and came across an article on The 10 Best Features in Windows 8. As I read through the features I came across some things that may tell us where the programs are all headed and this caught my attention.
"Settings Sync
No matter what PC, tablet or notebook you use, you’ll be able to sync your personal settings. Thanks to the Microsoft account and Windows 8’s cloud-friendly platform, your personalizations can travel with you. The “Sync your settings” option within your PC settings lets you sync personalizations (background, colors, lock screen and account picture), passwords, language preferences, app settings, browser settings, and more. It makes using a new device much easier and makes borrowing a friend’s tablet or notebook a more personal experience."
So why did this stick out. Well, if you go back and read my posts on electronic currency, I said it would have to be available to everyone. What happens when your cell phone or computer breaks, you would still need access to your cash. By designing Windows 8 around the cloud, you could access your account, passwords and everything else so long as it was held on someone else's servers (the cloud).
Now I know that I also said that the computers and phones will recognize you by your biometrics and watch you to see what you are thinking. Here is another article for your amusement. There was a time when the internet was called the World Wide Web, that is why it says www before a domain name. People don't seem to call it that much anymore. It was a very good name because in the end, the internet is just that a worldwide web, it connects to all the information in the world including your personal information.
So, with all that information out there and all this "cyber-bullying" going on, how will the government protect you? I believe the personalization will include what and who you are allowed to interact with. It will begin with protecting children and women from stalkers. Because you will log on using biometrics, those setting will follow you no matter whose device you use, even on a borrowed one.
I know a nice couple in the San Diego area, I even had lunch with them while attending a seminar. I have reason to believe they still read this little blog. When I met them about 3 or 4 years ago, we had a mutual acquaintance that moved to Australia. I had told this mutual acquaintance and others that in the future the internet would become more restrictive and since then we have seen that in Australia. What we do not want to believe today becomes what we demand tomorrow.
Did you know that Wired magazine reported that the "U.N. Report Declares Internet Access a Human Right"? They also said that disconnecting people from it is a violation of International Law. Wait a second, the "internet" is owned by the US government, why is it a requirement that all nations be allowed to use it at all?
In December, in Dubai, there will be a meeting to discuss International control over rules for the internet. Fox News - One month until they regulate the Internet. Don't expect much, it will be claimed that they could not come to major agreement; but, it is not intended to, it is merely putting the infrastructure in place for future controls.
I find it amusing that the meeting is being held in Dubai. I have always seen Dubai as the modern day Babylon where all the merchants of the world meet.

Something's Smokin in Shamokin - Worth Watching
The Pimpernel doesn't often promote shows or products. On occasion I will however promote documentaries if they tell a story I think my readers should know. I don't remember why or how; but, recently I came across a series of videos on YouTube which appear to be credible and a little disturbing.
According to the videos, a couple of guys wanted to fix up some properties in Shamokin, Pennsylvania. One of the gentlemen claims to be an investor from Florida and the other was involved in renovations. The second gentleman is named Scott J. Binsack. According the them, when they tried to talk to the City Council about a renovation plan for the City, they were harassed and ignored. At least until they began filming things in an attempt to highlight alleged corruption in the town.
I did some research and there is a web presence for Mr. Binsack going back a bit and indicting that he had indeed been a house remodeler. According to a local paper in Shamokin, Mr. Binsack and his associate did indeed donate $2,500 to God's Chuckwagon, a charitable soup kitchen in the area.
I decided to see if there were any updates of the videos and there was. Mr. Binsack has apparently been charged with violating his parole and was set to turn himself in; but, has chosen to run. He is claiming that he has been told if he turns himself in he may be injured. He also claims that the charges are not valid charges.
With the technologies available today, it is possible that the whole thing is some sort of publicity stunt to raise awareness of the area and bring in some investment; however, I believe they may actually be sincere and are just attempting to raise awareness. I leave it to my wonderful readers to decide for yourself. I am going to leave links to the videos and to the Facebook page, now, I don't use Facebook so I do not know what the page shares with friends, there may be additional information.

In my opinion, he should turn himself in to the Chief of Police who he accuses of corruption and make sure there are plenty of witnesses. The second thing is about why it interested me in the first place. Since the housing bubble burst, there has been more corruption going on involving real estate than I have witnessed in my whole life and I spent 30 years around that industry. The smaller the town, the more simple it is to take advantage of the market.

Eye Told You So
I was reading today and came across an article about how the Danes have created an application that lets you control your smart devices and phones with your eyes alone. Here is a link.

Overtired and can't sleep
I have been up for two days, had to take someone to the hospital and drive a long distance to do so. I have passed tired, I am tired and wide awake. I hate that. Everything at the hospital went better than expected, just a long day.Over tired and I have spent the last few hours in deep debate.

International Currency Control
There are some things that I have predicted that I don't really like. One of the things I have talked about is how we will see a new monetary system. I have long believed that it will be tied to eliminating national debt. I have believed that because it is the cookie that will get people to accept the new system. I am sorry to say that I appear to have been right.

Basically, what they are calling for is an end to private credit that is not asset backed. With the government owning 80% of all housing and the Federal Reserve buying the rest of the mortgages, it would now become a government asset and back up our currency.
Many people took advantage of the housing boom, they took out debt with no intention to repay it unless they could sell their house for much more than they paid for it. The banks were happy to lend and the rates were corrupted by LIBOR. Everyone was cheating all the way up and down the chain; but, it was intentional and the end game is to crash all the currencies together and then bring in this new system. They got everyone to hate the bankers and now it is time for whoever has been chosen to come to our rescue and save us from the fate of Greece.
