Financial and Tech News Worth Knowing

Huffington Post - The Wall Street Pension Scam. A short article that raises some good questions. I think it is interesting that many CEOs and wealthy individuals have no problem with paying CEOs bonuses when they have losses for the company or providing enormous fees to them when they leave the company; but, complain about pensions.

CNN - City of Tomorrow. This short video series shows what cities might look like in the future. While it presents everything as a positive, what it is really trying to convince you of is that being monitored by computers 24/7 is beneficial.

New York Times - A Synthetic Biology Conference Lures an Intriguing Audience. A big part of this blog is really about providing information to the readers on trends that they may not be aware of or that are more advanced than people suspect or understand. I strongly urge the readers to read the actual article. The article discusses the governments interest in turning living things into biological machines. Here is a quote from the article, "He added, “The most exciting and frightening thing I saw this morning was a slide talking about designing and synthesizing genomes next to a slide describing a human being.” and this, "In his own presentation, the F.B.I. agent, Carmine Nigro, bluntly warned, “These technologies do not just pose a risk to individual buildings or cities, but if cleverly deployed, can reduce our population by significant percentages.”

Wired - Square’s Found a Way to Beat Banks at the Loan Business. Square is a payment processing company that allows you to not have to carry cash. They are now offering cash advances to vendors that use their service. The point is that we are moving to cashless and this will bring in an all new form of banking and loans. As we go cashless, more and more of your financial transactions will be tracked and using sophisticated programs known as algorithms companies will be able to predict what you will do.

Wired - Microsoft’s Futuristic New Tool Translates Skype Calls in Real Time. If you don't feel like reading the whole article, just watch the video. Basically, the technology now exists that allows people's spoken words to immediately be translated into another language.

Huffington Post - Here's What Corporate America Really Thinks About You. The article discusses how we are all catagorized by data handlers, read the list and see where you fit in and how you are viewed.

A New Baloney Sandwich and News

Okay, I am going to include some websites that I don't necessarily agree with entirely. I don't like paranoia (except in my personal life) or fear mongering. I also have said many times that I don't believe buying gold will protect you against anything. If any website promotes gold purchases than ask yourself why they don't point out that any transaction for gold worth more than $500 must be reported to the government and that if you have gold that you cannot prove was an approved sale can be confiscated. In either case, the sources were pointed out by these websites so I shall link to them rather than just scavenge the information.

Zerohedge - Jon Stewart Disembowels SecTreas Geithner. A good interview with Timothy Geithner; but, still fails to hit the obvious. Geithner was head of the Treasury and uses the same old baloney that nobody saw what was coming when the economy crashed; but, that is a LIE. The truth is that an inverted yield curve occurred prior to the crash and that is one of the number one things that the Fed looks at to predict recessions and depressions. Greenspan (the then head of the Federal Reserve) was specifically asked by congress if he was concerned about the inverted yield curve and he said that he didn't think it mattered this time. Do you really believe that the Treasury didn't listen to Greenspan when he spoke to congress?

EndoftheAmericanDream - Government Plan Would Transform Israel Into The World’s First Cashless Society. The point is that countries all around the world are moving to cashless. I thought it was interesting that 80% of all transactions in America are electronic. Those of us that are older still use cash and checks and we don't notice how few others do. That which you abhor and ignore becomes invisible to you. I talk to people my age and older and mention these things and they say they never pay attention to them or that they don't want to use electronic payments, they miss the point, this is what is coming. The younger people on the other hand complain that they have to wait while people write checks or pay in cash.

Wired - Forget Robots. We’ll Soon Be Fusing Technology With Living Matter. Where is PETA when you could actually use them. I read this article a while back about a pig in China who lived a tortured life with a tube in it's stomach to retrieve some sort of bile from it. It had a baby piglet and they did the same to the baby so it killed the baby rather than see it live in such pain. When we play with the genetics of other species are we not evil? I don't mind eating meat, I like it. I do however detest torture on any living being.

Yahoo - Google Reveals Self-Driving Car with No Steering Wheel or Brakes. Here is the thing about a world of self driving cars, you won't be able to drive them to places you are not allowed to even if you want to.

Nigel Farage and Other News

For the past couple of years I have mentioned and Englishman named Nigel Farage. Mr. Farage is the leader of UKIP which is sort of the British version of the Tea Party. They have been pretty much vilified by the existing British parties and were deemed a fringe group. They are against open immigration with other EU countries and want to leave the European Union.

