How Strange Can the World Be?

Someone wrote an article questioning our ability to handle meeting aliens. It is a valid question that he raises and one that I had raised in a previous post. A separate article discusses Biocentrism. This is the theory that we are part of the evolutionary equation because we are sentient. I have also posted my thoughts on this matter although it had no name or proponents at the time. Heck, the title of my blog sums it up, you matter.

The problem I have with both of the articles, and I do think you should read them, has to do with their perspective that you are not unique or special. You are, you matter, every sentient being is unique and matters. Without sentience there is no truth, the truth truly is inside you. We may lie to ourselves about many things; but, only inside us can we find the real truth.

There are those who believe that life is nothing but a dream or a hologram (as scientists are increasingly believing). Life is neither, it is very real even if objects are not as they appear, that is not life. Life is what goes on inside our minds and our souls. Your life is your experience, that is pretty real.
