Right to Life or Right To a Life

I don't like Mike Pence. I just want to start with that although I wrote that before we finally voted for President last year. I think he is much more of a totalitarian than Trump would ever even consider. Pence wants to regulate your body, Trump doesn't.

Pence comes from a "religious" part of the party, Trump had been a Democrat. Why did Trump stop being a Democrat, why didn't he run as a Democrat? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Trump has almost never discussed abortion in public. They were not able to go back and find statements by him condemning abortion and he had been in the public eye since the early 80s. When Elton John got married he sent him a congratulatory letter. He openly stated during the election that he did not care which bathroom Caitlyn Jenner used in Trump properties. He had the sister of a transgender sing the national anthem at his inauguration. The media acted as if they thought Trump didn't know about Juliet Evancho or the fact that she is involved in a lawsuit over transgender bathrooms in Pennsylvania. I knew about it. I wrote about Juliet Evancho days after it was announced that she was transgender. Do you really think Trump didn't know about that when he selected Jackie to sing at his inauguration? Yet, the media never talked about Trump having Jackie anyways. The media did not talk about Trump's show of support or the fact that transgender Juliet Evancho was invited to come. You know how I know Juliet was invited to come? Because she turned down the invite and stated she had a prior engagement.

Juliet Evancho had the opportunity to attend the Presidential inauguration as a transgender and turned it down. Juliet made a mistake, Jackie did not. Jackie sang at the inauguration and Juliet failed to show up. Imagine a transgender female showing up at the inauguration standing next to his sister. That would have been on the news and would have normalized people like her even more. It was a public relations dream for Juliet's issue and she didn't take it. Why not?

I guess I may get readers of this post that don't know my feeling and thoughts and haven't read me before talking about the Evanchos because I don't have that many posts on them, maybe five in four years. Jackie Evancho is a great singer, I have seen her twice in person and really enjoy her. She had a brother who is now a sister. He seems like a nice kid, now a girl or young woman or whatever now named Juliet. My attitude about transgender is unusual. I am neither for nor against. Having said that, I am not for sex change operations. I believe wanting to change your natural physicality is harmful and unproductive. I believe we should accept our physicality as much as possible. Some people are tall and don't like it. I would not support them cutting their legs in half to be shorter. I would rather want them to accept themselves as they are. I don't think you can force nature. This should not be surprising as I am against genetically modifying people as a rule. I think nature does that better, if you believe in evolution you will too.

Maybe you cannot see how the title and this tie in. Mike Pence wants to outlaw abortions. He would probably outlaw transgenders too. Mike Pence is pretty much against welfare programs as far as I know. Trump is not, he just wants to create jobs so we people have options. I don't like Pence. There are many people who identify as Republican that are "Pro-Life" or against abortion that are not in favor of social programs. They are happy to see you born; but, don't care what happens to you after that. they just don't want you to be gay or transgender. Read that again if you have to.

Once you are born the world wants to tell you what kind of life you can have. Think about that insanity. Would the extreme pro life people allow abortions of gay babies? What if they could identify "gay sperm", the sperm that creates gay people, would they be okay with killing just those sperms? Would they allow the abortion of hermaphrodites, people born with the sex organs of both sexes? Which bathrooms should hermaphrodites use? Will they give the same answer for transgenders?

If you believe babies have a right to life shouldn't you believe they have a right to choose what that life is? Trangenders are choosing what to do with their body. Some people to have choose tattoos, some people choose to have abortions, some people choose to become exercise freaks or bodybuilders or incredibly obese, we make lots of choices with our bodies. It is as ludicrous to regulate what people can eat (like transfats) because they are unhealthy as it is to outlaw people taking a pill that makes them abort. Regulating how someone treats their body is as morally corrupt as slavery. In fact, it is the essence of slavery. Think about it, think about what right you have to demand that people take care of their bodies or use their bodies as you wish them to.

Politico - Tennessee GOP beats back Trump allies.  Trump one in Tennessee; but, the delegates being sent to represent him in the convention are not Trump supporters. The party instead gave him delegates that don't want him to win. Does that sound like Democracy?

The Japan News - Fingerprints to be tested as ‘currency’.  Japan is now testing a system whereby tourists would register their fingerprints and then be able to buy things and even use the print as their passport.

