When people no longer need to be controlled then people will no longer exist.

Ever since the Industrial Revolution, there are those that have said the world is overpopulated, yet, here it is. People do not need control, they need examples and assistance. Many societies have existed without the type of control society seems to require anymore.
Rousseau spoke about the social contract, a simple agreement that we don't take advantage of one another. Breaking our agreements is supposed to have consequences. Stealing pensions and breaking our agreements with employees should have consequences too.
The evidence of people needing control is all around us every day. From the traffic lights to the sidewalks to the doors that say in and out. Even sheep have free will but without control they will Fall off a cliff, starve themselves, and even become cannibalistic. What do we say when someone commits a crime and we imprison them. (that they're out of control)
