Immigration Laws and Changing Attitudes

Ever since the 2016 primaries there has been a lot of talk about immigration enforcement and immigration policies. At the same time there has been an attempt to muddy the waters around the issues by playing games with the terminology used. People who entered the country without permission used to be called illegal immigrants; but, now they are said to be "undocumented workers" which is slightly misleading. Not all people entering the country illegally come as workers and many entered with documentation but stayed past their visas. Now, the term is changing again and anyone who came from another country is just referred to as an immigrant.

Before getting into why the change on how we view immigrants, we should look at the differences between different groups. A legal immigrant coming here must prove many things about their history and have a valid passport from their country of origin. They have to show they have a sponsor or are self-sufficient (through valid skills or economic assets).  People who entered this country legally on a student or visitors visa and stay past their time usually have skills and economic resources. People who enter illegally usually have no skills and little if any money. In fact, people who enter the country legally usually speak English to varying degrees and those entering illegally usually do not.

Historically, since the 1930s there has been almost universal agreement that immigration should be regulated and that illegal immigration was bad for American workers as illegal immigrants would work for lower wages are received no benefits. This made them particularly attractive in the agricultural and construction industries. People such as Caesar Chavez decried and complained about illegal immigration for that reason. In fact I cannot think of a single union that supported illegal immigration. The Democratic party was historically against immigration of all types. As recently as the 1980s and up until 2014, Democrats were against illegal immigration and called for limits on legal immigration. Bill Clinton, George Bush, Obama and Hillary Clinton all called for strengthening the borders and removing illegal immigrants. In fact Obama deported more illegal immigrants than any president in history. So what changed?

What changed was the attitude of the people who own this country and this world. You can call them the .1% or the "elites" or the global establishment. These groups began seeking open borders. While some would like to believe it is "people on the left", they are sadly mistaken. Both the Koch Brothers (severely "right wing") and George Soros (severely "left wing") are in favor of open borders. Strange isn't it?

Last night at the Democratic debate, three of the ten candidates chose to make lengthy statements in Spanish. They sought to garner support of non-citizens apparently. Most on the stage talked about giving healthcare to illegal aliens and other benefits. What was sadly missing from the conversation was a discussion of giving those same benefits to the homeless in this country or even the working poor. Why? Why was there no real discussion about homelessness in this country? Why was only one candidate willing to bring up the fact that in the next few years millions of Americans will have no work because of self driving technologies and Artificial Intelligence?

Many conservatives believe the reason illegal immigration is being pushed so hard is just to get Trump out of office; but, that is not the reason. There is nothing that prevents one from talking about illegal immigration and homelessness. In fact, there are far more illegal aliens than homeless which should make it an easier problem to deal with. It is easier to help 500,000 citizens (over 100,000 of whom are veterans) than 22 million people who came here illegally.

The media asked set up questions regarding immigration; but, failed to ask the simplest and important question. If you are not for open borders, who should be kept out? If you enter this country illegally and we allow you to stay, should you have to give something back such as community service? Should you have to learn the basics of what is legal and illegal in this country? Should you have to learn English? Should you have to keep the government informed as to where you live? Should you have to renounce your foreign citizenship? Why is nobody in the media discussing these basic issues? Keep asking yourself these questions over the next two years.

Let's Talk About DACA and Immigration

Congress establishes the rules for immigration, that is their job. Congress has not changed the immigration laws which prohibit people coming to the United States to live without approval by the federal government. Immigration is not a state's rights issue, it is a federal issue. If Congress wanted they could eliminate all immigration laws and allow for open borders.

Imagine for a moment what would happen if we eliminated all immigration laws. If you want an example of what it would look like, look at Europe. Few openly call for open borders. Hillary Clinton was exposed by WikiLeaks for calling for it in private while she denied it in public. The reason is pretty simple, the vast majority of Americans do not want open borders.

Instead of passing laws to outline what is and is not acceptable in order to move to this country, Congress left it up to Obama to institute the policy of not enforcing immigration laws. President Obama instead instituted a policy known as "Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" or DACA. The biggest problem was that it didn't change the immigration "laws" one bit. Congress did not pass DACA which means it was never a law to begin with, merely a policy of not enforcing the law for the moment, that is what deferred means.

Now lets look at some other facts. It is estimated that there are millions of people in the United States illegally. Some call them undocumented but that is just word play. They are undocumented because they haven't sought or obtained legal citizenship. Children who are not citizens of this country; but, came to this country when they were under 16. In fact, you may recall the influx of minors who came to this country after Obama instituted the DACA program.

YouTube - Why So Many Migrant Kids are Coming to the U.S. alone.

The fact is Mexico allowed these people to come here from central America; but, did not allow them to immigrate to Mexico. This is a fact that the corporate mainstream media chose not to address.

The DACA program has actually exacerbated the problem by adding even more confusion over what the countries immigration policy is and that is the single biggest problem with it. DACA was never the law of the land. Because of that, President Trump is not and never has been bound by it. DACA gave an out to congress so that they did not have to actually address the issues or change the immigration laws.

With all the discussion in the media about Trump ending DACA, there is practically no discussion about what our immigration policy should be and that is a problem. We should be openly discussing it and if changes need to be made, congress should make them. That is how laws work. While the media would have you think the questions are difficult, they are not.

Lets start with the basics. Should we have immigration laws? Most people would say yes. Should those laws allow people from other countries to move here and become citizens? There are those who say we should allow people to move here; but, not become citizens. The corporations would love to have them come here to reduce wages; but, would say these immigrants should not get any benefits. In fact, our tech and business leaders have not offered to pay more in taxes to provide benefits for immigrants. They are unwilling to put their money where their mouths are. That is hypocrisy.

When Trump announced his run for President, he stated he wanted to stop illegal immigration. He announced he would enforce the immigration laws passed by congress and remove people who are breaking those laws. People seem to believe in immigration enforcement and that is one of the reasons Trump was elected whether you like it or not. It should be noted that our laws allow for making asylum seekers citizens. I know, I worked with people at the church who were seeking asylum because otherwise they would be killed for being gay in their home countries.

The options available to us are vast. We can totally open our borders and give full citizenship upon people reaching this land, we can open our borders and let people come here but restrict which rights they have, we can change our immigration laws permanently allowing anyone under 16 that gets here to automatically become citizens or allow anyone under 16 that comes here to stay; but, receive no benefits or limited rights. Yu can have any combination of these things.

It should be noted that Mexicans account for an estimated 6.5 million illegal immigrants to the United States, yet, Mexico does not contribute to their well being here. Mexico sends no money to care for their people who are here illegally. Again hypocrites unwilling to put their money where their mouths are.

The media seems to think that enforcing immigration laws is wrong; but, is not willing to openly call for ending all immigration laws. Perhaps they would be willing to pay additional taxes to support those here illegally. Nope.

Living in California, these questions are not new to me.

YouTube - Harvest of Shame is the video above. It is from 1960. I recommend that you go to 49 minutes into the video and you will see that these issues are far from new, yet we continue to defer making a decision on immigration policies.

A question to be considered is one of illegal immigration and crime; but, the answer may surprise you. We do know that a large number of illegal immigrants become drug dealers. You may think this is an outrageous thing to say; but, you might want to look at the type of crime they commit. It is estimated that 80% of the 50,000 or so members of the notorious 18th Street gang are illegal immigrants. Rather than being innately bad people, selling drugs is a way to earn an income when you cannot obtain benefits or legal employment. Telling minors that they can come here; but, not receive benefits guarantees this. The question is not just one of what should our immigration policy be; but, what do we do with poor people who come here. That is not being addressed at all and DACA did not clarify it. I blame that on Obama.