Now most Americans have probably never heard of UKIP or care about whether or not England is part of the EU. Heck, most Americans don't even know what the EU is. The European Union is a financial and political organization that includes most of Europe. The EU began as a free trade zone and overtime morphed into something more. Now about 70% of the laws in Britain come from the EU. It began to prove it's real intent and that is to be a United States of Europe, one large nation.

Now, if the Europeans want to become one country, I certainly would not have a problem with it. People should be free to organize as they like. The problem as Mr. Farage and others see it is that the people did not get a chance to vote on whether or not they would be in the EU. The people in the EU do not even get to vote on who the President of the EU is and most people do not know his name. His name is Herman Van Rompuy and is Belgian.

The reason I bother mentioning any of this is so that you understand what is happening and what is coming. Mr. Farage wants to see England vote against membership in the EU and all the other parties support being in the EU. Well, on Sunday Mr. Farage's party got more votes than the other parties and now he will be pushing even harder for a vote on EU membership and it has a lot of EU supporters scared. The story of his party is the story of the week, not the story of the shootings in Santa Barbara or the Kardashian marriage. Nope, the story that is going to effect you and all of us is the future of the EU.

Now to other news.

Investors Business Daily - Apple might buy Beats Electronics with foreign cash. So the word is that Apple was looking to buy Beats electronics with money made overseas so that they won't have to pay taxes in the United States.

Wired - Prepare for Nightmarish Swarms of Google Robot Cars, Says Zipcar Founder
. The bottom line of the article is that the person who heads Zipcar (a car sharing service) sort of attacked the idea of self driving cars by saying that they would only cause more cars to be on the road doing errands for the owners without the owner having to experience the wait. The real story is what she said later, "The solution may be ensure that autonomous cars become the new public transportation, rather than private possessions. Instead of being owned by individuals, they should be owned by cities or by rental car and ride-sharing companies, Chase argues." As I have said many times, the attack is upon personal mobility, not mobility as a whole.

Wired - Darpa Turns Oculus Into a Weapon for Cyberwar. Oculus is a virtual reality headset and it was developed for gamers while the real intent has always been warfare.

Yahoo - Reuters - IMF's Lagarde calls for closer cooperation among central banks. The International Monetary Fund head is calling for more "cooperation" among the world's Central Banks, or a one world financial policy. Now this will not happen tomorrow; but, I see the EU ceding monetary control to the United Nations through either the World Bank or the IMF.

No Article - I don't usually talk about "popular" topics because there is more than enough written and said about them that they are not worth discussing until much later. I want to talk about what happened in Santa Barbara. Firstly, I attended some of the same schools as the killer and lived in the same area many years ago. He made a few videos and in the last one he said how he wanted to be adored by women and hated them for not doing so. Satan wanted to be adored, a friend of mine told me that about someone else. We can speculate as to why he came to believe the things he did; but, in the end he wanted to be God and was willing to do anything to prove that he should be, that he was better than humans who he referred to as dumb animals. The thought that led to the carnage was that people don't matter and they do. Everyone of you matters, even people like the killer; but, they choose to be their own gods and in the end they may get the hell they wish for. Lets be the best we can and pray for grace and forgiveness and show the same.

How about some music

The Pimpernel had to have a couple of hemorrhoids removed today. In the words of Curly from the Three Stooges, I feel like I am losing my mind. LOL. I was actually nervous going in and had had the procedure before. I even had the same doctor before. The end result is that I am feeling a fair amount of discomfort and just don't feel like reading the news that much, so I am posting some music.

News that Should Distrurb

Yahoo - Reuters - Cars could drive themselves sooner than expected after European push. Bottom line, they changed the laws in Europe to allow for self driving cars. Fear of Fairness

I am reading more and more things from wealthy people decrying the idea of poor people being given a chance or being treated fairly. They don't couch it in those terms and don't see it in those terms. The basic tenets of their belief system are what is known as "Social Darwinism", they believe that they were successful because they were genetically superior because their family genes and race has made them somehow better than the rest of us. This is the basis of monarchies. They also believe the inverse, they believe that poor people are genetically inferior and therefore should not have children. This is also why they hate the autistic with High IQs, they cannot compete with them.

I want you to understand why powerful people are against a minimum wage high enough to allow people to live on it. It is the same reason why they decry giving anything to the poor. They have a bitter and cynical view of the world, one in which it is everyone for themselves; but, expect that they will have all the privileges and advantages that are derived from living in this society. Much of their philosophy comes from a woman named Ayn Rand. In fact one of her followers was the Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan. The same man that was against any regulation of Wall Street; but, was very much responsible for the bail outs of the banks which is far from capitalistic.

