The Pimpernel had a few days off and went on a short trip. While I was gone I stayed up late, I even watched television. I watched all the hardcore news channels and the stock market channels. The channels that cater to the educated and well off spin more garbage and pander to their audience worse than reality shows. LOL.
In college I took advanced statistics, the only math I really enjoyed, it looked for answers when used properly. Math can help us understand answers or at least probabilities. I saw it twisted to lie about taxes and deductions. I saw experts lie using math, trying to justify why the wealthy, those who benefit the most from our infrastructure (which we all pay for) should pay less. The threat was that if we ended deductions for charity then people would stop giving. That was one of the jokes. Yet, they never brought up the fact that people can deduct for putting on a Broadway show or other such lunacies.
99.5 of the deductions only apply to the wealthy. Nobody bothered mentioning that. I think most people who earn (wages, actually earn and not inherit through a trust), would be okay with getting rid of deductions for putting on Broadway plays. I believe that people who earn over $250,000 would be happy with getting of deductions that are simply unfair.
I would be okay with getting rid of a deduction for charitable giving if we get rid of the others that only apply to the rich. A flat tax is find as long as we don't tax our own taxes. It makes no sense to tax welfare and only creates more paperwork.

More on the General
Lets start with the ex-CIA agent who says that this makes no sense. Any conversations with the General would have been in private.

Wired has this article - Now the CIA Is Investigating Petraeus. I like this article because it states how the CIA agents didn't like him for his "military" ways. Seeing as how he no longer works there, why is the CIA investigating him?

It looks to me like there is an ongoing shakeup of military personnel and that the intelligence agencies are the ones taking them out. Now, while I have bagged on the FBI in the past, the truth is that I admire many in the intelligence community. I have a friend that is retired from the FBI.
That sounds like I am defending myself from being a bigot. Back in the 70s people would claim they weren't bigots and had a black friend. It is not like that, I really like the guy and took him to Las Vegas when his wife passed away. It was his first time there.
While I believe our law enforcement and intelligence agencies have degraded over the past three decades, the military has really gone in the wrong direction. When I was in law school, I had a friend, he was ex-West Point. His father had been in one of the intelligence agencies. He left West Point because he was not a straight A student; but, he was darn close. A very smart man who became a Federal Prosecutor. One day he took me to dinner at a French restaurant that was owned by a retired French Foreign Legionnaire, great chicken. The Pimpernel has met many fascinating people and the ones in intelligence always seemed to take a liking to me, maybe because I am old school.
My point, if I have one. In order to get into West Point, you used to have to be the son of a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient or be recommended by a congressman or senator. West Point meant something. If I had wished I could have gone; but, I am glad that I never sought it. To be accepted to West Point was a high honor and to disgrace that honor was unthinkable. General Patreas (or betray us) was a graduate of West Point as was Ms. Broadwell. Seems strange to me that both of them would violate the code of honor.
Most people do not understand living old school. Most people do not understand death before dishonor. Please allow me to explain. It starts by believing in people, it starts by believing that we can be better. Once you get past that, you have to live it. Sexual immorality or thievery is beyond their ability to understand. You look down upon such things, white glove stuff. You would not trust someone who engaged in such activities.
I may have become a pacifist; but, I still believe in the whole honor thing. I am thinking that the good General was removed because the military should not control the intelligence agencies, that is a no no. The military is a blunt tool that you use when you have to. It lacks the elegance of the intelligence agencies, why kill a million when one or two will achieve the same goals?
Now lets talk about intelligence analysts, my little brothers and sisters. They are trained in understanding what the other guy is going to do before he knows what he is going to do. LOL. These are people who can never tell others about what they do, well, who you can talk to is limited. It is not so much about secrecy as confidentiality, a heavy burden. You cannot tell your spouse where you are going or what you are doing. When Intelligence Agents die, their own family is not told why.
I have hope for the world, I have hope that the best and the brightest still have integrity and are still able to effect the outcome of anything that is done wrong. I believe we are better than the worst of us. I believe we are capable of great kindness and lovr.

Something to watch and General David Petraeus
I know, I have been lax in my writing. I am going to be off for a few days and want to rest. I will be much better next week. In the meantime somethings for you to watch.

