The Vatican is willing to believe in aliens. You will notice in the article that the vatican also hosted a conference on evolution and did not allow creationists to attend.

Stephan Hawking says he believes aliens exist. If you do not know who he is, search for him. He is the most famous scientist alive.

Astronaut says aliens exist. The one who was on the moon the longest.

Just so you understand, I am not saying that I believe in aliens. I am providing links to things that were printed, I will give my take on it in a second.

So, why so much chatter about aliens and life on other planets all of a sudden? Not discussion from fringe groups, were talking about scientists.

According to Dr. Carol Rosin, she was told by Wernher von Braun that the illuminati planned to use a false alien hoax to bring in a world government. I have to take a moment here. Wernher Von Braun was a former SS Nazi and he along with Satanist Jack Parsons are the two people most responsible for heading our space program. Does anyone else find this just a bit creepy? Dr. Rosin is part of the Disclosure project, there are youtube videos you can watch.

On a side note. You have to watch this video where Bill Gates calls for using health care and vaccines to decrease the population by 10 to 15%. Vaccines and depopulation. He is attending the Bilderberg meeting to repeat such information according to the Spanish press. His idea is not to use vaccination to kill but to sterilize. Probably pay people to take the vaccine as was recommended in Australia by one politician.

Australia. Lets talk about them for a moment. Firstly, they are going to begin requiring anyone who sells, leases or rents a home to prove it's energy efficiency. In the same article, they talk about "smart grid" technology. I have mentioned that here before in regards to Google taking over the Department of Water and Power.

I seem to have gotten off track. That happens with me, especially on weekends when I just want to peek at weird news. I like this article from Australia, it says that our "Ascension" may have begun.

The "ascension" is described as our vibrational knowledge changing. If you don't know what that means, it is a theory that says that we are spiritual beings having a material experience and that we are going to evolve and be aware of the universe when our perception of higher wave lengths occurs during the coming years. This belief is very popular at present and was originally discussed by the occultist, Madame Blavatsky. I am not a proponent, I believe a universal deception is more likely than an awakening.

Aliens, that was what I was writing about. Are aliens real? Maybe, probably. Someone once said, if there are no aliens than we have quite a lot of wasted space. Have they come here? Maybe; but, it is unlikely. If they were so advanced technically, why bother coming in person? It takes a lot of energy and time, it would be easier to send a hologram via light waves. It would also allow one to reach more places. Still, if I saw such a hologram claiming to be alien, I would doubt it's authenticity.

Australia and aliens and the Queen. Bet you didn't think those three things were connected. An Australian news source reported how the Queen's astronomer recently said that aliens might be among us but that we couldn't recognize them. He didn't bother saying how they could have got here or why.

So here is my question. If you woke up tomorrow, turned on the television and saw the president at the white house saying that aliens were here, or coming here, how would you feel, what would you think? Reagan used to say that he thought we would all come together if faced with an alien threat. Would we, would that be a good reason? If you thought it was a good reason, would you fake an alien presence to get people to ignore their differences and stop war? If people are willing to give up their rights in order to be safe from terrorists, what rights would they give up to be protected from aliens as Stephen Hawking says we would be.

If they told you that alien abductions were real and they were putting cameras in your house to protect you from being abducted, would you let them? Would you let them microchip you so that they could find you and know if you were taken? Hey, if the scientists can ask these type of questions, why can't a blogger? I forgot, because I don't have a license to write.

If aliens came here, would they be here illegally? Would we need better border defenses? Consider the movie District 9 or the movie "Alien Nation".

In a somewhat related news story, Gene Roddenberry's "Questor Tapes" is about to be remade into a new television series. The link is to Wikipedia which summarizes the original pilot and gives the current status of the new project. Questor is a android created by a lineage of androids put here to protect mankind in secret. These androids were left her by the Masters. That sounds somewhat familiar. Another Roddenberry pilot was Assignment Earth. That show was about the decendent of a human who had been abducted by aliens and taught to help us not kill ourselves. His assistant is a black cat named Isis.