Bonner & Partners - Redistribute the Wealth!. The writer complains thatDrunken thugs to be fitted with tags that check them for alcohol: Bracelets will allow offenders to escape with a caution if they stay sober for 120 days the pope had called for helping the poor. He begins by dismissing God and religion as okay when not followed and that faith is just people faking it for etiquette's sake. He then wrongly states that the bible never called for giving away wealth. Maybe he doesn't understand the bible because he has never read the whole bible. One of the most important stories of the New Testament is where the rich young man came to Jesus and explained how he didn't sin and did good things and he asked Jesus what he needed to do to be saved. I cannot tell you if the young man was being sarcastic or sincere though the story is generally discussed as if the man was being sincere. In either case, Jesus responded by saying that the young man should give up all his possessions and follow him. They young man left because he couldn't part with his wealth. Jesus was asked about it and he said that it was harder for a wealthy person to be saved than it was for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.

Mail Online - Drunken thugs to be fitted with tags that check them for alcohol: Bracelets will allow offenders to escape with a caution if they stay sober for 120 days. Your IWatch as tattle tale. In the future you will be required to wear an device that will monitor your physical condition and actions.

Yahoo - The Fiscal Times - 6 Housing Trends That May Surprise You. I have to start by saying that none of the trends surprised me and it makes me question why it surprised the writer. The trends are that home prices are going up, almost half of all housing purchases were in cash, young people and first time buyers are decreasing from the market, there are fewer people getting mortgages, jumbo loans are up and the housing market is not recovering. If one looks a little deeper they will see that hedge funds have been moving money out of the stock market and into assets including houses which they pay for in cash.

The Atlantic - Thomas Piketty Is Right About the Past and Wrong About the Future. There is a man named Piketty that wrote a book about income inequality. The book has shaken the financial world to it's foundations by questioning why income inequality exists. It is praised as being incredibly well researched and documented. It's basic premise is that capitalism leads to inequality and skewered wealth distribution or an unfair distribution of wealth.

The Atlantic - The Not-So-Distant Future When We Can All Upgrade Our Brains. People believe that soon we will be able to improve ourselves by genetically or technologically upgrading ourselves. There are people fascinated by the fact that they hope one day they will be able to buy brilliance. Aspergers is a form of Autism and those who of that nature see things that others cannot, this frequently makes them fit in poorly with society. The world is currently seeking to cure autism and use chemicals or technology to create people with the same abilities. There is this assumption that somehow we can have our senses improved drastically and it not have a toll or overwhelm; but, watch some videos of people hearing for the first time and read up on how they quickly come to feel overwhelmed and often turn down or off their own hearing devices. Some Autistic people smash their heads into the wall to make all the noises and input go away and now we have transhumanists who seek to put themselves in the same position.

There are those who believe in transhumanism and are seeking rules for it's use. One person has suggested five rules. They are as follow:

1. The right to self-knowledge
2. The right to self-modification
3. The right to refuse modification
4. The right to modify/refuse to modify your children
5. The right to know who has been modified

The meaning behind and the lack of morality behind all of these are interesting; but, I wish to focus on number 4. The right to modify your children without their permission or understanding. True permission cannot be given without understanding. There are people who argue that one should not be allowed to circumcise their children; but, they should be allowed to genetically or technologically modify their children.

Mail Online - Forget PINs - now you can withdraw cash with your VEINS: Hitachi rolls out biometric scanning technology for ATMs. I had previously written about this in relation to Japan; but, it is now being tested in Sweden which has become a cashless society where your biometrics are your identification for you to use your electronic currency.

Hope you enjoyed the post and that it gives you some things to think about.

Still Dangerous

I have a lot of mottoes. One of them is that there are two types of people in this world, the dangerous and the irrelevant. This particular saying only applies to wars and business. I used to be considered dangerous; but, the opinion seems to be that little old Pimpernel isn't what he used to be and as my retirement approaches there seems to be some question as to whether or not I have lost my abilities. In fact, I was called in at the last minute to deal with an audit. It has apparently been going on for around 6 months and all of our best have been working on it. Well, we had a meeting scheduled regarding the final report which I received Saturday morning and knew practically nothing about. Prior to the meeting our internal people meting and I requested that I be allowed to present the answers. There were those who questioned my ability to answer all of the questions which were wide ranging covering multiple disciplines and topics. Pimpernel felt insulted by such a question; but, as I had not been involved I understood it. I did however demonstrate the my answers were better than everyone elses and was allowed to attend. It turned out to be a good thing as many of the others who were to attend were taken away to a more pressing matter.