I considered writing about General David Petraeus. The whole thing is just ridiculous from the outside; but, there is much more about all of this that they are not telling. The guy was in charge of the CIA, don't you think he was being watched by other nations? Do you think he did not know that the FBI could find his little e-mail drop box, heck the CIA uses the same techniques. The technique is used by terrorists and the CIA breaks into their accounts.
So lets review. Some character makes a movie called Desert Warriors, after making the movie he changes the name to "The Innocence of Bin Laden", he shows the movie for one night in Los Angeles to the outrage of a Jewish gadfly. The gadfly raises a big stink at the City Council (there is a previous post on this that goes into detail). Two LAPD officers go to the showing and even talk to the Producer. The title of the movie is changed to "The Innocence of the Muslims", except it is not a movie. It is a fifteen minute piece of nonsense and makes fun of Mohammed. That is the first bit and it is stupid. Oh, I forgot and the producer is arrested for violating his parole for using the internet? Huh? And of course we never see a good picture of him and nobody knows where he is.
Second part, a U.S. Ambassador is killed in Libya supposedly by the Libyans; but, in fact he is loved by the Libyans and considered a hero. It just keeps getting better because it turns out that the Embassy had called for assistance from CIA operatives in the area and it is denied. Hmmm. This too, Hillary Clinton and Obama blame all of this on the movie; but, it later turns out that the attack was planned in advance of the movie supposedly making Muslims unhappy.
Third part. General David Petraeus is forced to resign because of an affair. The head of the CIA. He doesn't argue the point, he doesn't bother keeping his job. Another question, why was a military officer in charge of the CIA? The first three months he had the job he was still active military. He retired from the military and remained in charge of the CIA. An officer can get removed for having an affair; but, he was no longer in the military, he was a civilian.
Just some guesses here. General David Petraeus an active General was put in charge of the CIA a civilian intelligence agency. Why? That means for a few months, the CIA was under the military as the Generals oaths and requirements were still in effect. Was this a case of marital law? Does any of this make any sense, cause it does not to me.
Usually the media is pretty good about lying; but, not with this story. Either they want you to think there is more going on or they didn't get their story straight in advance and are winging it. Bill Clinton had an affair and didn't quit. The General was friends with the media. How come there were not a bunch articles talking about how we shouldn't force everyone that has had an affair to quite their job?
It also turns out that there is a video of the other woman, Ms. Broadwell, saying that the attack in Libya may have been because of a secret prison there. This all supposedly came up because of "threatening" emails that Broadwell supposedly sent to another woman who was not having an affair with Petraeus. Oh, and Broadwell also apparently had confidential documents in her possession. The person that Broadwell supposedly threatened is refusing to talk.
This story stinks of baloney from the beginning to the end. None of it rings true.

Now here is something that you probably did not know. The FBI would not have released the information regarding the General's affair. It is not a crime. There are rules to the game kids. I just had to think about it for a bit. The FBI is allowed to monitor many people for the security of the nation. There are limits on what things are actionable. Lets say you have a top secret clearance, if the FBI finds out that you are cheating on your spouse, they are NOT allowed to tell your spouse. It is against the law for them to reveal that information so long as it was not part of a crime, lets say sleeping with an enemy agent.
Here is something else funny. It has been reported that Ms. Broadwell had sought $80 million for brokering a deal in South Korea and that she had intended to move to Los Angeles and run for office. The same city that showed the original film, The Innocence of Bin Laden".
Lets get back to Broadwell, the other woman, for a moment. This is not some idiot, she has her Masters and worked with the FBI anti-terrorism unit. She has been married since 1996 and there is no indication that she is getting divorced. It does not appear that the general is getting divorced either, his wife has talked about how it has been hard on her husband and how she has barely seen him since the war began. Do you smell the coverup yet?
I am very proud to say that one of the people I mentored saw through all this garbage immediately, doesn't know the answer; but, can smell the garbage. My guess, the General was told it was time to go. They chose this as the excuse; but, the real question is what was the real reason. If he were truly guilty of giving away secret documents then he would be charged on treason. That is if they did not decide he needed a good heart attack or accident.
You do not put an active military officer in charge of a civilian intelligence agency. It is a conflict of interests. I have known people in these agencies, I know how they operate. The CIA would never allow the military to take over the civilian intelligence agencies and neither would the FBI. Let us hope that the military did not attempt to control the CIA, that would be bad for them and the Constitution allows the U.S. Marshall's to control military.
The United States Constitution creates the Unites States Marshalls. They are the only legal law enforcement agency in the country, they cannot be changed without the changing the constitution and that hasn't happened. Here is a good question, while still being a General and the head of the CIA, was he receiving two checks or just the one for being a general. LOL. I bet you he was just getting one, who he got it from tells you who he reported to, follow the money.
The question now becomes what the heck is going on in Washington and why. Why is all of this going on after the election? The military are a necessary evil, the brutes that you use when diplomacy has failed. Their job is to attack and kill whoever they are told. The intelligence agencies are different, they have a different role. They are the warriors of the old cold war and are very smart, they have contingency plans for everything and many experts. They are not about war, they are about understanding.
I gave a sermon last Saturday on sex and deceit. Sort of co-exists with this post. LOL. Wherever you find corruption, you find sexual immorality. Have a great Thanksgiving, hope yo enjoyed the post even if I don't have all the answers today.