Lets talk about brainwashing. Brainwashing is the structured coercion of one person to accept other's beliefs as their own. To give up their free will to believe as they wish. In order to brainwash someone, it is required that you first strip them of their existing beliefs. This is done by breaking down the person. Destroying their sense of privacy, their trust in others and in their belief of how the world operates. After that the "new truth" is methodically taught. You don't have to break someone down if they don't believe in anything to begin with.

There is an old saying, "If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything". Now, lets get to some more interesting questions. If aliens came here with advanced technology that would free humanity from the drudgery of work and provide for all our needs, would you accept the technology? Most people would say yes.

In college I studied Political Science. I had a strong interest in Polynesia. One of my professors thought I should make it my expertise as it would guarantee me a job teaching. Find a niche, so to speak. He understood the business of teaching and consulted with Russia and Ireland's governments. My theory was that the worst thing that happened to the Polynesians was our attempting to make their life easier.

Island cultures are very fragile because fresh water and food are limited. After World War II, the United States took responsibility for a number of islands and their people. We saw them living in thatched rood huts and sent them corrogated steal to keep them dry and provide better homes. The polynesians then stopped knowing how to build their own houses and because of the things we provided them (food, medicines...) they lost many of their traditional skills and had nothing to do. It led to a big increase in alcoholism in the islands.

If we had all of our wants easily provided and no reason to work, what would we become? Heck, video games and television alone have made us fat and lazy and incapable of advanced thinking, instead we are preoccupied with leisure and entertainment. Like mice on cocaine, the real pleasure principle. We don't all seek to grow, we mostly seek to avoid pain and maximize pleasure. Pleasure becomes our God and pain our Satan.

The heaven most seek is pure pleasure, the hell we fear is pure pain. Neither is accurate. The heaven we seek should be growth and the hell we should fear is stagnation. Pure pleasure leads to stagnation and pure pain to a willingness to do anything to avoid it, even things we know are bad. We don't want to believe that, we want to believe if we won the lottery our lives would be great because we could get whatever pleased us.

As I said earlier, I had dinner with a friend. He reads my blog every morning, or so he said. I told him I would post something for him, this is it. He mentioned how he appreciated my writing, thank you. Not hard to believe because prior to the blog he had only read my business writings which are not quite as amusing as the blog is. The blog, I hope the readers know, is much more playful and a hobby than work.

For the past decade I have had people approach me about writing a couple of books on very dull subjects, very dull. I was asked to write one book, by a very experienced CPA, about accounting and it's political consequences and the appropriate use of overheads to provide fairness. Sounds pretty exciting to an accountant, I am not an accountant and I don't think most people would be interested if they were not. The other book I have been asked to write was on public easements, the law, the meaning and their impact. I bet it would sell millions. Both have value; but, I just haven't felt like writing them. I prefer my blog where I can talk about a million things and I don't have to spend a couple of hundred hours of research.

Anyway, my friend was accustomed to reading things I wrote about such topics and I am glad he gets to see my more informal and playful writings. This is not to say that I won't write the books I have been asked to; but, I wouldn't bet on it. I had another friend, he was the world's foremost expert on grading (preparing soil for construction and drainage). He was asked by the prior expert to write a book about it, just before the prior experts death. He was going to do it but got brain cancer at the same time my dad was dying of cancer. He never got to write the book and died.

If I get a year off of work, I will write at least one of the boring books; but, only if I can continue writing nonsense on the web. I play poker, tournament poker, won a couple. My first live tournament was at Binion's, about a thousand people and I made it half way as a chip leader, I went out on a bad beat, it happens. A professional who I had taken out saw me after and asked how I did. I told him about the bad beat. I told him that I still had a great time and felt I did well. He said for him it was just a job and he would prefer to go out fast if he did not make money. It was a job not a joy. I don't want writing to be a job, I prefer having the joy of it.