I attended the meeting with an old timer who knew our operations inside and out and had actually seen me do my thing once before and a young gun who had never seen me in action. Both of them had been involved from the start and each is intelligent; but, they had never seen me in a situation like this. I was exquisite. It was sublime. I left my opponents dazed and confused and my coworkers with a new found respect for my abilities including my ability to strategize and execute with no net. I was able to demonstrate my depth of knowledge of all fields and my industry. How well did I do, well half way through the meeting, the old expert on the other side asked me if I wanted a job as an auditor when I retired and I am not even a CPA and he knows it. It felt great. It felt great to know that I still have it and to see that everyone around me understood just how good I was.

Current Lies and Coming Changes

I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of views for my last few posts, especially the last one. It seems hardly worth posting if my little blog is completely unread. I wrote a similar post on a social site and it received hundreds of views in two days, perhaps this blog has served its purpose and I should dedicate myself to one of the social sites that has more readers. Until that time, I still have more to say here.

The Telegraph - David Cameron: Taxes will rise unless we can raid bank accounts. The title of the article is misleading and propaganda. In fact, what Cameron is calling for is not raiding everyone's bank accounts as was done in Cyprus or Greece or Poland, it is to take tax money that is owed from the wealthy which was not paid directly from their bank accounts. You see, London is now the home to more billionaires than any other country, rich Americans with duel citizenship are renouncing their citizenship to avoid taxes, moving to London and keeping their wealth in America and other countries where it will cease being taxed as they are now foreign citizens and England wants to be able to tax them when they arrive there.

The New York Times - Hardship Makes a New Home in the Suburbs. Historically, the poor lived in the suburbs and the wealthy in the cities. Up until World War I, this remained true. After World War I, the poor began moving to the cities and after World War II, it was the majority living in the cities, that is when Agra business began taking over the farms. Now rural America is dead and the poor are in the suburbs. If you bother, you can read the Rockefeller Commission report from 1971 or 1970 on Sustainable growth which explains how we need to get the poor out of the cities and back to the suburbs. The housing bubble was no accident.

Yahoo - Reuters - Tiny houses a way off the streets for Wisconsin homeless. We are going to give 99 square foot "homes" to the homeless, some will even have little flower boxes. This is a good thing for the homeless and when the average worker gets his 250 square foot apartment, he will know he is better off than the homeless.

Yahoo - Business Insider - This Guy Arrived In The US With $26, Sold A Startup For Half A Billion, And Is Working On Another Cool Company. This guy arrives in the United States with 26 bucks and makes millions, a one in 7 billion chance of this kind of success. That is worse odds than the lottery. They try and make out like anyone can do it. Here is the truth, your odds of being born as smart as me are about 1 in 100,000 or worse. How much control did you have over that or your mother drinking alcohol while she was pregnant? NONE.

Newsmax - Michael Savage: Pope Should Redistribute Vatican's Income First. The new pope has called for helping the poor and Mr. Savage and others response remains the same, it remains, "You Help Them" and they act as if they are being attacked for not caring about their brothers and sisters. They are, they are being given their chance, they are just so selfish that they don't see it.

YouTube - APPLE EXPOSED: The TRUTH About ISlave's At FOXCONN Factory!!. The video takes ten minutes so that you can understand how American companies are shipping our jobs overseas because they can work people to death from the age of 12 in communist countries. Don't tell me you care about others if you cannot spend the ten minutes and stop buying Apple products until they are built in America and pay better than minimum wage for making the products.

Yahoo - Reuters - Rising U.S. economy could help Democrats stave off election loss. Lets start with this, the economy is only improving for the top one percent with most of the benefit going to the top .01 percent. I will ask what Reagan did, are you better off today than you were a year ago, how bout, five years ago, how bout, ten years ago? The economy is not improving, so why are they claiming it is and that the dreaded Democrats are hiding this from you? Because they don't want you to vote for anyone who does not publicly support them stealing even more from the rest of us.

CNN - Belief - Update: Harvard's satanic 'black Mass' cancelled. Yes, if you have read the blog long enough you know that I preach to a Christian church. Okay, and I believe in freedom of religion, just like the Constitution says. Satanists are religious even the ones who believe Satan is a metaphor.

You know, I just had a thought. I have such a small viewership, maybe, I should discuss things that I know that are not generally known, like, oh, I don't know, maybe I could discuss how the intelligence agencies work in the United States. The funny things like how they recruit, how they monitor and how they decide what is and is not worthy of taking action on. The last one is the most interesting in my opinion. Hope you have a great week.