The economist Milton Friedman discusses illegal immigration from an economic perspective. His conclusion was that immigration only made sense if it is illegal.

You will find that agricultural states love illegal immigration; but, they are unwilling to provide benefits to these people. It's been that way in California for as long as I have been alive. Nothing has changed and those promoting illegal immigration don't address it now.

Another question has to do with people who say that we are overpopulated and need to reduce our carbon footprint; but, then say we should allow unfettered and uncontrolled immigration. Hmmm. Lets think about this, our birthrate is negative and sperm counts in the west are down over 50%; but, we want to allow millions of people into the country that have much higher birth rates. I guess we are not really that concerned with global warming or overpopulation.

If we consider the environmental treaties that are being promoted by globalists then let me ask this. If we increase our population by 10% will we be able to increase our carbon footprint by 10% too? No, the Paris Climate Accord had us as the only country committing to decreasing our climate footprint, not China or India who are now the biggest industrial producers and don't regulate their pollution with the same technologies that we require in the west for our own industries.

Let me explain this to everyone in the simplest terms I can think of. The establishment wants the United States to agree to never use more resources in the future than we do now. That is why they talk about carbon limits. At the same time they want us to take in millions of immigrants which would otherwise increase our carbon footprint; but, they have a solution. They want Americans that already are citizens to give up what they grew up with. The tech gurus such as Zuckerberg know that there will not be any jobs for the immigrants or the current Americans so they are willing to share the table scraps with the useless eaters, the middle class and working class. They now refer to them as the precariat. You should look that up and look up the last Bilderberg meeting where it was discussed. I already wrote about it. They anticipate a world where most people have no job and live in 150 to 250 square foot rooms with virtual amusements to simulate a meaningful life. What was it the Democratic National Committee email from Bill Ivey said to John Podesta? Oh yeah he said, "And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry." Read the actual e-mail at this link, WikiLeaks.

London Bridge Attack and the Globalist Perspective

Lots of people are wondering why the governments of Europe refuse to address the issue of how Muslim immigration from the poorest Arab countries of the least educated people from those countries is effecting their nations. Your average conservative will say it is because they are letting radicals into their country and that is true to a degree; but, most of the people who committed terror attacks in England were second generation and were radicalized in the United Kingdom. Liberals will tell you we just have to be more tolerant of their cultures, to be multi-cultural rather than adopt English culture as the Indians and Pakistani's have in the past. They mayor of London has said that terror attacks are just the reality of life in modern European cities. On it's face that is insanity; but, he actually meant it because he doesn't believe in borders and he understands that will be one of the consequences.

The assumption I begin with in politics is that things come about because the people in power want them to. Who benefits must always be the question, follow the money that determines what happens. The perspective of all globalists and the European Union is that having many groups in constant conflict has a value beyond bringing in new cuisines. What is the value they find in it economically and socially? Lets start by looking at Theresa May's (the English Prime Minister) response to the murders on the London bridge by Muslim extremists.

Time - Read Prime Minister Theresa May's Full Speech on the London Bridge Attack.

What did she blame the attacks on? Firstly she blamed it on sectarianism (religion, any religion that people believe in). Her solution is constant and growing internal security and surveillance. The second cause she found for the violence was the internet. She said it allowed people to gather and discuss wrong ideas. Her solution is to internationally regulate what you can say online and monitor all your online communications to make sure your not a bad person. She then states that we must attack ISIS in Syria; but, Syria was not involved in ANY of the three attacks that England has experienced in the last three months alone or ever. Her fourth solution is longer detainment for people not found guilty of crimes but suspected of thinking about committing a terrorist act. In fact, there had been discussions and a trial balloon floated at the idea of suspending the English elections.

John Oliver of Last Week Tonight posted a clip from his show last night where he talked about the London bridge attack, he laughed and said the English way was to laugh it off and said the real threat was Putin. I saved the clip; but, it is no longer up, I am sure it will pop up somewhere. Yep, found another copy.

These things just don't disappear. He starts by saying that "In no way is Britain under siege", just upset. How many people were killed in the last three irritating events, how many at the Manchester bombing alone? He literally laughs at the idea that some Britain' s might be worried or concerned. He claimed that the Britain's are more upset by people making tea in a microwave than the terror attacks. He then shows a gay man in England whos says that he will keep doing what he does because he won't let the terrorists win. Fair enough; but, they didn't ask this gay man if he felt threatened by the extreme Muslims who attack gays. He ends by saying that the biggest threat to the United States is Putin and Trump and that Putin had said that some Russians could have been involved in hacking the DNC; but, that is not quite what he said, just how Oliver summarized it.

After 9-11 happened Jon Stewart and others gave heart felt sorrow and expressions of love for their city, Oliver didn't do that, he laughed about what happened in London, watch the video, he made fun of it and then attacked Trump and Putin. This man has sold his soul and wants to sell you on the establishment agenda while appearing to be anti-establishment. He also thought Britain leaving the EU was the worst thing that has ever happened, yet he left Britain and the EU. Lets not forget that he works for one of the six multinational companies that own 90% of all the media in the United States.

Here is a few questions for you. If we are facing overpopulation then why increase the number of people in Europe by immigration? If we have a problem with greenhouse gasses in the west than why increase the number of people through immigration and thereby increase the greenhouse gas emissions from those same countries? If we cannot assimilate people without terror attacks than why bring in more people who don't agree with western beliefs and not require them to assimilate? What is the benefit?

I want to focus on the media for a second. I am going to post a video by a guy I find amusing but frequently think oversimplifies things.

I will not post it; but, Alex Jones has an even longer copy of the tape of the staging of this event. Specifically CNN was involved in arranging a show of support from what we are told Muslims for London and against terrorists. They also made it appear to be spontaneous, which it wasn't.

The Muslims did not crash the world economy, neither did the gays, the jews, xenophobes, Nazi's or Putin or Trump or Melania or Ivanka or the illegal aliens. Nope, it was the western banks that crashed the economy and rigged the markets afterwards. It was after the worldwide markets crashed that we attacked Libya, Syria and everyone else in the middle east. A distraction. By sending them to the west we have brought in a new boogie man so that we will ignore the real boogieman, our wealthy and our leaders.

Just Some News to Follow - Feb 7, 2017

Daily Mail - Own a car but rarely use it? Insurer launches pay-as-you-go policy so occasional drivers can dodge high-cost premiums.  This fits in quite well with the fact that you will not own a car in the future and will  pay as you go for taxes, use of a vehicle and insurance. A world where the average person owns nothing and rents everything.

The Washington Post - How Tulsi Gabbard became Assad’s mouthpiece in Washington.  Pure and utter establishment lies and propaganda. Gabbard is a Hawaiian Progressive Democrat who is opposed to war. The article also mentions Dennis Kucinich met with Assad, guess what, Kucinich is also against war. The Washington Post has very little tolerance for people who don't like endless wars in the middle east. Wait, maybe I work for Assad because I am against war too? The article goes as far as to say that  Here is a line from the article, "She also asserted there are no moderate rebels in Syria and that the United States is funding and arming al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. Neither is true, but both match the talking points that the Assad regime has been pushing for the entirety of the war." I want you to remember that when you read the emails where Hillary Clinton talked about arming the radicals.

LastWeekTonight - Canadian Election: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO).  A funny little video where John Oliver tries to effect the Canadian election and makes fun of Canadian laws that make that a crime. Funny how he is another one who was concerned about Russia having an opinion on our election. Hypocrisy is essential to the media because they want to pick the winners.