MIT Technology Review - Chinese Researchers Experiment with Making HIV-Proof Embryos.  Yes, the Chinese are genetically modifying embryos to make people that are protected from disease.

Reuters - Where's the lane? Self-driving cars confused by shabby U.S. roadways.  And this my friends is why bike lanes are painted in and crosswalks are being painted just like in Europe. Why wasn't this discussed before our tax dollars were spent on these things.

The Future

Yahoo - Today’s college graduates might not retire till age 75.

The article which attacks young people for not saving enough in the stock market has a couple of really cynical lines. I like the one where the author says that if a 23 year old began saving 10% of his income each month, he would retire by 70 rather than 75. It then says that if they were really aggressive and saved 20% of their income in the stock market, they could retire by 62, the current age of retirement.  Do you know that male life expectancy is the United States is 76. Take a moment and think about that. If a 23 year old were to save 10% of his income for 67 years, he could retire and live for 6 years. How does that make sense?

The article presumes the median income for millenials who have college degrees. Now just to start with, median income is one form of average. There are four ways averages are calculated they are called mean, mode, median and midrange. Frequently people will discuss the median income and call it the average; but, it is just one way of calculating an average and in this case it is misleading. What it does not reflect is what most people we consider millenials actually make and what most make is a lot less than $45,000 a year. It is also misleading because it completely ignores the 20% of millennials who are unemployed.

I have to say that I think young people in this country really need to change the game and demand change. They should demand that they be given retirements and if things do not change then tax the rich till they cannot retire or live in peace.

MIT Technology Review - First Gene-Edited Dogs Reported in China.

So scientists in China have announced that they have made dogs with twice the muscle mass of normal dogs by playing with their DNA. They claim this is to find new therapies to help dogs. Are you kidding me? The Chinese have also said that by using gene treatments they hope to increase the IQ of their people 10 points a year. The Chinese plan on modifying the genes of their people to make them smarter, stronger and to have more stamina. They plan on creating a super race and don't be shocked because US scientists working for the government in DARPA are doing the exact same thing.

I should also report that the age of 75 for retirement assumes you are a college graduate. I guess if you are not a college graduate then you should just expect to work till you die.

Time - Here’s What the Westboro Baptist Church Thinks of Kim Davis.

Kim Davis is the clerk who refused to follow a court order and issue marriage licenses to gays. Westboro Baptist Church is the church that carries around signs that say "God Hates Fags" and pickets soldiers funerals. Apparently Westboro has taken Ms. Davis to task for having been married multiple times. While I appreciate their consistency I must ask why they have spent more time attacking gays than people who cheat on their spouses. Heck, adultery made the ten commandments and homosexuality did not. Where are their priorities; but, then again where are the priorities of anyone who claims to be Christian and yet tolerates adulterers in their church and not gays?

Awhile ago I wrote a post on gun rights and did not post it at the time. I did not write the article because of the latest mass shooting and did not want to post it while the people involved had yet to be buried. I will post it tomorrow or later today.My post does not say what the laws regarding weapons and citizens should be. Instead it discusses a simpler question, does the government have the right to limit people's access to weapons and what needs do people have for weapons. I hope the readers do not see it as me promoting or rejecting gun control; because, it is neither. The purpose it to begin to look at the real issues and the idea of matching personal rights to weapons against the usefulness of the weapons to the people seeking them. In short, does the average person really need a tank to protect his family from home intruders or to go hunting.

Thoughts at the end of a day

The Telegraph - Humans could download brains on to a computer and live forever. This Cambridge neuroscientist is claiming that we will be able to download our brains into computers. Now this is just one more moron that believes in transhumanism; but, it really does speak to how they view us. As nothing more than biological machines.

Discovery - Newly Created Fungus Is Part Human, Part Yeast. Did we really need to create a living thing, yeast, using human genes?

Forbes - Kentucky Fried Pensions. The article goes into how the same states that failed to make payments into their pension funds as required are the same ones that are utilizing crooked people to invest the pensions in "alternative investments".

An Autonomus Internet of Everything

I was on a trip last week and attended a jazz concert tonight; however, I did save up articles in the news to post on. I travelled with my sister and we had a wonderful time, one of the best trips of my life. We met many people, enjoyed good food, experienced wonderful service everywhere we went and had a great time just talking. I brought up self-driving cars and she said she didn't think she would see it in her life, she didn't know it is already here. I hope my readers are sharing this information with others.