A Modest Proposal On Government

We have a problem, we have lots of problems and the government is no longer looking out for the citizens, it is only looking out for specials interests and we all know it. Congress has about a 10% approval rating, that means 9 out of 10 of us no longer trust congress. Oh, the Presidents isn't trusted by most of us either. The problem is we don't really get to pick the candidates because it costs so much to even run for local office and over a billion dollars to run for president.

The Tea Party tried running their candidates; but, they got nowhere. Ron Paul is an Ayn Rand following extremists and he sounds more reasonable than the people we are electing. The Occupy movement wanted to see change; but, they didn't want to use the system because they had no trust in the system. Both the Tea Partiers and Occupiers agree on somethings; but, waste their time arguing with each other over their differences rather than finding out what they agree on. They have been divided and conquered. The rest of us just vote for the lesser of two evils.

My modest proposal is that we create a national initiative. Many states have what is known as "initiatives" and "referendums". My proposal is modest as I believe we should give the people of this nation the ability to directly veto any legislation, we would be able to veto tax breaks for the wealthy and overturn previous legislation such as the Patriot Act. The way to achieve this is by Constitutional Amendment and some states already have state initiative laws in place, which allows them to vote for Constitutional Amendments directly.

Now I believe the Tea Party and many Republicans would vote for this and I believe many liberals and Occupiers would vote for this. We could overrule congress and the president when we disagree with them, including on Treaties. That is an important one believe me. Treaties have the same legal authority as the Constitution and it is how the rights that remain will be taken away.

Getting this legislation voted on by one state will terrify those who currently twist the system for their own benefit at the expense of the rest of us. These people we elected to represent us and do not can be removed. Imagine if one state voted on all federal law via initiative, that is also possible. Not much point in buying off a politician if his residents could over rule him. Think about the possibilities.

Genetic Modification

Huffington Post - Nature - Scientists Create First Living Organism With 'Artificial' DNA. The short is that scientists have created a new DNA with additional information not found anywhere in nature. The problem I have with these scientists is fundamental. Yes, they are playing God; but, take no responsibility for their creation. They do not take responsibility for the well being of their creation, yet, they create living beings. The Chinese used to believe that if you saved a man's life you were responsible for him for the rest of your life.

I have met people who curse God because they don't like this life. They blame him for everything that they dislike or feel restricted by. Being God would be a lot or responsibility. Being a parent is a lot of responsibility. Creating new life holds as much responsibility as being God; but, the scientists don't see that. When did creating a new living thing lose all concern? We are entering dark times.

YouTube - KRQE - Protesters takeover Albuquerque City Council meeting. The Albuquerque police have been shooting a lot of unarmed people lately and the people of Albuquerque are upset. The police in response have given lame excuses (the standard nonsenses) and the politicians have yet to do anything meaningful. Spin city in full force and the people know it and are fed up. The citizens came for public comment and the politicians left the room. I actually lived in a town that used to hold true Town Hall Meetings where the citizens actually wrote the laws. The true stupidity of the powers that be is that if they ignore the people enough, they will bring back direct democracy, the people will insist upon it and it is the history of this nation. Imagine how the powers that be will feel and their fears if a Constitutional Amendment was put in place making a national referendum a reality and bypassing all the little sell outs in congress? Frustrated people do rash things. A nation cannot survive on complete corruption of it's political and business class. I would bet money that both the tea partiers and the Occupy people could agree on a Constitutional amendment creating a national referendum (many states already have them) where the citizens propose legislation and ratify it themselves.

Blaming the Victim - Corporate Loving Psychopaths

Huffington Post - Why Many Unemployed Workers Will Never Get Jobs. So this scumbag that is supposed to be a motivational speaker and writer wrote an article in the Huffington Post about how the reason why young people don't have jobs is because they have the wrong attitude. Lets examine the points he attempts to make.

He starts by saying that, "Despite steady but slow economic improvement, unemployed workers aren't finding jobs." First of all, the economy is not improving. Here is a little article from The Economic Collapse - The “Economic Recovery” Continues: Businesses Are Being Destroyed Faster Than They Are Being Created. The article has some nice links including one to the Brookings Institute which points out that businesses are going away quicker than they are being created. If that isn't enough, all you have to do is read the labor statistics to know that we are losing jobs faster than we are creating them. In fact, the only people the economy is improving for is the top .1%. The bottom 99% is making less and less each year.

He next explains that the solution is job training. Seeing as how he is hired by companies to give that type of training and motivate employees, it seems sort of self serving; but, lets say he is a true believer and doesn't know much about economics, I could live with that. It is what he says next that really ticks me off. He says, "Despite billions of dollars invested in job skill training, it's not helping to reduce the unemployment rate, get more people back to work, and raising the standard of living. Why?" He then explains why, "Thanks to years of economic prosperity, government entitlements, union contracts and most recently a generation of helicopter parents, many workers from aging Baby Boomers to the young adults known as Millennials don't have the motivational skills to achieve their own success, to keep themselves safe, to avoid a personal crisis, and to get themselves out of a jam."