MSN - Bloomberg - Trump’s Next Immigration Move to Hit Closer to Home for Tech.  While the tech companies spend millions to stop Trump from tightening visa restrictions, there real reason isn't because they care about Syrian refugees, it is about getting tech people from India and other countries to come here, work cheap and take away jobs from American tech workers.

Yahoo - AFP - One income for all: far-fetched, or future fact?  If the west doesn't need workers, what do you do with the people. The solution is to give them just enough to survive, entertainment on their phone and a mini-living space.

Fox - Group to Trump: Tear down country’s 10 worst highways.  The wealthy dislike rural towns and prefer the poor to be centralized in cities. Think I am making this up, then go back and read the Rockefeller Commission Report from 1971 on population sustainability. I have posted links to it before.

Who Pays For New Technology That Kills American Jobs? Americans Do.

The Wall Street Journal - States Wire Up Roads as Cars Get Smarter.  Here is the first sentence in the article, "Planners say ‘smart roads’ will unlock benefits from self-driving cars, curb accidents, but costs are high".  And who is supposed to pay for all these improvements that will cost 3.1 million people their jobs? You through your taxes and the drivers through taxes on transportation services like the gas tax.

The Jerusalem Post - How will Trump’s economic outlook affect Israel and the world?  Funny how the Israeli's don't think how Trump is anti-Semitic or a Russian pawn when they have the most to lose if he was.

New York Times - Trump Says Intelligence Officials Delayed Briefing on Russian Hacking.  There a people who believe themselves to be "liberals" that are upset that Trump doesn't trust the intelligence organizations. Hmmm, you know who trusted them the least? Kennedy. He believed they lied to him about Cuba and the Bay of Pigs. He also distrusted them over going to war in Vietnam. Turns out he was right, we entered the war based on a lie called the Tonkin Gulf episode.

Washington Post - Did the Clinton Foundation pay for Chelsea’s wedding? Now the Washington Post is saying Hillary lost because people thought the Clinton Foundation paid for Chelsea's wedding dress. This is just pitiful.

Let's Weaken Democricy

Telegraph - US climate commitment 'irreversible', Francois Hollande warns Donald Trump.  After Trump was elected President, the President of France said that we have no choice but to agree to the Paris agreement on the environment. Lets be very clear, treaties only become treaties after congress approves them and the President signs them. The Paris Accords ARE NOT LAW and this moron knows that. He said if we don't go along with them as if they were law that France might put a tariff on the United States. This man is a globalist piece of garbage who does not respect people right to vote or democracy. That was stated in another article; but, I forgot to save it.

MSN - The Los Angeles Times - Secessionists formally launch quest for California's independence. The media tried to portray this as an anti-Trump thing; but, it is nonsense. In fact this movement has been going on for two years, even before Trump said he would run for office. There was a separate movement to break up California into 6 states. The same people are behind both of these, they are the tech industry leaders trying to take over control and weaken control over them.

Yahoo - Business Insider - Californians might vote in 2018 on taking steps toward secession in a 'Calexit'.

RT - Ex-PM John Major: Brexit terms can’t be decided by ‘tyranny of majority’.  The "tyranny" of the majority is what we call democracy.  I will repeat what I have said many times before, the owners do not like you voting or wish to hear your opinion.

Yahoo - Christian Science Monitor - Why India's prime minister wants a cashless society.  60% of Indians want to keep cash. A couple of years ago I linked to an article about how India was in the process of getting biometric data on all of it's citizens and was getting ready to finish the process. I guess they finished it because the biometrics is your identification when we all go cashless. While I have talked a lot about the election in the past year, I have written about the move to cashless since the blog began and there are many posts about it.

MSN - Market Watch -  Opinion: Why deporting millions of people would be bad for U.S. workers.  The argument they make is that if we repatriated people here illegally to their own nations they would no longer buy goods here. The reality is that businesses want them here because they don't get paid as much or have any protections. This has always been the reality for them. The companies see them as a commodity like grapes, same as they see the rest of us.

Yahoo - Bloomberg - Is It Simpler Than Obamacare? California’s Retirement Mandate.  Five states are considering offering voluntary retirement plans to their citizens. The big money is split on this. Some in finance like the idea as long as they get to invest your money and others don't want it because if you are saving you are not spending.

International Business Times - How To Keep Trump From Becoming President? 25th Amendment Could Declare Republican Mentally Unfit.  Your owners don't like Trump and don't want him to put Americans first. They don't like democracy.

Daily Mail - Russia is developing a mega-rocket that will transport supplies to build a base on the MOON, Deputy PM reveals.  We are richer than Russia and yet, refuse to have a real space program that would provide people with jobs in aerospace that don't involve bombing other countries.
Fox 5 - California regulates cow farts.  It has nothing to do with climate change in reality, it is about increasing the cost for meat. Peasants don't need meat.

Forbes - Thanks To 'Fight For $15' Minimum Wage, McDonald's Unveils Job-Replacing Self-Service Kiosks Nationwide.  Well to begin with, the title of the article is a lie. These kiosks were begun prior to the fight for $15 an hour. Pure and utter propaganda.

The Washington Post - Trump’s populism is about to face a rude awakening.

The talk about Trump being racist, xenophobic, sexist and whatever else is ending and the real issues continue to expose themselves. This is about the rich versus the poor. It is about business versus the workers. It is about oligarchy versus democracy. That has never changed as long as the world has been around.

Crazy Talk All Around

Yahoo - CNBC - Op-Ed: I'm calling BS on Trump's promise to 'bring back' jobs.  An article ridiculing people who think we can have jobs in the United States. They don't care about you.

Huffington Post - The Electoral College Was Designed To Prevent Trump. You Can Make This Happen.  If you read the article it basically says that Democracy is bad and your betters should vote against how your state voted.

Huffington Post - Electoral College Can Stop Unfit Trump — With Another Republican

Foreign Policy - Trump Won Because Voters Are Ignorant, Literally.  They don't respect the average American because they believe they are better than you.

The New York Post - The one scenario that could still get Hillary into the White House

AOL - How Hillary Clinton could still get in the White House

YouTube - California Wants To Exit USA Now That Donald Trump Is President -Calexit.  Baloney, they wanted to leave already.

Fox - New York Times publisher vows to 'rededicate' paper to reporting honestly.  They are so afraid that their readership is going to go down because they were so partisan. It will.

MSN - The Hill - Two presidential electors to colleagues: Dump Trump .  Democrats calling on Republican electors to vote for Kasich or Romney instead of Trump. Treason. The establishment does not like Democracy.

Yahoo - France’s Sarkozy Urges Tax On US Goods If Trump Exits Paris Deal.  France likes the idea of a trade war. We are not part of the European Union, we are an independent country and can decide our policies and which treaties we will sign.

Hillary Clinton and Open Borders.

Sometimes the Conspiracy Theroists are Correct. The Los Angeles Times in 2007 that the Clintons supported open borders. Bill Clinton was quoted as saying, "Three weeks ago, her husband drew applause at a conference of 14,000 Indian Americans in Washington as he extolled the benefits of "open borders, easy travel, easy immigration." He said the outsourcing debate bothered him because it failed to acknowledge the contributions of Indians who settled in the U.S."

Los Angeles Times - Clinton's free-trade advocacy is hitting labor where it lives

Well, it turns out she still favors those thing. In a speech she gave to an Italian bank she stated, "My dream is of a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders..." That statement comes from one of the hacked e-mails.

Washington Examiner - 'Open trade and open borders': Hacked emails contain transcripts of Clinton paid speeches .

MSN - Washington Post - Hacked emails appear to reveal excerpts of speech transcripts Clinton refused to release.  She is quoted as calling for open borders and having Wall Street regulate itself.