Wired Magazine and Music
An article from Wired magazine on how passwords are not enough and how the only security in the future will be in having your phone and computer identify you by your actions and biometrics and possibly your DNA. Awhile back I read an article about how IBM was creating a way that a machine the size of a cigarette pack with a pencil type thing attached could lightly scratch you and identify you by your DNA. I wonder what sort of mark it might leave.
Wired - Kill the Password: Why a String of Characters Can’t Protect Us Anymore
Here is the three paragraphs that you really need to know from the article, they come at the end.
The other thing that’s clear about our future password system is which trade-off—convenience or privacy—we’ll need to make. It’s true that a multifactor system will involve some minor sacrifices in convenience as we jump through various hoops to access our accounts. But it will involve far more significant sacrifices in privacy. The security system will need to draw upon your location and habits, perhaps even your patterns of speech or your very DNA.
We need to make that trade-off, and eventually we will. The only way forward is real identity verification: to allow our movements and metrics to be tracked in all sorts of ways and to have those movements and metrics tied to our actual identity. We are not going to retreat from the cloud—to bring our photos and email back onto our hard drives. We live there now. So we need a system that makes use of what the cloud already knows: who we are and who we talk to, where we go and what we do there, what we own and what we look like, what we say and how we sound, and maybe even what we think.
That shift will involve significant investment and inconvenience, and it will likely make privacy advocates deeply wary. It sounds creepy. But the alternative is chaos and theft and yet more pleas from “friends” in London who have just been mugged. Times have changed. We’ve entrusted everything we have to a fundamentally broken system. The first step is to acknowledge that fact. The second is to fix it.

Only New Cars Allowed - With Chips
Here is a nice little news story for you.
Fox News - Paris mayor looks to ban old cars from city
It is all about limiting and monitoring movement. How many times do I have to say it? Older cars did not have gps chips in them, all of the newer ones do. Remember the old Cash for Clunkers car trade as part of the stimulus? Did you know or ever wonder why Russia had a program that was almost identical at the same time? The press called it Rubles for Wrecks. Make sure everyone has a newer car. Even if your car does not have a GPS display, it still has the traceable GPS chip that can be read and tracked.
Just in case you might think this is about the environment, it isn't. If it was about the environment then you would smog check and require catalytic converters. And lets face it, people that own very expensive older cars are going to be able to keep using their cars so long as they pay some sort of carbon tax.