So, in the end, what was the point of this post? Who said it needed a point? If the reader wishes, they can figure out the point, plenty of clues and no answer. I will not provide one, my friend who I went to dinner with will understand. What the other readers are missing is the context of what he and I discussed which is the key to understanding what I wrote. It is not about aliens, Bill Gates, Blavatsky or me. I had dinner with a friend tonight. After dinner we got some coffee. He mentioned my blog and some posts he found interesting. I promised to post something tonight, this is not it. When I got home I checked a couple of websites, one led me to this posting by the House of Commons, it is on their own website. The website of the English government. Suckers and phones and freedom

People are so selfish, they always miss the real issue. People were excited that the I-Phone can now use skype, that means you don't have to pay for the call, it uses the internet rather than your phone carrier. This is just days after AT&T announced they were going to limit data plans for the I-Phone.

Now just in case you don't get it, skype (free phone calls) uses the data plan not the cell plan. If you use skype you use up time in the data plan. I do hope you understand. You might assume that AT&T is charging more for the data plan because they want the cell phone charges. Assume that if it pleases you.

On the other hand, the federal government is making universal wi-fi a priority. Once completed you can access the net using your cell phone for free. Will you pay AT&T if you can get the same service for free? I doubt it.

Of God and Consciousness

I read a lot of articles, I mean a lot. I don't watch television and spend most of my down time either working on stuff around the house, visiting family and friends or reading news and other articles. I read a lot of news, op-eds and conceptual articles. I attempt to watch the trends in the news, it is easier when you read news sources from across the world.

Current trends that I am watching include restrictions on travel, the stock market, transportation accidents, animal anomalies (the grasshoppers of the west in particular), stupid terrorists (the underwear and shoe bombers for instance), 2012 and the "awakening", secret societies, closed door meeting of public officials (Bilderberg is coming up), articles related to illegal aliens, pension abuse by the pension boards, budgetary woes for government and their solutions and finally peoples attitude towards God and the cookies of this world. I read other things, I know who Lady Gaga is.

There is a new commercial in France for McDonald's. The focus of the story is a young gay man. He is hiding his homosexuality from his father. I know many gays, I have had gay friends and still do. I don't have a problem with them and am more than happy to spend time with them. In fact, one helped me get a great price on a cruise ship. Having said that, what the heck does being gay have to do with getting a hamburger in France?

I just don't get it. Obviously the commercial, I will not post the link, is trying to tell gays that McDonald's likes them. Why should sexuality be associated with getting a hamburger. I don't see how a commercial about heterosexual practices has anything to do with getting a hamburger either. What if, instead, they talked about how much salt and fat was in their food? That would be useful.

In case you haven't figured it out, this isn't about being gay, it is about media exploitation of personal beliefs in order to sell you stuff. One fast food company used a video of Paris Hilton being "sexy" to sell burgers, it was equally nonsense. The problem is their attempt to associate sex with products. It has an effect on children and shows a complete disregard for it's twisting of associated content.

I recommend a book, two in fact. No, three. The first book is called "The Hidden Persuaders", the next is called "Subliminal Seduction" and finally "Media Sexploitation".

I wish to point out that I absolutely have never received any money for anything that I have linked to, so there to the Fed. I provide links to amazon for the books because I have bought books from Amazon, I do not get one cent for any link. I recommend the books because they show the history of manipulative advertising. I believe it was Freud's nephew who helped the government use psychology for propaganda and later went to contract with advertising houses to use the same techniques, it may have been Jung's relative.

All of these books point out the same thing, the media uses manipulation, seen and unseen, to convince you to buy garbage that you do not need, to impress people you do not know, with money you do not have (I paraphrase someone else). Unless you have a food fetish, sex has little to do with buying a hamburger at a fast food restaurant.

The Nazis used propaganda quite well and even talked about it's use. The intent was clear, associations and repetition. The use of association is simple, if you see two things that do not belong together, your mind will attempt to find a connection. In film making we call this juxtaposition. Because people are lazy, they look for shortcuts to understand things, this is relying on experts and official repetition. People seek the answers that cause them the least effort and satisfy their need to feel safe.

One of the first problems I have with new assistants is teaching them to prove things for themselves and not listen to experts. The problem occurs because I deal with problems, anomalies, things that the system could not fix. By definition, any problem brought to me has already failed to be solved by the established process. A trouble shooter.