Wait a second, we are losing jobs and businesses and the problem is that people expect to get a job. How is that logical if unemployment is so high and we are losing millions of jobs. How do you blame young people for the over 40 million jobs we lost when they were still in elementary school? THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH JOBS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WANT ONE, that is a fact and those jobs were shipped off to Communist China, not because of people just enterring the workforce; but, because of a greedy group of people who benefited from this country and don't care about America. That is the truth.

Here is the truth, I have over 40 years of work experience in both the public sector and private industry, I am a physical wreck; but, with all that experience, if I wanted another job (I am retiring), I wouldn't find any competition from some young kid fresh out of college. Lets say you are hiring a salesman who gets paid commission, would you hire a guy with 30 years of experience or a kid fresh out of college and no experience?

This jerk is blaming the victim and says that people should not expect to get a pension or medical or any benefits. Wait a second, he doesn't say anything about the people who employ him and get paid bonuses when the bankrupt their companies. He belittles the people of this country who want a job; but, expect it to pay him enough to have a place to live and food. Oh, he even attempts to use God and says, "I recently mentioned to someone that "God helps those who help themselves." Their response was to tell me God never said that. That is true by the way -- it's not actually in the Bible. But they missed my point." He's right, that isn't in the bible and he clearly misses the points made in the bible. The bible says to pay the worker his due and that we have a chance to know Jesus everyday by helping those in need.

He talks about pulling yourself by your own bootstrap. How are young people supposed to do that when the banks stole all the boot straps. I may be old and not in great shape; but, I worked for a long time and out performed everyone around me for decades and was well paid for it. I am tough on younger people and tell them that they are the only ones that can make their career; but, I also tell them that it is going to be a lot harder and take a lot longer and they will get a lot less. Lets be honest, selfish corporate interests sold out the United States for a quick dollar and have destroyed this country. That in and of itself is bad enough; but, to blame the kids who will have to live wish this is treason, it is un-American and disgusting.

When 10,000 people apply for 100 jobs you cannot tell me that 9,900 did not get a job because they were not motivated enough. People in France have jobs and have a real low productivity compared to Americans. Lets talk about productivity of workers, ours is about the highest, we work longer and harder than European country and with fewer benefits. He doesn't even talk about productivity of workers because that would show what a liar he is. You should also know that our workers productivity has continually increased while compensation has continually remained flat or decreased. How can we have such a highly productive workforce if it is all lazy unskilled people?

Everytime you see someone attacking the workers for expecting to be paid or have jobs in this country, let them know what liars and scum they are. Let them know that you understand that they are blaming the victims of their crimes and selfishness. Do you really want to live in the country these people are creating where your children cannot find work and get blamed for it?

Taxed For Every Mile, How Many Times Will I Say I Told You So

CBS Los Angeles - Sen. Introduces Bill To Test Out Taxing Motorists For Every Mile They Drive. Years ago I wrote about this and days ago I mentioned it again. There are no accidents. The long term plan is to charge everyone for every mile they drive, that is the plan and mentioned that years ago. I talked about how it was being tested in Oregon and Washington state later. Now two senators in California have introduced a bill in California to do just that on a "voluntary" basis. What a lie. It may start voluntary; but, it will end up mandatory. I wrote about how it will happen at least once and have mentioned it many times.

If we all fight it, they will not be able to pass it and they know that so they will divide and conquer and you will be in favor of it for electric and hybrid vehicles. Do you remember when people who bought hybrids could use the carpool lanes even when they drove by themselves and then they stopped being able to do that, you had to have bought your car before a certain date. New hybrids do not get that right. They just wanted to get people to buy hybrids to prime the industry.

A problem I face when I know what is going to happen is that I can never really be sure if I have discovered the intent or merely see how a thing will evolve and be used down the road (excuse the pun). Be that as it may be, this is what is coming and then some more things. Oh, I forgot. Remember a couple of days ago when I posted an article about how the Federal government was going to allow states to charge for the use of the interstates when they had never been allowed to before? Think maybe this is a coincidence? It is not, it was planned. They did not come up with this bill in two days, it takes longer than that, it takes a lot of thought to write a bill; but, if you introduce it to soon then the fact that we are all being played becomes obvious to any who bother looking and understand how these things are done and maybe has done them too.