Please Read This - The Future, No debt in exchange for a cashless society
Dearest readers, I have been trying to explain many things with this blog. One of the things I have discussed is money and the future of the economy. There is a woman named Ann Barnhardt, she was a commodities trader and closed her company because she believed the economy is going to collapse and she could not protect her clients in her opinion.
Mr. Barnhardt is a Christian, very anti Islamic and very conservative. She is also very knowledgeable about the economy. The woman is radical and I absolutely part ways with here on many things she says. I am still a pacifist and there just isn't any racial prejudice in me. I present these videos so that you can understand what she is saying about the economy. Me and her would part on social issues; but, her presentation on the economy is dead on and I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Let me try and explain. The system is corrupt and we all know that. The economic system was intentionally destroyed so that a few could benefit. Ms. Barnhardt is an absolutist capitalist, she is an absolutist Catholic and she is an absolutist Libertarian. I am none of those things. I believe we are supposed to be as close to an absolutist in our personal decisions; but, I believe we should not be the same in regards to how we respond to others about their personal choices. Those are between them and God.
The problem is that the mainstream media and out elected officials have lied to us about the state of the economy and seek to use tricks to fix it. Bernake, Paulson and Greenspan all lies to us, the banks lied to us, the media lied to us. The only people telling the truth are those who do not accept what we are being told, outliers. I also believe that she is being completely sincere, even though I disagree with her. This is where my problem comes in, sometimes I have to present information to my very dear readers, from people who I do not agree with. I do not agree with Mr. David Icke, I do not believe aliens from an alternate universe run this world; but, I do agree with much of the information he has put forth about HOW the world is run. Left, right, alternate, none of it matters to me, the source does not matter, the quality and accuracy of the information is what matters.
I really had to think about posting these, heck, it took a long time just to watch them all and decide if they were worth passing to my very dear readers. I have friends that are gay, Hispanic, black, poor, rich, you name it. I really felt uncomfortable with the things she said. She admires Ayn Rand and I detest the selfishness of Ayn Rand and you cannot really be a Christian and like Ayn Rand. This woman claims to be both which shows she does not understand Christianity and first and foremost I am a Christian. Yet, she is willing to die for her beliefs to help others and that is very Christian. Still, this is my blog and I say what I want, she has her own.
Next time I might find a leftist who has a good explanation of something and I will post them and give a similar explanation. My readers are free to decide what it all means for themselves; but, I believe this is worth everyone's time to watch and think and understand This woman understands how economies work, recognizes we are all being taken advantage of and explains it in a good manner; but, I have to admit, even I do not understand 100% of what she is saying. Mr. Barnhardt is a Christian, very anti Islamic and very conservative. She is also very knowledgeable about the economy. The woman is radical and I absolutely part ways with here on many things she says. I am still a pacifist and there just isn't any racial prejudice in me. I present these videos so that you can understand what she is saying about the economy. Me and her would part on social issues; but, her presentation on the economy is dead on and I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water.
Let me try and explain. The system is corrupt and we all know that. The economic system was intentionally destroyed so that a few could benefit. Ms. Barnhardt is an absolutist capitalist, she is an absolutist Catholic and she is an absolutist Libertarian. I am none of those things. I believe we are supposed to be as close to an absolutist in our personal decisions; but, I believe we should not be the same in regards to how we respond to others about their personal choices. Those are between them and God.
The problem is that the mainstream media and out elected officials have lied to us about the state of the economy and seek to use tricks to fix it. Bernake, Paulson and Greenspan all lies to us, the banks lied to us, the media lied to us. The only people telling the truth are those who do not accept what we are being told, outliers. The Cover-up in England
Yesterday I was reading the news from England, I bookmarked the pages so I could write about it later. It was going to be a long post and I had a lot to research before writing it. It was going to be on how situations and the media are used to muddy the waters and keep people from going to justice if they are rich enough and powerful enough. Today they proven me write in the manner I expected.
The BBC is government owned television and radio. It is very near and dear to the English people. One of its most popular celebrities was a man named Jimmy Saville (I have seen it spelled with both one and two ls. Mr. Saville had a show called "Jim'll fix it" where he fulfilled kids wishes in some manner. I wrote about him recenlty; but, will repeat things to make a point about the media.
Mr. Saville died and over 300 allegations of child molestation were made about him. In addition, things he wrote and said took on a new meaning and many people who knew came forward saying that it was commonly known that Mr. Saville was a pedophile. It also turns out that he had complete access to homes that cared for children and even a room at a couple of them and the keys to the buildings. Some of the people who allege that he molested them were from those places.
Mr. Saville was good friends with the royal family and the powerful in England. He was even given a title, he was made Sir Jimmy Saville. A group at the BBC made a documentary about Mr. Savile in which they went into how Mr. Savile was child molester. At the last minute the documentary was pulled, it would not be shown; however the BBC did broadcast a show honoring him.
It came out that the documentary had been pulled and the allegations came out. The media immediately tried to steer the conversation to the issue of what the BBC did and away from the people that Mr. Savile supplied children to. But, it wasn't working and people were investigating what Savile did. Another televsion station aired their own documentary on Mr. Savile's pedophilia.
It didn't take long to get more damning statements against Mr. Savile. All the stuff about the group that he had improper access to, the fact that he had been investigated for such things back in the 90s. Those cases just sort of went away and he was allowed to continue. Mr. Savile bragged that he was untouchable and could do whatever he wanted.
Now Mr. Savile even organized parties for the Royal Family. It also came out that others were involved and that some were politicians. Oddly enough this was not the direction the media wished to go. The British then arrested a couple of old celebrities, one was a known pedophile and the other went on television professing his innocence and saying how he had never even been in Mr. Savile's dressing room. He explained how the whole thing was killing him. Both were released and they were the only people arrested, no politicians.
Now in England they do not name names while a case is being investigated, they have a different set of legal rules. There was however a man that came forward and said that one of his molesters was high up in Thatcher administration. When that happened people started looking a little deeper at their politicians, judges, police and the whole system. Over the years their had been a number of scandals involving pedophilia at certain state run bording facilities, the places where they kept troubled and in need youths.
The investigation kept heading back to who the people were that Mr. Savile was supplying children to. It was pointed out that although he had not worked in quite a while, he had lots of money and houses. Anyways, this man that had been molested and said that it was a high up person in the Thatcher administration got people looking to determine who it was he was talking about. Neither the BBC nor the boy ever publicly said who it was and neither did the police.
This when the media stepped into high gear to get people to believe that nobody in the government was involved. The British Primer Minister went on television and said that they were doing all they could, they were conducting multiple investigations all at the same time. They had investigations on all these group homes, on the BBC and well, they were going to investigate just about anything they could. Basically focus on everything, spread their investigators too thin and at the same time he started to imply that the whole things could turn into a witch hunt and he didn't want that. NO, he wanted it to appear to be a witch hunt because then nobody would believe anything that came out.
While on the show, the interviewer said that he had spent 3 minutes on the internet and had a list of names of suspected pedophiles in the government and handed it to the Prime Minister on air. Again, the media jumped on the meaningless and tried to make the story of the day about how this interviewer had possibly violated the law if the note had been seen by the television viewers (again you can get in a lot of trouble in England naming names prior to the arrest). It was a beautiful piece of theater.
The other point the Prime Minister was trying to make was that he didn't want the investigation into the politicians to be an attack on gays. I guess I should discuss how I came across this all. There is a man named David Icke, he claims that alien reptilians rule this earth. He also made a lot of predictions about how things were run that turned out to be correct. 20 years ago, Mr. Icke who had been a broadcaster for the BBC had said that both Mr. Heath (famous politician) and Mr. Savile were pedophiles.
There are a number of websites that list alternative news that I read, I just don't link to them, I will independently find the same information from more reliable and accepted sources. When this all broke Mr. Icke began reminding people of what he said in the past. At the same time others were continuing to come forth and mentioning politicians. This video hit me in the head yesterday.