New assistants always do the same thing. They will be asked to investigate and will return to me to tell me what other people said. I ask if the others fixed the problem, I get strange looks. I tell them that I don't care what they were told, I want them to investigate, look at the source documents and determine if what they were told was accurate. It never is and the assistants begin to learn.

What any of this has to do with God and consciousness is beyond me. I will try and find a way to blend the two for the sake of inconsistency. Oh yeah, trends. I keep reading these articles about how we die and stop existing. They never bother talking about consciousness, awareness as a real thing. How odd, the one thing we do know is that we are aware and it seems to escape notice by scientists. I have more regard intellectually for a solipsist than a scientist in this matter.

Scientific process requires that a thing, theory, whatever, be able to be duplicated or it cannot be trusted as true. I challenge scientists to prove they exist, that they prove that they are real, to me. If scientists cannot replicate in an observable manner that consciousness is real than how can they "prove" anything? The scientists came to this conclusion and created "quantum" physics.

Science existed after philosophy, it is it's child not it's nemesis and cannot exist without the philosophical underpinnings. All we "know" is that we exist. That is the only thing that we personally can prove and duplicate. The rest is assumption, not a bad thing; but, assumption. As a consequence, science frequently misses the context of what it questions.

The choices are limited, I exist as a conscious being and the experience I am having is real or it is not. The only think I can be sure of is that I am. I can believe I am all there is and that this is just a dream or I can believe that there are others. Either is defensible. Having said that, I cannot know that science or what I see, hear, smell, or feel is real.

It is quite amusing to watch scientists attempt to prove that near death experiences are not "real" when they cannot duplicate consciousness or prove that anything outside of me exists without resorting to philosophy. Philosophy puts them at a disadvantage as the starting point is always that I exist.

Now we have the issue of God. All I can "know" is that I exist, it is all of my experience that cannot be denied. Don't get me wrong, I like science. I like it when it works within it's realm, physical movements and interactions. When it overreaches to achieve a goal, it fails. It always will, its rules prevent it from proving that we exist on a conscious level. LOL.

If science cannot prove that I am a conscious being, how can it prove or disprove God?

An article on government restrictions on "news"

On a completely unrelated note, New York plans on increasing fees for people driving in the State. Hmmmm. Could be a problem there. I recommend that people across the nation watch out for such foolishness.

Here is the information. Fees must be related to the service or product received. Taxes are monies taken that can be used for anything. The difference is that taxes must be voted on.

An example would be trash pick up. The City can only charge what it costs them to pick up the trash. They cannot increase the fee and use the overage to fund the police unless voted on. The rules for taxes and fees are different. One can require that a legislature prove that the funds are used only for the purpose they were intended. New York has plenty of lawyers, we may just see the suit.

A New Blog Record

Today we have a sixth, SIXTH, follower. Hello. I often wonder if anyone reads what I post, I always surprised when someone does. I try very hard to find interesting stories in the news or discuss things from a different perspective. Sometimes I wonder if anyone hears it. I write anyways.

Someone once asked a writer, I think it was Stephen King, what they should do to become a writer. The answer was, "Write". I love writing, I love the idea of formalizing a thought into words. There is a beauty in the written word, in can outlast the writer, I doubt mine will; but, love the thought. More than the written word, I love the spoken word.

I love to hear speeches, to watch peoples immediate response to new thoughts and different views. The tension in the air, the anticipation, the uncertainty. I have spoken in public many times and have even been televised. The feeling just before you speak in public is amazing, complete fear and uncertainty. What a joy. Put it out there, risk ridicule, risk proving a point.

We all want to be understood and the only certainty is that few will ever understand any of us. We want to be understood because we want our opinion to matter, we want some say in what happens. This is being threatened by your government. It is currently being discussed in congress whether or not bloggers should be required to pass a test as journalists or be at risk for what they write. Different rights for different people. Perhaps we shall do the same in regards to speech, verbal.

Fortunately for me, I don't write news stories, I only link to them or discuss my opinion of them. I guess I don't qualify as a blogger, just opinionated. I can live with that, I don't respect most of what I see that passes as journalism.