The news report goes on to interview a person who bought a hybrid to save gas. They claim they already pay enough; but, it is obvious they pay little to maintain the roads because they have a hybrid. They pay less than people who do not have hybrids because they use less gas; but, in reality hybrids are heavier and take a heavier toll on the roads. That is just a fact. This is how you are being set up, most people do not own hybrids and will find it unfair that people who do, don't help maintain the roads they ride on. Heck, the average hybrid owner has more money than the average guy owning an average car, that will come up at some time as it must if we are to allow them to divide and conquer.

Lets get back to the article that I posted a couple of days ago about how it was now going to be legal for states to tax people for riding on the interstate. How could they possibly charge people for miles traveled if some of those miles were on the interstate? Answer is, they couldn't legally. See the pattern yet? I have some very smart readers, some very smart readers in particular and I know a lot about transportation as should be obvious. I can smell the future by looking at the infrastructure, the roads and inroads. Another poor pun. I like puns, they are the lowest form of humor and I always shoot for that.

Nobody complained, or very few, when buying a hybrid no longer got you a free pass on vanpool lanes. Nobody will complain when people who buy hybrids are "allowed" to voluntarily pay a per mile tax for using the roads. Once they make the law mandatory for all hybrids, nobody will complain or at least not enough. They want to see what percentage will voluntarily do it anyways and it will be more than you think, they picked the right crowd. They voluntarily bought hybrids and paid more to save the earth. They also tend to be more affluent.

Once the first two steps are complete, we will all be given the opportunity to pay our mileage tax or a gas tax, that will lead to more people buying hybrids. Finally, all travel taxes will be based on mileage each year and now lets think the infrastructure that would be needed to accomplish such a thing. You would have to be able to require every vehicle to have some sort of tracker and be able to record their movements. Fortunately, that infrastructure is already in place. Remember when I wrote about how just about all local roads are now under the Federal government as part of the national highways system, oh, and that was done in order to bring in universal wi-fi which conveniently allows the FCC to monitor all roads under existing law?

Maybe once again, I was just lucky in being able to tell you years ago how this was all going to develop. My ex did tell me that I had lost my once incredible mental abilities, her words, not mine. I still think she was wrong; but, sometimes I wish she was right. Problem is, even she wouldn't tell you that today. It is a voluntary program that allows people who own hybrids to help pay for the roads, who could be against that? How much money would you donate towards stopping this bill?

A Baloney Sandwich and a Story

I read a lie recently, I don't know what the truth is; but, I was lied to, we all were. Lets start with the story.

NBC News - Spy Plane Fries Air Traffic Control Computers, Shuts Down LAX. The air traffic control at LAX in Los Angeles went down and planes were forced to delay landings and take offs. It was blamed on a U2 jet. That is what the article says. The first thing in the article that caught my attention was the claim that Edwards Air Force Base is "30 miles" from the center of Los Angeles as that is wrong. Nope, Edwards is more like 80 miles away. Palmdale comes before Edwards and it is about 60. In case you are wondering, Palmdale is in the County of Los Angeles. For the moment, lets just say the writer was stupid and cannot count.

Now, lets talk about the plane, it is blamed on a U2. The plane is used by NASA, not the military or intelligence. It is a very old plane, impressive in it's day; but, quite a few generations old. It has no use in intelligence work anymore and has not for awhile. The original articles all tried to imply that it was doing spy work and had super sophisticated jamming stuff; but, that is nonsense. You see, super secret planes land at Edwards all the time. Even the space shuttle used to land there and you know what, they never shut down LAX. Anyone in Air Traffic would know this story was baloney and not even properly fried; but, when you need a story, you make up a story.

Some of my readers may think I am just guessing; but, they confirmed it. The FAA has now announced that the U2 messed up it's tracking software because of it's flight pattern. Huh? Wait, the plane was not on a secret mission and NASA filed a flight plan, same as it does everyday, same as Edwards does, everyday. I lived in that desert for half my life, I know that desert. I have visited Edwards and dated a woman who work at the Skunk Works in Palmdale. She was a lovely and sweet woman and I am sorry that we just saw things differently.

I could always tell when a secret flight was going up. It wasn't that hard. You see, the old timers that had worked there on the flights knew which days the flights were and would go out and park to watch them and plant a flag behind them. A great big American flag, the guys that worked on the super secret stuff and Apollo were proud of what they created even after they retired. I am not going to talk any more about security measures or lack there of. Suffice it to say that people know when special flights are going up or coming down most of the time.