The way to kill a story is to sensationalize the parts of it that you don't care about and keep the focus away from the real issues. In this case the real issues are who was Mr. Savile supply children to and which politicians used these children.
Back to the interview with the Prime Minister. He makes a big deal about saying that the investigation should not be some anti-homosexual thing; but, it never was. Mr. Savile liked little girls and the issue should have remained focused on pedophilia regardless if the people were straight or not. It was another attempt at misleading people and it wasn't enough.
Back to the man who reported how he had been molested by the high ranking person in the Thatcher government. People were wondering; but, nobody was saying and then Lord McAlpine a former high ranking official came out and said that it wasn't him and that he would take legal action against those who accused him. Problem is, neither the BBC or the witness ever publicly accused him of anything. The man who was talking in fact said that it was not Lord McAlpine publicly.
How convenient that someone who has not been accused tries to make it look like he has. Makes it all look kind of funny to those who don't read the whole articles. What gets interesting is how this is all portrayed in the media. Articles now say that the reports of politicians being pedophiles is false; they say that the mans allegations were false; but, he did not allege and the BBC did not report that it was Lord Alpine, the allegations of a high ranking politician being involved have yet to be fully investigated and they are not of Lord McAlpine as far as we know,
The media in England is actively engaged in attempting to confuse the issues and apparently protect some important people. In order to further create smoke, the head of the BBC resigns and apologizes for allowing these false accusations to be broadcast. Huh? They were not.
Well, when I saw that the head of the BBC had resigned and that the media was making all attempts to misstate what had occurred, I was not surprised at all. I kind of expected it and was going to say so yesterday; but, I never finished the post. I am going to post a link to the article on Mr. Icke's site from today. He sees it all as a sham also.

