An Autonomus Internet of Everything

I was on a trip last week and attended a jazz concert tonight; however, I did save up articles in the news to post on. I travelled with my sister and we had a wonderful time, one of the best trips of my life. We met many people, enjoyed good food, experienced wonderful service everywhere we went and had a great time just talking. I brought up self-driving cars and she said she didn't think she would see it in her life, she didn't know it is already here. I hope my readers are sharing this information with others.

Yahoo - AP - After Alps crash, some experts ponder flights without pilots. The line that sums this article is, "In my mind, it's a done deal," she says. "The business case is so strong." Let me repeat what I have said since the beginning of this blog. All transportation will be autonomous, you will not own your transportation vehicle and it will determine how you get where you are going.

Yahoo - Colorado Teacher Shares Heartbreaking Notes From Third Graders. Things kids wanted their teacher to know.

thelocal.no - Earthworms rain from sky over Norway. You name it and it has been falling from the sky for thousands of years. There have been documented cases of fish, frogs and all sort of animals falling from the sky.

Reuters - First experiment 'editing' human embryos ignites ethical furor. China is now openly publishing in medical journals that they are experimenting with changing the dna of humans on humans. This, the modification of the human creation is the beginning of the end and I am not overreacting or joking. There is no way to stop this from occurring. Even if it were outlawed, it would go on in the dark.

Fox News - In first, Norway will shut off FM radio in 2017. There are laws that regulate radio; but, many of those protections do not apply to the internet. This is another wave of the future.

CheatSheet - How America’s Middle Class Dug Its Own Grave. Basically the self serving article says that it is the middle classes fault for trusting our government that allowed a few wealthy people to outsource all of our jobs and take away our benefits. We should have know the wealthy would take advantage of us and didn't believe in the United States and community.

ABC News - Study: Self-Driving 'Taxibots' Could Replace 9 in 10 Cars. The rich don't believe people are valuable or necessary. Technology is God if all you care about is your pleasure.

Still here, still paying attention, still wanting you to see more. Peace.

Odds and Ends I Forgot to Post

Rolling Stone - Matt Taibbi - For David Brooks, the Rich Are People, the Poor Are Numbers. First a  comment. Matt Taibbi is one of very few people, authors of stories that I link to whose name appears with the link. Usually I post the name of the source, where they got the story from if it came from a news service and the story headline with the link below it. I post Matt's name because I think he is worthy of it and I enjoy most of his articles. He is one of the last true investigative and contemplative journalists left.

Forbes - Employees Forgo Wellness Cash Incentives Worth Millions. The article is from a magazine for the rich. The author is either ignorant or just really naïve. Wellness programs are started by companies to improve their bottom line by decreasing health risks. She fails to point out any details of what these people would have to do for the $30 gift card or other such nonsense.

CNN - New Ford car automatically obeys speed limits. How nice, a car that will make sure that you are driving at the right speed so you don't get a speeding ticket. How long before they become mandatory. Bye, bye Highway Patrol, you are being replaced with technology.

Yahoo - The Fiscal Times - Outrageous public pensions could bankrupt these states. The article complains that people who have already retired based upon contractual promises made for them while they were working should be lowered if it is convenient for the municipality or state. Lets say you went into government under the promise that you would get $15 an hour and an extra dollar a year would be put into a savings account for you that you could live on once you retire. Once earned, that money is no longer your employers, it is yours. Using the article, why couldn't the state or municipality come back to you, years later, and tell you that they couldn't afford to pay you that $15 an hour that they did and now want $2 back for every hour you ever worked for them. These two things are the same thing.

Wooly Mammoths and Stupid Scientists

The Telegraph - Woolly mammoth could roam again as extinct DNA merged with elephant. Scientists at Harvard claim to have spliced the genes from the extinct wooly mammoth with elephant dna. The belief is that they can bring back the wooly mammoth; but, in reality it is more like Frankenstein and unnecessary. The world has survived just fine for the last 30,000 years without the wooly mammoth and the elephants that do exist are now going extinct. So, what is the real purpose of the work?

All the money that is going into this project is NOT about bringing back the wooly mammoth. That will happen; but, there is another purpose to the project. Currently it is illegal to combine human dna with that from other animals; but, it is being done in China and North Korea. Investigate who is funding the wooly mammoth experiment and I bet there is U.S. government money somewhere or money from the defense industry. If you cannot experiment on humans, you experiment on animals. That is what is going on in my opinion.

A 3.5 Earthquake is Nothing

I was sitting in my chair and watching a show on Netflix on my computer when I felt a small tremble. It turned out that it was a "earthquake", a 3.5 earthquake. I had one of my children in the house and they didn't even notice. Having said that apparently  a bunch of people took to Twitter to say how big it was. It was nothing.

Living in Southern California and certain other places means you will experience earthquakes, small, medium, large and devastating. They are not all the same; but, people who did not grow up with them freak out. I just laugh and wonder why they are such wimps. That is the question why do people get so freaked out by earthquakes and yet, not have the same fear about hurricanes? I think I have a possible answer.

Most natural disasters can be easily understood. In the end a hurricane is just a really strong storm and we understand storms. A blizzard is a really strong snow storm and we understand snow storms. Even tsunamis make sense because anyone who lives near the sea understands it's amazing strength. We look to the earth to provide our stability, we trust in the land and believe we can own it, that it can be ours. That all goes out the window when you experience an earthquake. An earthquake proves to us that we have no control over the world, not even the land.

Detanglement Theory Spouses

I was looking up the searches that led people to my blog and one of the searches was "detanglement theory spouses". I had written a post about entanglement and soul mates. Entanglement is a quantum physics theory. It is when two particles react to each other almost instantaneously even though it is theoretically impossible for them to be effecting one another because of the distance between them. There are those who believe the same thing occurs between souls, between people. When people become emotionally entangled we call them soul mates.

Someone searched the term "detanglement theory spouses" as far as I know, that is not a concept in quantum physics. Why do you think someone would use those search terms? I assume the concept would be one regarding how two soul mates could stop being such. The fact is that once entangled they cannot be separated. The problem is that sometimes we think we are entangled, have found our soul mate; but, the reality is that we are not. Being a spouse does not mean being a soul mate all the time.

The fact that the person searched with the term "spouses" rather than "soul mates" indicates that the person who searched it is married or recently divorced and trying to figure out how to stop caring about their spouse. The answer only comes with time. Detanglement from spouses comes with time. You just have to understand that you were never really entangled, just in love and love can die. Care can remain, we can care about everyone. A different type of love.
