After Armageddon

I like to point out, as I have previously posted, that Armageddon is a place, not the end of the world. In fact, it says that God stops the battle at Armageddon and that if he did not then everyone would be dead. So far so good. But something has always intrigued me, what happens afterward.

Here is the part that intrigues me. The anti-christ and his followers are stopped and Satan is thrown in the abyss for a thousand years. During that time it says Jesus and those who did not take the mark rule on earth for a thousand years. It then says that Satan is released for a short time. Why? What happens during those thousand years with Jesus ruling on earth?

Firstly, what is it like while he is ruling on earth, I assume that we would continue having stuff to do. Babies would be born, people would pass on. Here is my guess. Remember Satan accuses us day and night before God; but, it also says he has control of this earth. Consider how he accused Job and tested him. Satan said Job was only faithful because he had it easy so Satan was allowed to take everything away from Job and Job was able to prove himself.

What if the 1,000 years was our opportunity to prove what we would be when not continually tempted, an unrigged game. Most likely some would still fail to be their better selves; but, they would not be able to say that they were unfairly tempted. The question still remains, why release Satan again? Perhaps for the same reason, to see if he learned his lesson.

What is fascinating is that there is so much that the bible does not go into. In truth, it doesn't need to; but, it does leave some interesting questions. Sorry, I walked away, a little bout of bronchitis. I lost my choo choo and don't where I was going with this post.