Both Hillary and Bill changed their minds on open borders and now support them. Prior, they had called for building a wall. What changed? What changed was NAFTA and a different vision for America. What Hillary describes is called regionalism and it is nothing new.

It is pretty simple, what the corporate establishment wants to create a about five different regions that have internally open borders (amongst those in the region), open trade and share a common currency and market. Basically she is in favor of creating an American Union similar in scope and approach to the European Union and this is in her words.

The United Kingdom (Britain) voted to leave the European Union because it did not vote for, want or ever agree to over half their laws being written in Brussels by unelected bureaucrats. Trump is not in favor of these things, he just openly discusses it. Those who are in favor of it, like Hillary, only say these things to their donors.

Do you want open borders? Are you angry that their intent to create a North American Union based on the European is not being openly discussed by it's supporters? This and getting rid of monopolies and bringing jobs back to America is what this election is about and neither the media or Hillary Clinton want you to know that or for Americans to have an open discussion about it.

The U.S. corporate media is going to try and avoid discussing this issue; but, it will be picked up by and discussed by Mexican, Canadian and British newspapers. Brexit was about freeing the United Kingdom from the European Union so that they could join the North American Union and this was told to me in the late 1970s by my professor of Intenational Relations, the agenda has not changed and is still not being discussed by the people who will have to live under it, it is not being discussed with the public. Elitists do not tell the unwashed masses what they are really up to, they just play on your emotions and biases.

By the way, I want to talk about the media just a bit more.

Washington Post - Trump recorded having extremely lewd conversation about women in 2005.  The "important" story is that Trump, 11 years ago, talked about how he tried to have sex with some woman. This was during a car trip with someone from the press, it was a private, open conversation. Hillary Clinton has claimed that we cannot possibly elect someone who looks at women like this; but, we did elect her husband who moistened his cigar on a young White House page named Monica Lewinsky and received oral sex in the Oval office.

My readers know that I don't talk about women that way on this blog. I also know that many men and women talk about sex amongst certain members of their gender as if it were sport. Trump was a playboy in New York, I think we all knew that, it was certainly discussed. Kennedy also had mistresses as did Eisenhower and many, many others. Just so happens we don't know if Trump was married at the time he had tried to get this lady to sleep with him. More importantly, we know Hillary is not truly shocked as many women have slept with her husband during their marriage. I don't think this will change anyone's vote, I don't think that is why it is in the news, I think it is in the news so they have an excuse for not discussing the real issue that came out today, that Hillary is for open borders.

As for me, I do not care who Hillary, Trump or Bill has slept with, tried to sleep with or took whatever sexual position with. I care about jobs for younger Americans, controlling our borders and national security and penalizing companies that hide taxes overseas that should be paid here. If it turned out that Hillary was bi-sexual, would it really change your vote, it would not effect mine at all.

They Just Don't Get It

The media wants to make this election about personalities and that is not what it is about. We have been lied to for a long time and the lies are running thin. Forbes and Bloomberg tell us that the more extreme the income inequality, the better off we are, I have posted links to their articles where they say just that. We are told the talking point that the wealthy are the "job creators"; but, all the jobs are being created overseas and not here. We are told that wanting to control immigration is racist, yet, we need to have passports to even visit Mexico. The truth is that few if any Americans favor open borders, yet, those statistics are never reported.

If you can, tell me what Hillary Clinton's policies are. You cannot because she does not make policy speeches. In fact, she doesn't even give press conferences (it has been almost a year since she last did). Some on the right believe the media has a liberal bias, I do not. I believe that the fact that Bill Clinton deregulated the media allowed it to become a monopoly where six companies control 90% of all the media in America and that media is multinational and corporatist.

Telling young people that things are improving just isn't convincing when in many cities it costs $2,000 or more to rent a one bedroom apartment and the only jobs they can get pay $8 an hour. You cannot tell kids that things are looking up when over half of the people under 30 have to live at home and many of them have college degrees; but, still cannot get jobs or even pay their student loans. These are the things that this election is about, not whether or not Trump likes his stakes cooked well done.

If all the media was state owned you would expect it to be pro-government. If all the media was owned by China, you would expect it to be pro-China. The media is owned by multinational companies and is pro-multinational corporations. It is not too difficult to see if you just look and read what their spin is. Hillary Clinton does not need to spin the media, they spin for their own reasons in her favor and the reason is that they do not want change.

MSN - The New York Times - Hillary Clinton Gets Gored.  The New York Times has made it very clear that they support Hillary in the past, now they claim that questions about her honesty are unfair and even questioning what the Clinton foundation is unfair. This newspaper has also said that fairness itself is unfair and that they feel no need to be unbiased when it comes to this election. How then can we trust or believe anything they say.

It was the younger people who first began complaining about the 1%, they also were the first to point out how the trade agreements were taking away jobs from America. If you think they stopped believing those things than you do not understand the Trump or Sanders revolutions.

The Guardian - Luxury camp at Burning Man festival targeted by 'hooligans'.  Someone once told me that I should respect my superiors, I told them that they were not my betters. That was while I was working in government. The media should be careful in dealing with the younger generation as they do not believe them.

The Single Most Important Issue Facing the World that the Media Will Not Address

We, the western world, is quickly approaching a period where we will not need many manual laborers. While think tanks such as the Brookings Institute are willing to discuss the issue, there is little if anything said by the mass media or even the alternative media. As the use of artificial intelligence (AI) increases, even jobs that were thought to be white collar, decision making jobs will disappear at a faster and faster pace.

The reality is that in the future the way to get out of poverty will be in the arts or a highly skilled and technological job. IBM has a computer called Watson and it beat Jeopardy. There is a belief among it's makers that it could do a better job at decision making than humans. You may laugh; but, I want you to follow this link.

Watson2016 - Watson for President 2016

No, IBM isn't serious about having a computer run for President. It is researching people's reactions to the idea of important decisions being made by computers rather than people. Having said all that, this post is about jobs and people and how we will live in the future.

YouTube - Jim Mellon ** Human redundancy, what happens? Permanent unemployment? ** 2013

Now, we are constantly told that there just isn't enough money to pay to take care of people and the word used in Europe is austerity. We are told we cannot afford healthcare, pensions, social security, disability, food stamps or welfare. We are told that so much by the six media conglomerates that you might actually believe it; but, the real issue is slightly different.

Trading Economics - United States GDP.  The chart shows U.S. GDP since 2006 when the economy was barreling along prior to the crash. In 2006 the GDP was at 13,855 billion dollars for the year and it has gone up every years since except one. Today the GDP is at 17,947 billion dollars. That means the United States has actually increased it's GDP; but, we have not seen this result in higher paying jobs or more spending on public services. There is a reason for this, most of the money that has been made since the crash went only to the top 1% with the greatest majority of it going to the top.01% and their tax rates have been going down by a lot.

The facts are why the rich are panicking. What they really fear is that they have sent jobs overseas and now the only way to pay for services in this country is to tax them. Their choice is to instead hide profit overseas and call for the elimination of public services other than the police, fire and the military who they believe are needed to protect them. This is also why the same is going on in Europe.

The Election, Hope and the Middle East.

I woke up this afternoon and as always immediately went to the news. Turns out that the convention coverage of Trump resulted in a jump in the polls for him. This is not uncommon and is what happens after every presidential convention for both sides. And, as expected the "liberal" media immediately began attacking everything Trump said in his acceptance speech. The narrative being pushed is that Trump's vision of how America is negative. Well, things are negative and we all know that. Things have been going downhill for the average American and the middle class for at least 30 years, just look at wages for the average American, no raises in almost a decade and a decline in good jobs. The slow blood letting of the American economy is real and continuing, both Democratic voters and Republican voters know that, it is why Sanders and Trump have so much support.

