Quick post on GPS

This article in the LA Times talks about the $8 billion upgrade that is being given to GPS. What is really interesting is that the article states that GPS worldwide relies on the satellites that America put up. Worldwide.

I never knew we were responsible for the worlds GPS. That makes absolutely no sense. Why would we allow private people to use our GPS military system and not charge them? I don't get it. Well, maybe I do. Heck we let the world use the military backbone that is the internet.

GPS allows our government to know where everything and everyone is. How nice. Does this really not bother anyone other than me? It doesn't concern enough people because they don't consider how things can be used against them. Many don't even care as long as they get their cookie.
