YouTube - 7News - Denver investigating underground water storage. Keep an eye on all stories about water, something interesting and wrong is happening. Denver is now looking into underground water storage in case of drought. Why is this interesting, simple, why go to all the expense of storing water underground when you can store it above ground for much less.
Fox - State of California flouts its own enviro laws, claims county threatening multi-million-dollar suit. Okay, Caltrans drills tiny little holes so see what the groundwater levels are and many counties want them to obtain permits to "protect" the groundwater. In Sacramento they claim they are concerned about the Sacramento delta; but, that is not below ground. What might be interesting is to find out how much groundwater has been taken and the condition of the water table.
Fox - Supreme Court appears skeptical about feds applying Clean Water Act to family biz properties.
Christian Science Monitor - Debate over water rights intensifies as Saudis buy up swaths of US farmland. The short of the story is that Saudi Arabia is buying up desert property and draining the groundwater to grow alfalfa in the desert and then shipping the alfalfa overseas. I will ask a question that I have asked before, why are people allowed to take water during a drought and send it or its products overseas when the rest of us must ration water and not even water our lawns? Think about it.

Garry Shandling R.I.P.
I like comedies and find comedians to be very interesting people. I am amazed at how many comedians are shy, fiscal conservatives and often sad people in real life. Garry Shandling seemed different, I know that he was known for his kindness, pretty rare in such a competitive industry. He is regarded by other comedians to be one of the best standup comedians ever; but, I don't think standup is where he shined the most, I think he could tell a good story and his television shows were groundbreaking and amazing.
Shandling did one of the first scripted shows on HBO, the Larry Sanders Show. It was about a make believe late night talk show and mixed drama with comedy in a way that would have scared off most comedians. It was also so original that it should not be forgotten. I went on YouTube and got the finale of the show and I am going to provide a link to it. If you don't know much about him, watch the show and if you know him well, watch the show and remember him.

More Mass Media Propaganda
I went out last night for dinner with two friends of mine, we had a really great dinner and a pleasant conversation. Once again talk turned partly to politics. As I have written before I tend to be a bit of a socialist; but, my friends tend to be very conservative. In fact, all my Republican friends are supporting Trump. I mention this because the media tends to portray Trump supporters as fascist, Nazis that hate women and wish the south had won the civil war. I find this strange as none of the people I know that support have any of those beliefs and most of them are very well educated, not low information. While my friends and I may disagree about politics and policy, the fact of the matter is that my friends are just that because they are considerate, generous and loving people. The media doesn't like presenting them that way because it doesn't fit the desperate corporate media whose masters want only the puppets that they select for President.
Recently I read two articles that claimed that people were disillusioned with the process used to select a President. One implied it was because Trump was winning, the other pointed out that people were disillusioned because there is open discussion of manipulating the process to deny both Sanders and Trump a fair count based on votes and the open plan to change the rules of the Republican convention and go as far as putting up a candidate who hadn't even run for President. It should not be surprising that Republicans began losing more and more faith in the process right after all the articles and reports came out saying how the party establishment was going to rig the race to broker the convention.
The media is not a free media, it works for giant conglomerates and it's number one goal is to support those corporate interests and not to inform the public; but, instead to manipulate the public. That is what is truly sad about this election.

How To Stop Trump Winning Easilly
There is a very simple way for the Republicans to stop Trump from winning the election. Promise to not give any more tax breaks to the rich and give them to the middle class instead. Oh yeah and penalize companies for outsourcing jobs and refuse to give them ANY tax breaks. With all the talk by pundits about getting rid of Trump by violating the voters rights, why aren't they discussing jobs? Hillary won't do it, Cruz and Kasich think the solution is lower pay for Americans and bigger tax breaks for the wealthy, we have been doing that for 30 years and it has only resulted in fewer jobs that pay less. People are not voting for Trump because they love him personally, they are voting for him because the rest of the establishment has left them out to twist in the wind. Think about it.

Violence at Trump Rallies and the Media Spin
There was a rally for Donald Trump in Tucson, Arizona at which a protester wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood was hit by a black Trump supporter. The media's take on it was that there was more violence at a Trump rally. Hmmm. Now Trump has been accused of being racist and having racist supporters, he has also been called upon by the media to disavow the KKK (something which he never supported in the first place or that would have come out). Why now ignore the part of the story about how the protestors are wearing klan hoods (this is not the first time). Are you really that surprised that a black man might find that offensive and hit the person wearing the hood?
YouTube Arizona Daily Star - This is how mainstream media reported what happened.
YouTube - The Daily Spectator. This is a little more information and you get to see what the man's friend in the above video was wearing, a Klan hood.
In the second video you hear Donald Trump say there is a disgusting man in a Klan hood. Does that sound like he supports the Klan? If he thinks the Klan is disgusting and says so at his rally, why doesn't that make the news?