Here is the question in the back of everyone's mind, if we vote for the establishment candidate (Jeb or Hillary or any of them), will wages go up, will the infrastructure be improved, will we stop going into endless wars and will they improve the opportunities for this nations children. The fact is that if we vote for an establishment candidate the best we can hope for is more of the same, a continuation of the disintegration of the strength of this nation and the middle class. We don't know if Sanders or Trump could turn this around; but, there is no hope for another Bush or Clinton to turn things for the better.

My problem with the liberal and the conservative media, aside from the fact that they are all owned by six companies and in the end support the establishment and globalism, is that is that it is anti-change and wants you to believe things are okay. Things are not okay for the majority of Americans and hope for the future is at a low. How optimistic can Americans be when they are told that good manufacturing jobs will never come back to America and that we all have to accept a bleak future with no benefits, no hope for good jobs for the majority of us or our children and increased poverty?

Slogans and new faces do not create hope, real changes and politicians doing what they were elected to do creates hope and when the majority of people have nothing to look forward to other than a decrease in their standard of living, they will push back. I talked about this when the Occupy Movement was going on and nothing has changed except that things have continued to get worse. All the spin and stories have no effect on what people see in their own lives. Half of the people over 18 still live at home and have little hope of a job that pays more than about $8 an hour, that is reality.

So, what does this have to do with the middle east, take a moment and think about it. The reason that millions of Arabs are leaving the middle east for Europe is the same, they are looking for hope, it is the same reason that many have become radicalized. If you live in Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and other countries in the region, what hope do you have for a better life? For most in the middle east, they just want to live in peace, raise their children and not be bombed by drones. That however is what they are denied.

The question is simple for the worlds establishment, what hope do you offer the middle class and what hope do you offer the middle east? The answer is none. When denied hope for a better future, people get upset. Americans get upset when told that things will not improve and they have to accept less and young Arabs feel the exact same way when told their lives will not improve. It begs the question, what hope can this country offer to the people living in Arabia?

President Obama, Populism and Big Business

New York Times - Obama Will Need His Oratory Powers to Sell Globalization.  The article openly admits what Brexit, Sanders and Trump are really about, it is about anti-globalism. Globalism is the belief in a one world government controlled by the west. It is a form of universal colonialism not based on nation; but, based on big business. They establishment is also afraid of populism or the will of the people, the majority.

In the western world we are told we must be environmentally friendly; but, at the same time we have shipped our manufacturing overseas to countries that have no environmental restrictions. If you really begin to think about these things and not the slogans or hysteria, you can see what is really going on.

Random Attrocities

Daily Mail - Don't call them robots! Europe's mechanical workers could become 'electronic persons' under controversial draft plan.  Let's see, robots to have rights and people to lose rights.

YouTube - BBC News - Overpopulation: Will we run out of space? BBC News.  So England is saying they are becoming overpopulated; but, they are also promoting open borders and an increase in immigration, is that logical?

Politico - Full transcript: Donald Trump's jobs plan speech.  I have to say that he gave an impressive speech. He talked about globalism's grim effect on America.

Foreign Policy - It's Time for the Elites to Rise Up Against the Ignorant Masses.  Search the title of the article and you will be able to read it once. It is a subscription site. The basic message is that the only opinions that matter are those of your betters.

Politico - Canada to drop Mexican visa restrictions.  Immediately after Britian voted out of the EU, the EU began discussing becoming it's own antion. Oddly enough at the same time, Canada and Mexico and the United States met to discuss the exact same thing and Canada decided to declare open borders with Mexico.

The Precariat and Your Future

Recently I was reading about the Bilderburg Group's meeting this year and I ended up going too their website to verify something. I was reading their agenda for this years meeting and it mentioned the precariat and the middle class. The Bidlerberg Group - Press Release - Bilderberg Meetings.  That link go right to their website, the Precariat and the Middle Class is item 9 on their agenda. The agenda itself is very vague and predictable, they will discuss Trump and the Brexit; but, also other things, most of which are too vaguely listed. Yet, the word precariat was new to me so I looked it up.

Wikipedia - The Precariat.

The precariat are the people who we do not have jobs for and because of that they are useless to society as a whole in any material manner. While you may have an emotional response to that issue, it is the truth that we no longer need as many people because machines and computers can replace manual laborers and not everybody is smart enough to be a brain surgeon.

I have been writing about this for years; but, now the establishment is openly discussing the issue. Apparently the term was first used in 2014 in a book titled "Precariat, The New Dangerous Class".  You see, the machines are coming and the establishment is asking the question of what is to be done with those who cannot contribute, those who cannot outperform the machines.

The real question of this earth is quite simple and the people in charge know the question, should the rest of us at least ask it of ourselves?  God said "Go forth and procreate".  We have and he never said there would be to many of us and there is not, there are enough of us where all could live quite well; but, we don't need everyone to give back. We no longer need manual labor, we don't need the most basic workers anymore or at least very few of them. We won't even need trashmen, that can be automated.

Remember this, we need very few painters, movie makers, writers, singers, or CEOs. What do we do with those who we do not need and how many of those who do not contribute do we wish to take care of?

If not today then by tomorrow you will be the precariat and if not you, your children. Be well.

Cesar Chavez, Trump and Illegal Immigration.

I remember Cesar Chavez, heck we hold a holiday for him in California. I also remember Edward R. Murrow, the best journalist ever. Decades ago, Mr. Murrow did an investigative report about how Mexicans were treated on the farms in California. The wealthy use illegal immigrants to keep costs down by not paying them what legal Americans get for the same work. Nothing has changed.

Let me ask you a question, why are wealthy Americans paying to fight Trump on illegal immigration, because they care so much about them or because they make so much off of them. Follow the money every time and you will get the answers you seek 99% of the time.

Let's be clear, if I was poor and lived in Mexico, I would find a way to get her. Heck, My great-grandfather came here from Ireland to avoid being killed by the British because he had killed a English soldier and was part of the original Irish Republican Army. Having said that, who in their mind would be promoting more illegal immigration and who would benefit from it? It is because they are illegal immigrants that the people who employ them can pay them less. It is simple math, oh, and the employers don't have to pay Social Security, Workers Compensation or make sure that they have healthcare.

Firstly, I believe in community and nation. God, family and country. I am an American of Irish decent, I am an American first because this country took my family in. Secondly, if it were not for Mexican immigration, we would not have enough people to do our jobs and certainly not enough who we could live with without extreme problems. I don't shy from issues, would you rather have 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants or 12 million illegal Arab Muslim immigrants? Don't shy from the question, say it doesn't matter and let others judge whether you are right or wrong. Look to Brussels of England for your answer. Mexicans don't have their own version of the law, Muslims have Sharia law and enforce it on people in countries that do not and are democratic rather than theistic. They create their own laws within countries without a vote or any agreement.

So, what is the impact if we allow illegal immigrants to stay in this country on them? They will continue to get less than everyone else and not be made citizens, they will not even be second class citizens. Now, what would benefit illegal immigrants, only two things, either they get kicked out or are given the chance to be legal citizens. Trump has said that he will kick them all out and then allow them back in the country if they had not committed crimes. Is that better or worse for illegal immigrants? How come the people who are against Trump over this issue don't just want to give them all citizenship? Not a tough question, they want them here; but, they don't want to give them the same rights as citizens and want to be able to kick them out if they fight the system. That is the money and that is the truth.