Let me repeat what I have said since the beginning of this blog. All transportation will be autonomous, you will not own your transportation vehicle and it will determine how you get where you are going.

thelocal.no - Earthworms rain from sky over Norway. You name it and it has been falling from the sky for thousands of years. There have been documented cases of fish, frogs and all sort of animals falling from the sky.

Reuters - First experiment 'editing' human embryos ignites ethical furor. China is now openly publishing in medical journals that they are experimenting with changing the dna of humans on humans. This, the modification of the human creation is the beginning of the end and I am not overreacting or joking. There is no way to stop this from occurring. Even if it were outlawed, it would go on in the dark.

Fox News - In first, Norway will shut off FM radio in 2017. There are laws that regulate radio; but, many of those protections do not apply to the internet. This is another wave of the future.

CheatSheet - How America’s Middle Class Dug Its Own Grave. Basically the self serving article says that it is the middle classes fault for trusting our government that allowed a few wealthy people to outsource all of our jobs and take away our benefits. We should have know the wealthy would take advantage of us and didn't believe in the United States and community.

ABC News - Study: Self-Driving 'Taxibots' Could Replace 9 in 10 Cars. The rich don't believe people are valuable or necessary. Technology is God if all you care about is your pleasure.

Wooly Mammoths and Stupid Scientists

The Telegraph - Woolly mammoth could roam again as extinct DNA merged with elephant. Scientists at Harvard claim to have spliced the genes from the extinct wooly mammoth with elephant dna. The belief is that they can bring back the wooly mammoth; but, in reality it is more like Frankenstein and unnecessary. The world has survived just fine for the last 30,000 years without the wooly mammoth and the elephants that do exist are now going extinct. So, what is the real purpose of the work?

All the money that is going into this project is NOT about bringing back the wooly mammoth. That will happen; but, there is another purpose to the project. Currently it is illegal to combine human dna with that from other animals; but, it is being done in China and North Korea. Investigate who is funding the wooly mammoth experiment and I bet there is U.S. government money somewhere or money from the defense industry. If you cannot experiment on humans, you experiment on animals. That is what is going on in my opinion.

The Columbus Dispatch - Chase CEO Jamie Dimon speaks bluntly on politics, bad employees. The CEO of JP Morgan and Chase claims that the problem in America is unprepared students. He believes they should take internships. Now Mr. Dimon had to pay over $24 Billion in fines for his company violating the law and is currently under investigation for hiring the children of Chinese government officials to get Chinese government contracts. I wonder how prepared those Chinese kids were, maybe he really meant that Americans should know enough to make sure that their parents can give JP Morgan money.

Yahoo - AP - After attacks, Europe fights call for mass migration of Jews. After World War II, most Jews left Europe and they are still fighting for their lives there. I don't recall Jews killing cartoonists in Europe; but, they seem to prefer giving immigration to Muslims over Jews.

The Fiscal Times - How Wall Street Is Fighting to Rip Off Your Retirement Money. The Upper Middle Class has figured out that they are getting taken advantage of too by the rich and they don't like it. They are the ones that actually make things work. To twist Lincoln's words, you can screw all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time; but, you cannot screw all of the people all of the time, eventually they will all turn on you as happened in the French revolution.

BBC - 'Designer babies' debate should start, scientists say. Wait, it is a little late in England to begin the debate as they have been having three parent babies for at least 18 years through genetic modification.

News of the World and Technology

Brisbane Times - Forget self-driving Google cars, Australia has self-driving trucks. I wish more people cared about what I write about. When I say something is coming, it is coming. I have been writing about this for years and people have told me they won't see it in their lifetime, it is already here. Nobody will drive for a living anymore in the not to distant future. No truck drivers, no delivery people, no bus drivers, no taxi cab drivers. Millions of jobs will simply disappear. They are seeking an automated society where people on the lower end just are not needed. That includes your children.

Examiner.com - Area 51 scientist's deathbed video: UFOs are real, aliens have federal jobs. Make of it what you will. I don't believe aliens are visiting this planet; but, I also don't believe we are being told the truth about what is occurring.

