DWP Water lies

I really am laughing my ass off. The City of Los Angeles is blaming the water pipe failures all over the City on increased pressure in the pipes due to people not watering their lawns on certain days. The story, and it is a story, is that because of water conservation on the days when people do not water their lawns, the pressure in the pipes increases.

Water your lawn or we will all drown

Let me explain why this is pure horse manure. Firstly, it is not how much water that goes out of pipes that causes increased pressure, it is how much you pump in. Are we to believe that DWP did not know which days less water would be used, they track such things.

And again, why are we continuing to pump water out of the central valley that we do not need. We are supposedly in a drought, why continue pumping water from an area that needs it. Unless you are retarded you would know that DWP constantly monitors the pressure in the pipes, heck, they admit it. If you saw the pressure too high, wouldn't you decrease how much you were pumping?

If you know anyone that works in the water industry ask them to read the article that I linked to and tell you the answer. I already know, I know people in DWP. One more thing, lets not forget that two of the pipes that burst were gray lines, pipes taking reclaimed water, those were not effected by the water conservation rules.

I love it when I am lied to, reminds me of the ex.

Teach

Ahhh, one of the readers comments was "Teach". Yes, I should teach, I have learned a thing or two about government and enjoy the dialectic. But, who would I teach and what? Hmm, perhaps we will think about this later. Be well.