What can we expect next, I suggest unexplained deaths with at least one being of an ex-politician who commits suicide. Perhaps they will confirm that is the person who abused the witness. It all depends on how the republic responds to the non-sense they are being told now.
What will be forgotten is that Mr. Savile supplied numerous people with children to abuse. That is how these things always go when the rich and powerful are accused of being involved with pedophile rings.
Hopefully the British public will not lose their focus and will insist upon fully investigating the claims from the Savile case. That is where the proof lies and it will lead back to those in power.

The Newspaper basically states that you have two choices, filter the internet and require adults to opt in to view porn or have your kids taught about porn. What do you think those lessons will be like. I have a guess. You cannot show the kids porn so you show nudes and explain why they are not pornography. Old paintings, nude statues, provocative advertising and pictures. Take them right to the line of what is not considered pornography.

Well, once I finished the last update there were some interesting new developments aimed at directing the course of the discussion away from the people Mr. Savile provided children to. A 70 year old man has just been arrested in connection with the case. Here is your fall guy. There is an old saying in chess, when in doubt, kick a pawn. It means that you give unimportant to protect the more important. The other story being pushed today is about a friend of Mr. Savile's who is devastated by Mr. Savile's pedophilia and he telling how Mr. Savile had introduced him to one of the most famous serial killers in English history.

It turns out that the 75 year old man they arrested was one of the people on the ITV documentary who said that he found Mr. Savile in bed with a girl about 12 to 14. That sounds about right, arrest the witnesses who helped expose Mr. Savile.

Scary Xbox technology coming the internet
So the Pimpernel has been talking about how you will need to be biometrically identified to use the internet in the future and you may think this is decades rather than months away, well, guess again.

It can also identify the people in the room. Not only that; but, it will know the age of the people in the room and keep out age inappropriate content, no porn for your kids.

Restricting Your Movement
What we are seeing on an international level is the restriction of your ability to move about freely. It began with border patrols and then passports were created. Passports were not actually required for traveling from country to country until after World War I. The primary purpose of the passport was only to prove the country of citizenship and allow the person to return to their own country, it was not needed to leave your country. Why should I need permission to leave my country if another country will allow me in. Up until 911, Americans could travel to both Mexico and Canada without a passport.
Now here is where we get into what is really going on. After 911, Mexico did not require a passport for US citizens to go there, the United States did. If the problem is terrorists coming into the United States then why should I need a passport to leave if the other country will let me in?
Okay, lets look at other travel restrictions. In order to drive a car you need to have a drivers license. In the United States we tend to believe that drivers licenses were intended to prove that you had taken a test and knew how to drive; but, the reality is that up until 1977 you could buy a car and drive on the roads of Belgium with no drivers license. It was not until 1913 that any state of the union required a drivers license of all people who drove within the state and years later before all the other states required it. It has now become our primary form of identification.
The people in many countries hate the idea of having to have a national identification as it was used by the Nazis and the Communists, you needed permission to move about in your own country and people did not like it. Your drivers license and Social Security card served the same purpose and both were sold on the idea that neither was required to travel or for use as identification and both became exactly that.
You cannot take a boat, plane or car to another country without having a passport and a drivers license today. Lets fast forward. The TSA is now conducting check ins at train stations in the United States. Why should I need to prove who I am to take a train within the United States. Oh, in Sweden to take a bus you must use electronic currency and it identifies you. LOL.
You can take your boat and sail to another country; but, the United Nations is about to pass the Law Of the Sea Treaty (yes we are truly lost). What do you want to bet that it will require a form of identification is required to just sail in the international waters which no man has a right to control?
So our right to travel is restricted by plane, boat and train. It is restricted by car. Well, maybe I can use horses. Sorry, those are chipped and the wild horses are being killed, this has been going on against the law by the government for about 10 years.
My question is then, by what manner of transportation am I allowed to move about freely? I guess by bicycle in most places and by foot. Prior to the 1900s most people in history had never been further than 20 or so miles from their home in their life.