Matt Taibbi - Rolling Stone - The $9 Billion Witness: Meet JPMorgan Chase's Worst Nightmare. I will simplify the article; but, you should really read it. JP Morgan knowingly cheated people out of billions and billions of dollars and the government has protected them.

MIT Technology Review - Google Wants to Store Your Genome. They want your DNA baby, they want to track you and make predictions based on genetics. Diversity of species will be a crime some day. In America we used to actually neuter mentally challenged people, they did it in Nazi Germany too; but, we led the way.

Business Standard - 50% of occupations today will no longer exist in 2025: Report. You need to read this article if you have children or grandchildren. It is the future.

Wired - Startup Builds Sensors That Will Analyze Sweat to Track Your Health. They are going to know more about the workers of the future then they did about the slaves of the past.

Wired - New Initiative Aims to Teach People to Code—Then Find Them Jobs. If you are not new to this blog, more stuff I have talked about. One of the few good jobs will be independently programming apps for less and less money over time.

TechCrunch - The Larger Implications Of Electronic Payments Adoption. The article is about how electronic payments will help the poor and barely mentions how it will also allow big global companies to avoid taxes and transfer money made in one country to another country.

I am at a loss for words. I have been writing for 7 years about what is coming and am sorry that so few have got it. Many will not understand until after the changes have occurred. What a shame. Be well dear readers.

God, Financial lies and the Future

This will be a strange mix-up of things. Hope you enjoy.

TechCrunch - The World’s First Genetically Modified Babies Will Graduate High School This Year. I have written many times about how scientists are already genetically modifying people. I know a lot of people think I am writing about things that they don't have to worry about for many years. Nope. It began years ago and now genetically modified babies are graduating high school and many of them will reproduce, heck some may have already and you would not be able to tell. You or your relatives could marry one and never know it. We have no way of knowing what this will mean to the future of humans.

Let's say this first set of genetically modified humans works out just fine. Okay. We will continue modifying people until we make a mistake with consequences we could not foresee. Mistakes are inevitable. Michael Crichton was a great writer and really smart. He wrote a book called "Jurassic Park" and in the movie version one character points out that mistakes are inevitable and that life finds a way to escape boundaries. They will make a mistake in genetically modifying people and there is no way to know what the impact will be.

Gigaom - Visa: Apple Pay will pave the way for more mobile wallets that people can actually use. There will not be any more cash in the future and the future is coming quicker than people realize. That is the problem. It is already here, most people just don't know it. I don't have as much to write about anymore as everything I said is coming true. It was all true when I originally wrote about these things, it is just now becoming visible to those who didn't pay attention.

Now let's talk about God. Stephen Hawking, the douche, insists that the universe could exist without God and that if there was a God then we would be Gods and know everything. That's just bad logic. Philosophically, he is a retard. All philosophy begins with why do we exist as self aware or even as beings that experience anything. Why do we have awareness of anything? If everything is only physical then why should anything have self awareness, trees don't. Where does self-awareness come from? How can one deny the possibility of a greater self awareness? An eternal self awareness? That is just stupid and violates the principals of the scientific method.

He does not get it, most people don't. He doesn't understand why he is so severely crippled and blames God. He believes that if there was a God then he would not be punished in this manner. He is wrong and he is not being punished. Troubles are not punishments from God, that is an old concept from people who did not understand the bible. Challenges are placed before us so that we can grow. That is Toynbee, one of the greatest philosophers and historians in history. Understanding how things work is not the same as understanding the why, why things work at all.

Sorry, I think I have to write something else about never working again. I think I may have just retired. We shall see.

Robin Williams Death and News

Robin Williams has died, they believe he committed suicide. He was one of the kings of improvisation. For anyone reading this that has been at one of my sermons they are basically improv with a point. My points may be spiritual; but, the approach is improv comedy. It is hard as it can be to make up jokes as you go along, it is an art form and he was one of the best. Will Ferrell is probably the best at improv now. I remember watching Mr. Williams in the 70's, he then did movies and got an academy award. He had many talents. Hard to believe he was only a couple of years older than me. Most comedians are shy or tortured or have faced great problems in their life, that is why they turn to comedy just like any other artist. It is hard to tell a joke that begins with, "My life is so great". May he rest in peace.