Now lets talk about Cesar Chavez again, what would he say? Hmmmm, he wanted everyone that worked on the farms to have the same rights, he wanted all that worked on the farms to be treated fairly and paid fairly. Remember what Kasich wanted for his state that was mainly agricultural, he wanted work visas with no benefits for the illegals, he represents the establishment view of immigrants, cheap labor with no rights. Think about it.

Trade and Education

Huffington Post - Targeting Trade and Trade Pacts for Job Losses Is Counterproductive in Presidential Campaigns.  The Huffington Post is pretty liberal, though, seems to be more behind Hillary than Sanders.  This writer claims that free trade agreements have been good for the United States because the trade deficit is offset by the increase in foreign investment in the United States. I want you to read that again and make sure you understand his argument.

What he has basically argued is that we lose in manufacturing; but, people who own the country are increasing their return by selling the country to foreign interests.  So who paid for the loss of manufacturing? The middle class. And who benefited from the increase in asset sales, the .1%.

So yesterday was Memorial Day, a holiday to honor those who have fought for this country. Today, there were a number of movies about World War II on television. I watched a couple on Turner Classic Movies. I watched "The Cain Mutiny" and "Mr. Roberts". It reminded me of something, the wealthy got drafted during World War II also. By Vietnam, the wealthy were able to keep there kids in college and thereby avoid the draft, they found lots of ways to change the laws so that their kids didn't have to fight and risk their lives.

How many children of the people who run the financial industry are in Iraq, Afghanistan or the military at all? Do you think that globalists send their kids to join the military and fight for this country when they do not believe in nationalism? While much could be said about that, I want to talk about the effect it has. See, during World War II the wealthy fought alongside the poor and middle class, they made friends with people who had less and were risking their lives side by side with them. As a result of that war, America became the wealthiest nation in the world. Wealthy kids today only spend time with the middle or lower class when being served. They do not see themselves as having anything in common with the middle class or lower class because they don't know them on a personal level.

The one place where the young wealthy and middle class are treated almost like equals is in college; but, you are more likely to see people from foreign countries is in the more expensive colleges and you will be less likely to see middle class kids.

I came from a middle class family and my parents poured money into putting me through college. Law School cost them even more and I had to take out school loans. Upon graduating, it took me years to pay off those loans and I did, on time and early. My parents could not have done that today and I would have to had think long and hard before taking on the debt that it would cost today. I probably would have had over $150,000 dollars debt by todays standards. The equivalent of half of the cost of a house in Los Angeles today and I am being very conservative in my numbers. I don't know if I would have taken on that amount of debt.

Here is a question, if middle class and working class cannot afford and are not allowed into state run colleges, then why do we pay for them with our tax dollars? Why are we paying taxes for state run colleges and universities that take foreign students before American students because foreigners pay more?

Here is a thought, why not eliminate all funding for state Universities and use that money to give college vouchers to kids whose parents are middle or working class. Then are taxes will be used to educate our children and they will be free to pick which college to go to without cost being a problem? Isn't that the same logic that is used by the right to promote charter schools and vouchers for private school? It is; but, they will not come out in support of what I just said.

I forgot something, no college vouchers for anyone whose parents make over $300,000 a year, I think their parents don't need the rest of us to help pay for their kids college. Think about it.

The Future for Europe is Muslim. What Does that Mean for the United States?

I am going to discuss the Islamification of Europe tonight. Now, that is not quite accurate, it is about the Arab Islamification of Europe, there is a difference. Firstly, and I always try and get people to understand this, there are more Asian Muslims than Arabs. For some reason Americans seem to think that all Muslims are Arab, they are not. We don't talk about Asian Muslims in Russia, China, India or Southeast Asia. They don't come up because we are not bombing their countries.

This post is not so much about their religion or what they believe as it is about what Europe will be like in the future and what that might mean for America. While some of what I am going to show today may shock you, get beyond the shock and head directly to acceptance that this is what is going to happen.

Lets start with the population of Europe. While I wrote about this a long time ago, I am going to focus more on the changing demographic and less on the simple fact. The simple fact is that the west no longer produces enough children to maintain our populations or cultures. YouTube - World Population and Muslim Demographics.  If you watch the video you will learn the numbers, by 2050 most of Europe will be Muslim and of Arab decent. As I used to say in business, this is not a debate, it is just numbers. Right now it is estimated that 90% of the immigration to Europe is Muslim. You can think this is good, bad or be indifferent. If you don't recognize it though, you will fail to deal with the question of what it will mean for our relations with Europe and how it may affect geopolitical issues.

I was first exposed to this fact back in the early 1980s by one of my professors who was an expert on Russia and a consultant to them when they were still the Soviet Union. It is also one of the major reasons that the Soviet Union gave away Eastern Europe, they moved many of their own Muslims there first as if they had not, they would already be primarily Muslim and that did not set well with the Atheistic Communists.

So, what effects is this changing demographic having in Europe. Well lets start with this. YouTube - What Normal Muslims Think - And Europe Fails to Understand.  The video is only about three minutes long; but, I would rather you watch it then read my description.

YouTube - 'Sharia Patrols' Harassing Citizens in London, Belgium, Sweden. This video is from a 60 Minutes episode.

YouTube - Secrets Of Britain s Sharia Councils BBC Documentary.  This is from Panorama, a British investigative news show.  It is about how their is an Islamic court system that follows Sharia law working in Britain.

YouTube - Panorama: British Schools Islamic Rules. I highly recommend you watch the whole video so that you will understand what Europe will look like in the next couple of decades and what the new Europeans are teaching their children.

Now if you bothered watching the videos you might be pretty shocked right now and I understand that, Americans do not pay enough attention to what goes on in the rest of the world. It really doesn't matter because the numbers are the numbers and this is where Europe is headed. When the majority of people in Europe are Muslims of Arab decent do not expect Europe to have the same culture or beliefs as it had in the past. If you need a historical comparison, think of when the Europeans took over the Americas and killed and controlled the native people. What we are seeing is the beginning of a cultural shift, of a new Europe. Oh, and by the way, the new Europe will have all it's laws written by the European Union, not individual nations. Currently the EU writes 50% of the laws for European nations.

So, what can we expect our relationship with England to be when it is 50% Muslim? You think we will continue to be best friends or that they will support us in protecting the right of Israel to exist? How will you feel knowing that Britain and France which have many nuclear bombs is Muslim of Arab decent.

Some may think what I am writing is alarmist because it alarms them. Alarmism is used to motivate people to avoid something they fear, this is unavoidable, it is just numbers and those don't get scared and these numbers will not change. Germans, Italians, French and English people are not going to start having 8 kids per family. Imagine Americans suddenly seeing the majority of families having 8 kids. Not going to happen.

So, what happens when Europe is Muslim of Arab decent? I say of Arab decent because Asian Muslims don't blow themselves up in Israel, England, Europe or America. People like me who are planners ask themselves these questions. We prepare contingency plans. The U.S. government actually had contingency plans for invading Canada. That is documented and the British and Canadians knew it, cause they had contingency plans for dealing with it. The British plan was to do nothing because they determined there was nothing they could do. We are in the same position, there is nothing we can do to stop the changes that are coming and to tell the truth, neither does Europe.

From a business standpoint, how should we prepare for the change in Europe? I do not care what restroom Caitlyn Jenner uses, I do not care that gay people live together as spouses, I do not believe I have the right to tell another person what to do with their body even if it means that they might have an abortion, I do not care about people eating pork (personally I love pork), I don't care if blacks and whites have sex or not, I do not care what you think about tattoos, I do not care what you think about body piercings, I do not care about things that are personal choices that do not harm anyone but themselves. I have a strong Libertarian streak; but, I am more complex than the simplicity of Libertarianism. I am a realist and a nationalist, I believe in communities attracting similar beliefs and people that are free to switch communities for ones where they feel in agreement. It is not the belief of a community; but, the tolerance of freedom of belief in the community that defines it for me.