The local transit authority for Maryland is going to begin not only filming inside the buses; but, it will also be recording all of your conversations and storing them electronically. Here is what their defense is according to the article (the next two paragraphs are taken directly from the linked article.
"But one of the bills' sponsors, Del. Melvin Stukes, an MTA customer service investigator, said state officials have been "gun-shy" in dealing with the ACLU and unions. The intent of the legislation, he said, was to eliminate bad language that often sparks violence.
"This is not your bathroom. This is not your bedroom. Buses are public spaces and people are elbow to elbow," Stukes said. "I'm not trying to punish people. I'm just trying to clean up problems I hear about every day so that people realize that MTA is trying to provide a more congenial, more cordial ride."
I guess just want us to talk nicely. That is the dumbest thing I have even heard. There is no law against cussing on a bus, cussing itself is not illegal. They do not claim that they will arrest people for using profanity so why do they need to record the conversations?
I do hope my wonderful and intelligent readers see where this is going. Your travel will not be restricted just as long as we know who you are and where you are going and eventually why; but, we can guess that using the internet. You might ask why restricting travel is so important, it is fairly simple it is to control communications that do not go over the internet or cell phones, those are already claimed to be unprotected by the courts, no right to privacy with either.
While there are those who might think the Pimpernel is just some slob, the fact is that I am a recognized expert on the Constitution. Ask your attorney how many American Jurisprudence Awards they have, I have two and one is in Constitutional Law. People who know me personally read this blog and are more than welcome to see it; but, they know. Now lets talk about cell phones.
When radio first came out, it was determined that there was only so much band with that existed and therefore any company wishing to broadcast radio had to do so in a proper manner, they sort of had to fulfill a public benefit because there was a limitation on how many could broadcast. That made sense and the court cases gave the government the right to regulate the airwaves. Times change and now we have cell phones, yet, the same old court cases were used to say that the government has the right to listen into your private conversations because they have the right to monitor the airwaves; but, that is to make a joke of the reasons behind the original cases. The logic was twisted.
The government was not allowed to tap your phone, to record or listen to your private calls because they could not be heard by others, they were not public broadcasts that could be heard by anyone with a radio. It was presumed that the operators were not listening in and the rules prohibited them from doing so, though some did. Cell phones can be listened to by anyone with the proper equipment and that was used as one of the excuses for allowing the government to tap all cell phone conversations; but, the joke is that I am less concerned about some random person attempting to listen to ever cell phone conversation than the government doing the same. The government has taken the prior court decisions and completely ignored the logic behind them to get to the result they want.
I want you to think about this. The laws were put in place to protect the unwitting public from seeing or hearing obscenity without knowing what they might be exposed to. If a parent was just checking out different radio stations they didn't want their child to hear things that were improper. If something were not publicly broadcast with the technology of the time, the telephone, then it was protected and nobody was authorized to listen in. This same logic and court rulings apply to e-mails, they are unprotected because someone with a lot of time could read them and the solution is that the government can read them all. We made the rules to protect your privacy and those same rules are now used to say you have none, that is not good logic.
So, the government does not trust it's own citizens. They want to know everything that you say and do. The restriction travel allows them this ability because you are only going to walk so far.

Your Face is Your Passport, Now What Else Can We Use it For?
Everyday there is something new in the news about biometrics and it all keeps heading in the same direction. Here is where we are going, in the future your ability to travel will require that you have been biometrically, positively identified and authorized. No fly lists are already in effect. I personally am on a watch list (not a no fly list as far as I know). Yet, how much concern does the average person have over the fact that we have these lists, they will not tell you are on one and there is nothing you can do to get removed from them.

There are many people who are afraid that the government wants to put a chip in us, an RFID chip to be precise. The same chip that is in your cell phone, your car, your dog and your passport. The idea biometrics is therefore much more pleasant; but, the effect is exactly the same, you can be monitored and prevented from traveling.
I will tell a story that I wrote about once before. I was going to Hawaii a number of years ago right after the shoe bomber. As we were going through security the TSA agent asked me if I wanted to take off my shoes. I asked them if it was required and they told me it was not, so, I said I would prefer to keep them on. I was taken out of line and told that I had to take my shoes off and checked out further. I asked what type of game they were playing and asked why they hadn't just told me it was required if it was. The answer was as stupid as possible, I was told it wasn't required but that if someone didn't then they were given additional checks which included removing their shoes. It was funny how the other people all got anxious as I questioned these people.
Biometrics and facial recognition are only a carrot if you have a stick and the stick is the RFID chip. Fear and hatred of the chip convince people to accept the same result by means of another technology.

