Well Taken Care Of

I am continuing to fight with my stomach; but, have finally kept down some soup. I am well taken care of and people in my house actually make me food and help. I don't want the readers thinking I am not taken care of.

I wish I could sleep; but, I cannot. I am bone exhausted and can't sleep. I can't think either so don't expect any words of wisdom, I am just trying to wind down by writing. Not a thought in my head.

WPA

I have mentioned this before. I believe we are going to see a new Works Progress Administration. We may need it; but, the issue is how it is designed. The WPA's focus is on infrastructure. It should create regional infrastructure centers and keep people local, as much as possible.

If we are going to do it, we need to do it soon. It will require a re-thinking of many things. If we care about the millions of unemployed then we will look to create a system of dignity.

Salvation versus Sin

I am feeling a little better and actually ate some soup. I should be going to bed but cannot yet. After being sick I think I am just happy to have it mostly over.

I read this article, it is about some church that was protesting a strip club. I disagree with the Pastor, you cannot shame people into salvation. His focus should salvation and not sin. Salvation starts in the heart, not in the actions.

I am constantly amazed at the degradation I see in the church. I cannot even begin to imagine watching religious television. Mega-churches offend me and what is taught in most churches anymore has little to do with Christianity. I am amazed at how many people call themselves "Christians" and haven't read the bible. I know atheists that know more about the bible.

I am still so don't expect much more. I am surprised I got this post out at all. Be well.

I have been a little under the weather, nothing big. Taking lots of water and resting. Hopefully I will be myself tomorrow. I haven't stayed up on the news. Be well.

I have talked about this before. They are attempting to make citizenship a privilege that you have earn. Don't fall for it.

A Pension Question

Four years ago CalPers (the pension fund for state government employees) discovered that the City Manager of Bell had increased his salary 47%, this meant that the pension would spike. According the this report, they did nothing. Nobody can explain why. Hmmmmm.

Now, a smart reporter would go back and look at what the City of Bell did for the state or Calpers. Did they help one of the companies funded by government pensions?