I have been told all my life that the person I am most like in my family was my great grandfather, my grandmother even said that. He was very politically interested and had been in the very early Irish Republican Army (it had a different name at the time). I never met the man, I do know that he told my father that when the Arabs and Chinese united, it would be a whole new world and not a good one for America. At the time, we had total control over Arabia and China was a joke and exported nothing, My great grandfather saw something different coming and he was right. What happens when China is the only manufacturing country and Europe is Muslim?

A lot has been said about the Irish, we have been stereotyped in so many ways. When people meet me they often assume that I am Jewish because I am well educated and urban. I find it funny because my name is as Irish as they get. My look is similar to that of Bono, blue eyes, had jet black hair and my skin is as white as it gets. Having said all that, it is true that when my great grandfather was growing up in Ireland, they had a pub society where people would go to the pubs to socialize and talk politics. The Irish in my great grandfather's day were know to talk about race, religion and politics in the pubs. That is how he grew up and the conversations were deep and probing into these issues. I don't think he ever thought the Muslims would overtake Europe; but, he knew that their beliefs and the beliefs of the Chinese combining would be a problem for others. Okay, not their beliefs their interests. All nations act on their interests or commit suicide.

So here is the point of the post. How should we deal with Europe and the European Union when it is controlled by Muslims? Alarmists and Idiots ignore the numbers and facts to their own detriment. The people who insisted that Trump would not win the Republican primaries are idiots and he is now the presumptive nominee. He will be the nominee unless someone kills him and then we will see an ever stronger reaction by the forces supporting him and possibly civil disturbance.

We have time to figure out how we will deal with these things in the future, here is no extreme rush and as the years travel forward, the numbers will be understood by more and more people, I am just giving my readers a heads up and the questions they will be asking themselves later to them now. Have a great week.

American Manufacturing and the Election

I have been reading articles that ridicule the idea of bringing back manufacturing. They all basically say that jobs coming back will go to robots. Okay; but, the revenue from manufacturing would return to the United States which would help take care of this country. The wealthy do not want that but the middle class and working class do, that is what the Sanders and Trump campaigns are about.

The wealthy's hate of Democracy and a strong middle class became fervent in the late 1960s and one indication of it was a memo written by Lewis Powell, who became a Supreme Court justice when he pleaded with the Chamber of Commerce to help change public opinion so that the power could be taken away from the majority.

The Powell Memorandum

He basically claimed that business could not tolerate the democratic process being used to fight against big business or for consumers. He called for using the educational system and the media to propagandize the middle class. Nothing has changed. Oh, that memo was issued in 1971, that is when the attacks on the middle class were began in earnest.

Donald Trump Wins the Republican Party Nomination

This has been the most fascinating election in my lifetime. I am clearly a news junkie and follow this stuff intensely. While I personally am a social Democrat, I cannot help but look at the media manipulation and spin that they put out to lead us to vote as they would want. Lets start with how this race began, it began with the media saying that nobody would vote for Trump and that he was a joke candidate. The Huffington Post actually put reporting on Trump in the Entertainment section.

In Indiana 92% of the people said the issue was jobs and the economy. Trump has won more votes than any other Republican in the history of the primaries. Trumps number one issue is American jobs and how illegal immigration and outsourcing to China effects those jobs. Here is what you need to understand, the people do not wish to be told how to vote by the media. They do not trust the media. This is a fact and their shrill attacks on Trump and even more importantly against people who voted for him has made the media even less trusted.

The Trump and Sanders candidacies are a slap in the face of the "business as usual" establishment. Neither Trump nor Sanders wants to see American jobs continue being sent overseas. Why didn't anyone else address this issue. Most of the Republicans said the way to create jobs was to give tax breaks to the wealthy; but, ignored that those jobs would be in China and not here. When Carrier decided to move their business it helped Trump win and that was the news story. That was the story because the media knows that the real issue is American jobs and the economy. The problem is that the media supports outsourcing because their owners support it. The 6 companies that own 90% of all the media are globalist companies.

When this election is over, there will be a lot that the media and the establishment will have to pay for. The media spin will no longer work and they will be trying to figure out what their future approach will be.

The media has constantly said that Cruz, Kasich and everyone other than Trump has a better chance of beating Hilly. Who could possibly believe such nonsense. Kasich got less than 10% of the vote in Indiana. Trump has locked up the nomination faster than any recent Republican candidates, has brought in millions of Democrats and Independents and has a greater turnout than anyone else. Trump has secured the nomination quicker than Clinton who lost tonight in Indiana. Combined Sanders and Clinton got just about the same amount of votes as Trump by himself. Trump had more votes in Indiana than ANYONE else. We had been told that Trump is hated by 2/3rds of the Republican likely voters; but, he has won more than half the delegates to date. Those numbers don't jive with what we are being told.

Trump has had over 10,000,000 votes cast for him. He has had more people vote for him than have voted for Clinton. People who voted for Cruz would NEVER vote for Clinton. People who voted for Sanders will vote for Trump. 92% of the voters identified jobs and the economy as the most important issue. The Republican party has seen the most votes in their history and those votes have been for Trump. These are just facts, personal feelings only deny us the ability to objectively view the facts. Hey, I would have preferred Sanders; but, I don't think he has a chance because of the Super Delegates and that annoys a lot of Democrats, like me. I am registered as a Democrat. In the primary, I will vote for Sanders because I cannot vote for Trump. It is not allowed in my state. If Sanders dropped out, I would not vote at all. I would not and have never voted for a Clinton. I have consistently said that I dislike the Clintons and Bushes. I do not trust them.

I have traditionally voted Republican, with a few Democrats in between. I voted as soon as I turned 18, knew the candidates and knew the issues. I stopped voting with Clinton and Bush. I mean I stopped voting. I stopped voting for Republicans because of the Bushes and Schwarzenegger and for Democrats because of the Clintons. I haven't seen anyone worth voting for in years. I didn't even see a viable protest vote to make, so I stopped. I lost hope that people would wake up and actually vote for someone who cared about this nation and the middle and working classes. Sanders and Trump, I believe, actually care about the people of this country and not just the wealthy.

I don't care if someone is Liberal or Conservative, as they used to say in the 60s, "Some of my best friends are conservatives (they used to say black)". Truth is, most of my friends are conservatives, not all, most. Hardworking, working and middle class, backbone of this country, self-reliant people. Everyone of them is voting for Trump. Everyone of my friends gives to charity, everyone of my friends would give someone in need the shirt off their back. I personally have taken in the homeless to live with me. My conservative friends know about that, they knew it when I was doing it. Most of my friends are Christians who I did not meet in church, I don't have any close friends from churches that I attended. While the people who I preached to may have liked me a lot, they were poor gay Hispanics most of which did not speak English. We didn't have a lot in common and I don't speak Spanish so we didn't talk about politics.

I should point something out. The church I preached at was not just gay and Hispanic, most of them were illegal aliens at some point. Yep, they were Christians who came here to avoid being killed in their own countries because they were gay. Most were given asylum for that reason. I am going to make a guess about something. Trump has said that he is against illegal immigration; but, he has also said that we should take in more Christian immigrants from Arab nations because there are threats against their lives. I bet he would allow in more gay Christian Hispanics if they lived in countries where their lives were at risk too. I would love to ask him that question because I would. I would take in any Christian whose life was threatened and any gay. I am as straight and square as a Saltine cracker; but, what I have in common with my conservative friends is that I am Christian and love others. Those are the Trump supporters I know.