An Interesting Comment about Me
I was talking to someone recently about how I had gone on a date with a woman who knew me from my writings; but, not from this blog. The lady in question had said on our date that I wasn't anything like she expected. She also stated that she had never met anyone quite like me. I was under the impression that she was traveling the country to check on investments that she had made for very rich people.
After having visited with me, she flew north and met with some common friends. I received no reports of her having anything other than good words to say about me; however, I know of at least one person that did not feel comfortable with her. As it was, it was just a nice dinner date with some pleasant conversation and very good food.
I have often wondered what she meant when she said that I wasn't what she expected. I mean I write exactly what I mean, I don't have opinions that are any different in personal contacts than I do with what I write. So, this person I was talking to, not the lady I went on the date with, read my blog and made the comment that my writing seems slightly emotionless; whereas, in person it is clear that I am passionate about things. She stated that my writing was fairly direct, succinct and perhaps a little colder than I am in person. I leave it for my readers to decide; but, it did intrigue me.
I try and make this blog informational most of the time. I do not use cuss words on this blog and am careful about what content I allow on it. The purpose of the blog has changed since I began it and it seemed to take on a new life. Under this iteration of the blog I have focused more on news and information that my readers might not have had time to read or may have missed completely. I attempt to present things for what they are in an objective manner while at the same time looking behind the story for deeper meaning.
One of the problems I have with current politics is how the issues are ignored and the media merely seeks to pander to emotions. I attempt to avoid doing that with my readers, that does not mean that I don't have feelings about things; but, the issues are what should drive our decisions and all decisions should involve love, they should include consideration for people and how they will be effected.

Windows 8 and what it leads you to
I was reading "Wired" and came across an article on The 10 Best Features in Windows 8. As I read through the features I came across some things that may tell us where the programs are all headed and this caught my attention.
"Settings Sync
No matter what PC, tablet or notebook you use, you’ll be able to sync your personal settings. Thanks to the Microsoft account and Windows 8’s cloud-friendly platform, your personalizations can travel with you. The “Sync your settings” option within your PC settings lets you sync personalizations (background, colors, lock screen and account picture), passwords, language preferences, app settings, browser settings, and more. It makes using a new device much easier and makes borrowing a friend’s tablet or notebook a more personal experience."
So why did this stick out. Well, if you go back and read my posts on electronic currency, I said it would have to be available to everyone. What happens when your cell phone or computer breaks, you would still need access to your cash. By designing Windows 8 around the cloud, you could access your account, passwords and everything else so long as it was held on someone else's servers (the cloud).
Now I know that I also said that the computers and phones will recognize you by your biometrics and watch you to see what you are thinking. Here is another article for your amusement. There was a time when the internet was called the World Wide Web, that is why it says www before a domain name. People don't seem to call it that much anymore. It was a very good name because in the end, the internet is just that a worldwide web, it connects to all the information in the world including your personal information.
So, with all that information out there and all this "cyber-bullying" going on, how will the government protect you? I believe the personalization will include what and who you are allowed to interact with. It will begin with protecting children and women from stalkers. Because you will log on using biometrics, those setting will follow you no matter whose device you use, even on a borrowed one.
I know a nice couple in the San Diego area, I even had lunch with them while attending a seminar. I have reason to believe they still read this little blog. When I met them about 3 or 4 years ago, we had a mutual acquaintance that moved to Australia. I had told this mutual acquaintance and others that in the future the internet would become more restrictive and since then we have seen that in Australia. What we do not want to believe today becomes what we demand tomorrow.
Did you know that Wired magazine reported that the "U.N. Report Declares Internet Access a Human Right"? They also said that disconnecting people from it is a violation of International Law. Wait a second, the "internet" is owned by the US government, why is it a requirement that all nations be allowed to use it at all?
In December, in Dubai, there will be a meeting to discuss International control over rules for the internet. Fox News - One month until they regulate the Internet. Don't expect much, it will be claimed that they could not come to major agreement; but, it is not intended to, it is merely putting the infrastructure in place for future controls.
I find it amusing that the meeting is being held in Dubai. I have always seen Dubai as the modern day Babylon where all the merchants of the world meet.