Yahoo - The Fiscal Times - In NYC, Front Doors Are for the One Percent. Yes, they are building homes where they have both the poor and wealthy and they want the poor to enter through a back door rather than the same door as the wealthy, to enter the same building that they all live in.

Yahoo - AP - Obama wants limits on US company mergers abroad. There are those who believe in the United States; but, few corporations do and they will do anything to avoid paying taxes to the country that they benefited from being in. It is called globalism. Basically companies wish to be treated as "people" in the United States but not taxed as people. They want you to pay the taxes for them.

Yahoo - Kristen Bell adds star power to minimum wage debate in hilarious Mary Poppins parody. Just a fun video with a point.

The Independent - Exclusive: Scientists accuse government of dishonesty over GM babies in its regulation of new IVF technique. This link is really just a reminder that we are continuing to create babies with three parents in test tubes.

Inquisitor - Affair With Kristen Stewart Nets Rupert Sanders’ Ex A Landslide Settlement. Yes, Ms. Stewart is a cheating skank; but, that is not the purpose of the link. The article attempts to imply that the man that cheated on his wife with Ms. Stewart paid a "landslide settlement" because he cheated, that is incorrect. He would have paid the exact same amount if his wife had cheated on him. You cannot bring up adultery in a divorce proceeding in California, it is a "no fault" state.

Huffington Post - The Increasing Irrelevance of Corporate Nationality. Here is a great line from the article, "In fact, since 2000, almost every big American multinational corporation has created more jobs outside the United States than inside. If you add in their foreign sub-contractors, the foreign total is even higher." Read the article, we actually give tax deductions for Research and Development and that includes when the money is spent in foreign countries, we give a tax break for creating jobs in foreign countries.

The Huffington Post - Why A Higher Unemployment Rate Is Actually Good News This Time. Here is the logic of the article, we may still be losing jobs; but, we hiring more people than before. We fired 10 people; but, hired nine new people so the economy is better, right? They will do anything to spin the truth and keep you confused.

The Huffington Post - 'Too Big To Fail' Lives As Regulators Slam Banks' Living Wills. I have written about this before in regards to JP Morgan. A living will for a bank is their bankruptcy plan and their plan is to keep all the assets and have the government bail out the parts that have no assets. Making the taxpayer responsible for their failure. They are worse than a lazy government employee, they take your money give nothing back and blame you for their failure.

LA Times - New charges filed against ex-CalPERS official in corruption case. The real public pension scandal is the people who are stealing from the public pensions that we pay for with our tax dollars. Politicians and private equity companies are looting the pensions.

PostHumanism, Transhumanism, whatever you wish to call it is the belief that we will not be able to keep up with technology and the technology will exceed our abilities. The movement is funded by some very famous and rich people. In fact one Billionaire from Russia believes that he will be able to transfer his "mind" (which he views as his thoughts and memories) into a android, a robot, within the next 50 years or so. His gruesome utopia would be a computerized "better" (faster, smarter) version or himself. If you want to understand why we are headed in the direction that we are, you better understand what the people leading us believe.

Huffington Post - Weird Al's 'Lame Claim To Fame' Stop Motion Video Name-Drops Celebrities He Almost Knows.  Fortunately for us, Weird Al is still around and giving us a reason to smile. This linked post shows most of his new releases that he has made in the last month. Al himself posted them onto the internet. The first time I heard him was on Dr Demento before most people had heard of either. Al was in college up in Santa Barbara I believe and the good Dr was teaching and going out on college radio, CSUN.

I know, my regulars readers will know that I already wrote about this a couple of times and even posted a video of one of the cars that Google made and is legal in California. The context is diferent here and I believe the article is important to read, it will not take you long and might help you to understand my conclusion at the end of the blog later.

Motley Fool - How to turn $5,000 into $998,000. Financial people who have done well and many smart people who come from middle and upper classes believe that they are better and have worked their way there by themselves and that everyone else could too. Many I know that I have dealt with in business know that I could take their money away and keep as much as I want for myself (their biggest fear is losing their wealth) and they cannot figure out why I don't. LOL. That joke alone makes it worthwhile. Remember when I wrote about the Billionaire who said that if you made a million dollars you should never be required to pay taxes again or the one who said that you should get one vote for every million you had? Oh, and the Constitution only intended to give votes to land owners and freeman originally.

