Lists and Lies
In the last few days I have come across multiple articles which claim to know what millionaires have in common. These lists are nonsense as many people do the same things and fail. Ignore them when they are posted. I will prove it. Ask yourself if lottery winners have certain traits in common and I assure you that they do.
The first thing that lottery winners have in common is that they buy lottery tickets. I don't. Oh, once in a great while I will buy one but I don't keep track of the payoff or usually know what it is. Many people share traits with the wealthy and never make it. Nicola Tesla was a brilliant scientist who created the method we use for making electricity today, it is called alternating current or AC. He met all the rules that they tell you will make you rich and still was not. Lots of people have the same traits as lottery winners and never win too.
The question is not what all winners have in common, the question is what percentage of successful people in any endeavor have that is unique to the successful. I broke a world record and was in the top ten for another. I worked hard, practiced everyday, never gave up... and a lot of other things; but, in the end, I was physically built to be able to succeed. My body shape, balance, distribution and many other things were part of what allowed me to be successful. There can only be so many world record holders, there can only be so many billionaires. Luck is always involved along with timing. Be well.

Changes to the blog
Hi, not quite sure where this blog will end tonight. I guess we just have to see what comes. The starting point is figuring out if I will kill off all the prior posts (minus the ones on Pastor Daniels as I have already promised to leave those up) or just move in a new direction.
I was on this website years ago and was talking in one of the forums and someone stated that my writing had become more "spiritual". I couldn't figure out why as I had not written about God as far as I can remember. I am not an Evangelical. I figure God will lead you to others and we just have to be ourselves. We don't save people, God does. The bible says we are to have an answer for the hope that lies within us and I do; but, you get there by yourself. Others just help when you ask them questions.
The first years of this blog were dedicated to philosophy and religion. I then got off into how the world works and the third iteration of the blog has been about the news and looking deeper. I'm pretty sure that I am going to cease writing about the news as much. Here are some last news tidbits.

These were the most important articles in the last two weeks, if you understood why then you would not be foolishly fascinated by the supreme courts decision that congress actually meant to pass the Affordable Healthcare Act or say that states cannot prevent consenting adults to marry. The links I provided were to things that actually do and will continue to effect your life.

Let's talk transportation again
I've been working on a couple of ideas; but, I have also been reading the news. I thought these three stories went together nicely.
Yahoo - CNBC - Ford jumps into car-share business. I like the comment from the CEO of Ford where he says that their company believes there are more and more people who don't want to own cars and then he says how they are going to sell them cars that they can rent out to others. If you really think about it, you will see what garbage the statements are. Ford and every other car manufacturer wants to sell as many cars as possible; however, they see that self driving and shared cars are the wave of the future.
Bidness - Why autonomous cars could lead to fewer auto sales. The estimate is a drop in sales of 40% by some. Funny how this article and the prior one seem to fit a pattern and neither refers to the other.
Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) - More than five million Aussie jobs gone in 10 to 15 years. By the way, that is 40% of all their jobs. CEDA - Australia's future workforce? If you want to know what to expect, read these two articles by the people trying to prepare their country for what is coming.

We’ll be seeing water traded as a commodity.” Water is going to be traded like a commodity, certain interests have been spending a lot of time to prepare and create this new market.

Someone or some organization hacked the Federal Government's Office of Personnel Management and has all federal employees personal information (address, social security code,...), as a consequence the Federal government has partnered with a company that will track all actions using the employees personal information, the internet, chatrooms a whole bunch of things. The employees get a cookie in exchange for allowing a government contractor to monitor all their activities.

Water Games for Summer
According to the Los Angeles Times, the City's Department of Water and Power is going to drain the Silver Lake Reservoir of 400,000,000 (Four Hundred Million) gallons of water and build an underground storage facility near Griffith Park.

Just imagine how lucky CIM group feels right now knowing that they are building an underground water reservoir just up the road that will hold 162,925,713,500 (162 billion, 925 million, 713 thousand and 500 gallons).

Now, some of you may remember when I wrote about a place in Oregon or Washington where they emptied out a similar reservoir because someone had urinated in it. They did that twice. Now, why didn't they just treat it like this water is going to be treated. Why did they just waste it?