Go back to the first paragraphs. LAX never gets shut down and hasn't gotten either further away or closer to either Edwards or Skunk Works, it is the same distance. LAX knows how to deal with traffic to Skunk Works and Edwards. This leaves us with two choices, even Edwards and LAX did not know in advance about this flight or the flight was of a higher clearance than the Space Shuttle, U2s, the original Stealths and every other secret plane with unusual flight patterns that this country has ever created. Read up on Skunk Works and Edwards.

Look, planes at Edwards have exceeded Mach 5 and may have done Mach 10. It you don't know what that means, it means that planes from Edwards have gone 10 times the speed of sound. The space shuttle which goes higher than any plane and used to land at Edwards didn't shut down LAX and planes going faster than anything else in history did not shut down LAX. That means that the story we have been told is a lie.

I don't know what flew into Edwards on that date; but, it wasn't a U2 that caused all the planes to be kept from flying. Maybe they didn't want people to see something. Heck, maybe it was Malaysia Flight 370, maybe it was the famous plane Aurora. I don't know; but, it wasn't some old U2 working for NASA.

Rigged Markets and Nobody Cares

Yahoo - Reuters - U.S. SEC chair to Congress: 'The markets are not rigged'. Beautiful, the head of the organization responsible for tracking Wall Street traders refuses to accept that they are breaking the law or look for financial crimes.

Yahoo - Wall Street Journal - Chuck Jaffe: The Market Is Rigged. So What?. Basically, the Wall Street Journal is arguing that high speed traders are stealing from everyone; but, it is only a small amount. The reality is that the market is rigged and they don't want to change.

Los Angeles Times - Immigrant tuition bill slated for a vote in Florida with GOP push
. The Republicans are pushing for legislation in Florida to provide some in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. Now, you might think they are looking out for Hispanics; but, the reality is that they are pushing for more immigration from India and China.

Fox News - Taking a Toll: Administration wants to let states charge on interstate highways
. The government is changing it's policy on states charging a toll for using the interstate highways. Well, if you recall, not long ago I pointed out that local streets are now being treated as part of the interstate highway system and it is illegal to charge for using streets as local governments don't actually own them; but, instead have an easement only. And where is all of this headed? Eventually you will pay a fee for every mile you drive each year.

Thank You Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

I could not be more impressed than I am by the writing of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar about the Donald Sterling situation. He said even better than I did what I was trying to express in my last post.

Time - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: Welcome to the Finger-Wagging Olympics

Aside from being one of the greatest players in history, heck, even I know who he is, he also achieved a degree in History from UCLA while leading in just about everything involving basketball. I just didn't know what a tremendous writer he was. This is a man who knows about racism; but, still understands that there are often bigger issues. To throw away all of the things we hold dear because of one issue is suicide as a nation and a people. He is also responsible for some the funniest lines in the movie "Airplane".

I don't like basketball, I am not a Muslim (Mr. Abdul-Jabbar is), I think Donald Sterling is a scum bag; but, he is an old fool scumbag and should have been kicked out of the NBA for being a scum bag and a slum lord, not for being an ignorant bigot. Mr. Abdul Jabbar nailed a really important issue that I did not; but, was at the heart of what I wrote, he just said it so much better. We take the moral high ground complaining about the government "spying" on us; but, destroy a mans life because of an illegal recording that was made in private. That is why I was outraged when the head of the NBA said that the conversation may have been private; but, it was public now.

I was asked to do something today. The person who asked me was under instruction to ask me the question. The person who had to ask me the question felt bad that they had to ask me as they knew that it would upset me. I was asked to do something that they knew would offend me. I have a moral, the moral is "do the right thing for the right reason". That is my belief and what I instruct the people who work for me to do. It may sound sappy; but, it is what I believe. Doing the right thing for the wrong reason and doing the wrong thing for the right both destroy your soul, they are sell outs and justifications for being selfish and corrupt. That is the challenge to our souls and ourselves and Mr. Abdul Jabbar knows that and could see the truth and the bigger issue.

Mr. Abdul Jabbar is never going to read this pitiful little blog' but, if he ever does I want to say something to him. Thank you. Not thank you for standing up and calling for reason; but, thank you for knowing reason and not being another media whore. Thank you for showing integrity, honesty and intelligence. Thank you for showing that we don't all have to be knee jerk, emotional morons seeking public acceptance.

A young kid, trying to make his life, trying to be the greatest basketball player ever, he also got a degree in History. My first degree is in History, you learn a lot about the world. This young man stood up and changed his name from Lewis Alcindor to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He faced a lot of hate for that. It was sort of okay to be black; but, a Muslim. It seemed so anti-American at the time to many fools. It is hard for people to remember the 60s and what sort of courage that took; but, he did it and risked a career. That is impressive to me.