Look, my friends and my world is as diverse as is possible. I have friends that are multi-millionaires and friends that don't have a dime to their name and need my help sometimes. I have as many young friends as old friends. I have friends of every color, creed, sex and sexual preference. I have friends from private industry and government and interest group. All my friends know my position on issues. I have the best friends in the world and they know my heart and I know theirs. I do not have friends that do not care about others or this country. That is the only thing we all have in common. We disagree on so many things, the people I go out to dinner with the most often, they are as old school conservative, working class, Republican as they come. They are also some of the most loving people I have ever had the pleasure to be around.

I would have to say that my heart is for Sanders and the pragmatist in me is for Trump. I think Trump is more like my friends than any of the others. I believe I could sit down with Trump, ask him hard private questions and I think I know how he would answer. Trump said something really important to me, he said that if he were president no American would die on the street because he couldn't get healthcare. He said that to the Republican party. A party that voted in congress 100% against Obamacare (the Affordable Healthcare Act, it's real name).

Trump is not a conservative and he is not a liberal, he is a pragmatist, nationalist and capitalist, just not crony capitalism. Trump has a middle class attitude and his children are the best example of this, they are not just some trust fund children, they have to work and work hard. I would love to meet his kids, especially, Ivanka and Eric (sorry Donald Jr., you are also impressive; but, I would rather ask them questions - test them). I know the question I would ask all of his children. If your father is the Republican nominee and he could not own any corporation and had to sell Trump Industries to go into the general election, would you tell him too. Now remember, his kids all work for that company. I think his kids would all tell him to sell the company and continue the race. I asked my kids once if they thought I should have taken jobs in the private industry that paid a lot more and were offered to me, they all said no, we had enough. That is what my kids told me and that is what his kids would say. I believe that and your kids don't learn that if they are lazy, greedy people.

There is no way that anything I say on this blog will effect the election. I have a very limited readership. I will probably never meet any of the Trumps and I am a social democrat. Socialism just means taking care of your neighbors, that is all it means. If Trump is alive when the final Presidential election is held, I will vote for Trump rather than Clinton. That will mean that in the past 20 years or so, I will voted for one Democrat (Sanders) and one Republican (Trump). I think that makes me an Independent. Have a great day.

Trump Protestors and Policies

I am pretty sure that we will not get back jobs unless both the left and the right unite. That to me is the single greatest challenge facing young people. The second biggest challenge is what we do with people when there are not enough jobs to go around. These are not complicated issues; but, they are rarely discussed by politicians. The two people discussing them are Trump and Sanders with the others just giving mouth service. Kasich and Cruz would lower taxes on the wealthy to increase jobs, even though that hasn't worked in the last 30 years and actually led to more jobs being sent overseas, and Clinton would spend more on retraining workers; but, that does nothing if there are no jobs for them to take. In fact, it is harder than ever before for people with college degrees to get jobs that pay more than the minimum wage.

Now, I was a Sanders supporter and believe in his positions the most; but, I am sadly disappointed in his refusal to tell his supporters to not make disruptive protests at Trumps rallies. That is an instance of the left failing to unite with the right over what matters, jobs and the economy. I am also disappointed in the rights calling Sanders a communist, when he is not, and berating his beliefs. The difference is that Trump is not calling on his supporters to protest anyone's rallies.

So what are the protestors saying? Well, Trump gave a speech in California today and I watched a lot of news reports. Not one mentioned jobs, the wars, the economy, social security or welfare. Not one. They talked about racism. Now, I do not know what is in someone's heart and have no idea if Trump is racist; but, having been in the public eye for over 35 years they have not found one instance of Trump saying anything negative about blacks or Asians. His comments regarding illegal aliens is about immigration and borders, not about Latinos. For those who may remember I preached to Latinos from all over south and central America and Mexico. In fact, the last time someone tried to portray me as a racist they were laughed at by people of their own race. It was an attempt by someone in business to undercut me. Two things that never worked in business against me were trying to call me a racist or a liar. Both would get you laughed at even by my enemies. I don't even hate the English and they starved one fourth of my people, the Irish to death including my family members.

The Pimpernel has been writing this blog for about 7 years and there is not one thing that anyone can point to and say was racist. I got mad at black churches saying gays should die; but, I also get mad at white churches for saying the same thing. I wish ill on none; but, will call out others for wishing ill on others. If I ran for office they would probably use that to say that I was pro-gay, anti-family and racist because that is the way the establishment divides and conquers. The reason they would have to go after me without discussing what I have said is the real issue, jobs and the economy. They don't want those things to be solved to the benefit of the American people, they want profit at the expense of this nation.

Now lets talk about the women's "issue". On a personal level I will start with this. For most of my career I had a higher number of female employees than in the rest of the organization. There are a lot more women in administrative positions than in other construction jobs. I transferred jobs at one point and my old supervisor was immediately challenged by all of my former employees for being sexist and anti-minorities. I later found out that they had waited to formally challenge him until I had left because they didn't want me to be dragged into it. When I retired I thanked the people who worked for me because they always took care of things and gave me the time to work on long term projects that benefited the organization. My employees were great because I let them be great and expected success in all our endeavors, they never let me down. Mano of the women that worked for me would confide in me, they trusted me. Again, if you have read this blog then you have never seen me say anything derogatory about women as a gender. Yet, I have said that my wife was an adulterer. If I were running for office they would say that I was anti-women. Trump got in a fight with Rosie O'Donnell and the media has said that what he said about her was anti-women. It was just anti-Rosie. One can also see the things she said about him; but, nobody called her anti-men.

This is what we need to consider. If you ask black or Mexican Trump supporters why they support him they will say jobs and the economy. That doesn't get reported; but, it is important. Before we went into Iraq, Trump and Sanders were both saying that we should not. They are the only ones running for President who said that. You know the last time we have seen protests like the ones we are seeing now, it was protests against the war in Vietnam. We have not seen the young protest against the war in Iraq as much as we have seen them protest Trump. I find that disgusting. Trump has said that he doesn't want to constantly go to war and that he wants the United States to demand more from the NATO and other countries for us to protect them. Sanders hasn't even said that. In fact, George Wallace (1968 Presidential candidate who was an avowed racist) did not get as many protests as Trump and Wallace was for segregation and attempted to deny black children from entering a white public school.

The point I am trying to get you to ask is, why now? Why the protests now. I do not believe it is actually about Trump. We know that "Black Lives Matter" is the most organized protest group right now and we also know that members had protested at Trump rallies. We know that there are many conservatives that have gone after "Black Lives Matter"; but, Trump really hasn't been part of that discussion. We also know that "Black Lives Matter" had protested at some of Sanders rallies, even forcing him off the stage at one. Now, while I find the number of unarmed blacks being shot by cops appalling, I believe they are protesting Trump because he gets larger crowds. Their playbook calls for going to the largest events they can, Sanders was just the largest crowd for Democrats. Since Trumps rallies have dwarfed Bernies they go to Trump's rallies. I understand this from a strategic, get media attention; but, it sort of misses the point. Neither Trump nor Sanders is racist and both want to expand opportunities.

Finally, here is my point. WE have a problem and the problem is opportunity and power for the majority of people in the United States. If we do not create more jobs for Americans and take care of all Americans then we will become a third world nation. Climate change is not the threat to Americans, not being able to feed ourselves as automation takes over is the threat, not having jobs is the threat, not having enough to live on is the threat. I usually chastise the conservatives for not finding common ground with liberals; but, the liberals are making the exact same stupid divisive move. They have been divided and conquered by the establishment that will not address the real issues.
