Lord Godygod is very nice to me. He is going to let me talk about Joseph. Joseph, Jesus' step father was just a guy. He didn't expect what he got. He did not expect to marry the mother of Jesus. He didn't expect to take care of God's child. How could he?
He was a carpenter, an average Joe. He loved a girl who was worthy of love and got caught up in something very strange. The woman he loved and loved him got knocked up by God. He accepted that. Ahhhh, bet that was easy. Not.
They do not mention him at Jesus' funeral. I wonder why. He was chosen as much as Mary was. Why did he not show up for the crucifiction. Because he could not. It was too painful. He knew what he raised, he knew his son. Could you watch your son be nailed to a fricken cross and have the bad death? I couldn't.
Can you imagine seeing your child have nails driven through their wrists and feet? His mother watched, I bet that wasn't fun. His father did not, he did not want to see his son break, he gave his son his dignity. He did not want his son to have his father witness him break. He gave him that respect. He did not look at his son's nakedness, remember, Jesus was also a man.
From what we know, Joseph was just a guy. He got up everyday and went to work. Oh, yeah, and raised God's child. Yeah, that must have been easy. Lots of room for error. Nope, he did it. He paid for Jesus' growth. He went to work so that Jesus could have the time to go to church and teach others. It says that there is none good but God. That means that Joseph was not "good". How was he not good, what was his shortcoming? Do you think that he woke up one day asking for this?

What a great example of a loving Father Joseph was, something we should all strive to be, Loving and unquestioned Faith !
A great example indeed. Too little is said of him. He wasn't allowed to have sex with his wife until after Jesus was born. That is mentioned in the bible. Yet, he married Mary and cared for her and Jesus. He must have loved that women quite a lot and he must have loved God even more.