Cuba, China and Jobs
President Obama has travelled to Cuba, the first President to do so in about 90 years and the media has serious questions about this, my question is why. When Nixon went to China the press was excited and glowed over the event in non-stop coverage. How is this any different? The media complains that Cuba is a communist dictatorship, yet, China is still a communist dictatorship. Heck, we have a history of supporting dictators, remember Ferdinand Marcos or the Shah of Iran. When we like dictators we call them Kings and Queens, when we don't like them we call them dictators.
I want to get back to the issue of China. Do you find it odd that we increased the outsourcing of jobs to China after they killed and jailed people in Tiananmen square. Heck, again, China is one of the most oppressive governments in the world; but, this is rarely discussed by the media. As far as being militaristic, when is the last time Cuba invaded anywhere? Now, when is the last time we invaded anywhere? I am not a Cuba supporter; but, I seriously question why we have this double standard in how we deal with Cuba (not at all) and how we deal with China (we send them millions of American jobs).
After World War II and the communists taking over China (killing over 60 million of their own people) we waited about 30 years before opening up relationships with China. At the time we were told that it had been to long, that we could not ignore the political reality of China being communist and about their important cultural history. It has been around 60 years since we broke relationship with Cuba, yet, none of the same arguments are made about that country. Why not? Why the hypocrisy and inconsistency?
Why do we give tax breaks to companies that outsource jobs to China and why do we allow the to export products to America when they have taxes on American products sold in China? If we do that with China then why do we not allow any exports from Cuba? Why is it that we hear so little about how China jails people for going to church or how they brutally kill and torture Tibetan monks? As you hear and read more and more about Cuba, I want my readers to ask the bigger questions.

How the Establishment Continues to Rig the Game.
This is going to be a collection of news stories that I haven't had a chance to get to yet.
Huffington Post - Donald Trump Prefers His Steak Well Done, AKA The Worst Possible Way. I like starting with this one. The propaganda machine is on full tilt against Trump; but, this article is fanatical in it's stupidity. It basically says Trump is a bad person because he likes his steak well done. Wow, now that is what I call insane. Next they will be saying he is bad because he flosses his teeth.
Fox News - No Right to Rent? Cities barring property owners from renting out. If you think about who this benefits you will understand why cities have passes laws restricting who can rent out a home. Yep, it benefits apartment building owners. Keep an eye on this because they are going to go after mom and pop rental buildings next.
CNBC - Here's how the GOP could stop Trump AND Clinton. Basically the article promotes a third party candidate just so neither Trump nor Clinton could get a majority and that would allow the House of Representatives to choose the President and the Senate to choose the Vice President. CNBC is literally saying that the will of the voters should be superseded by a congress that has less than a 10% approval rating.
YouTube - Harper Suspends Parliament Giving Him All Power. The title of the video is actually wrong, it was the Queen of England's representative that closed the Parliament and did not allow the Canadian legislature vote on ousting their Prime Minister. Another example of how the vote of the people does not meet the wishes of the wealthy so the vote is taken away.
YouTube - EU faces existential crisis as democracy becomes contagious - UKIP Leader Nigel Farage. Yes, Europe's laws are voted on by people who frequently were not chosen by the people.
Yahoo - Reuters - Uber seeking to buy self-driving cars: source. Yes, Uber is seeking to buy 100,000 self driving cars so that it doesn't have to pay for drivers. I really enjoy listening to people who try to tell me that this will not happen in their lifetime.
Investor's Business Daily - Blame Minimum Wage, Not Carl’s Jr. CEO, For Automated Restaurants. Face it, employees are not wanted, go back and read my post on "What's Going On". Even slavery would not stop automation from taking away jobs, if you doubt it just look to China.
Fortune - Conservatives Grasp For a Plan to Stop Trump. Another article calling for letting congress pick your next President and Vice President. We will be seeing more of these because the wealthy don't like the people deciding anything.
The Economist - Top Ten Global Risks. This is from an English publication and it claims that if we elect Trump as President it would be one of the top ten threats to globalism.
