Four years ago CalPers (the pension fund for state government employees) discovered that the City Manager of Bell had increased his salary 47%, this meant that the pension would spike. According the this report, they did nothing. Nobody can explain why. Hmmmmm.
Now, a smart reporter would go back and look at what the City of Bell did for the state or Calpers. Did they help one of the companies funded by government pensions?