Yahoo - Business Insider - China's Total Debt Surges To 251% Of GDP. More financial lies and meanignless articles by "experts". The difference between China and the US is simple, they manufacture things and we don not; therefore, they can pay back their debts with real assets. Vivek Wadhwa,  the author of the article talks about many of the same things that I have discussed over the years regarding automation, self-driving cars and the reduced need for real people to do the actual work. The author is confused by what is going on because he does not understand the intent behind it all. He understand that we won't need any people to work at all; but, cannot understand why the economists and futurists don't see this, he is wrong, the best of them do. The article also points out that because of technology we could easily feed, clothe and improve the lives of everyone, he is surprised that we don't take of this utopia and does not understand that those who run this place have a different agenda and belief, they want a utopia; but, see no need for more people than it would take to achieve such a goal. Start putting all the articles in this post together and you will begin to see what has been discussed for years in certain circles.

Both Yoko Ono and Ted Turner, amongst others, have praised the words on them. Amongst those words it says that the earth's population should stay at 500 million, there is currently 14 times that with roughly 7 billion people on earth.

I wish I could write better fiction; but, all I prefer to write is the truth, reality and let others take it where they will. Let me put it another way. People used to use woodburning stoves to heat their homes and cook their food, they worked fine and we could still use them today; but, there is not need to. We have easier ways with gas and electric stoves. It does not mean the old technology ceased to work, it is merely no longer needed, we don't require it. The same goes for people. There are many things we can do today that are done by computers or automation, it does not mean that we could not make or do the same things using people; but, the cost does not justify it in the eyes of financial people. Efficiency means achieving your goals with the least amount of effort and energy (or capital) expended. If we can automate 90% of all the labor then how many people do we need?

The funniest part of all this is that one of my hero's foresaw the end of society and predicted what would come first. The people who believe the non-sense of efficiency also consider him a hero. They never really understood what he was saying. The first "written historian" was a Greek named Thucydides. He recorded the Pelopenisian Wars. My favorite historian/social student of all time was Arnold Toynbee. He was a professor and wrote a ten volume series entitled "A Study of History". It is Mr. Toynbee of whom I referred. He said that society failed and fell apart when it was the most efficient. It means that a society has no wiggle room, no room for error and there is always an error.

I think it is interesting that many CEOs and wealthy individuals have no problem with paying CEOs bonuses when they have losses for the company or providing enormous fees to them when they leave the company; but, complain about pensions.

CNN - City of Tomorrow. This short video series shows what cities might look like in the future. While it presents everything as a positive, what it is really trying to convince you of is that being monitored by computers 24/7 is beneficial.

New York Times - A Synthetic Biology Conference Lures an Intriguing Audience. A big part of this blog is really about providing information to the readers on trends that they may not be aware of or that are more advanced than people suspect or understand. I strongly urge the readers to read the actual article. The article discusses the governments interest in turning living things into biological machines. Here is a quote from the article, "He added, “The most exciting and frightening thing I saw this morning was a slide talking about designing and synthesizing genomes next to a slide describing a human being.” and this, "In his own presentation, the F.B.I. agent, Carmine Nigro, bluntly warned, “These technologies do not just pose a risk to individual buildings or cities, but if cleverly deployed, can reduce our population by significant percentages.”

Wired - Square’s Found a Way to Beat Banks at the Loan Business. Square is a payment processing company that allows you to not have to carry cash. They are now offering cash advances to vendors that use their service. The point is that we are moving to cashless and this will bring in an all new form of banking and loans. As we go cashless, more and more of your financial transactions will be tracked and using sophisticated programs known as algorithms companies will be able to predict what you will do.

Wired - Microsoft’s Futuristic New Tool Translates Skype Calls in Real Time. If you don't feel like reading the whole article, just watch the video. Basically, the technology now exists that allows people's spoken words to immediately be translated into another language.

Fear of Fairness

I am reading more and more things from wealthy people decrying the idea of poor people being given a chance or being treated fairly. They don't couch it in those terms and don't see it in those terms. The basic tenets of their belief system are what is known as "Social Darwinism", they believe that they were successful because they were genetically superior because their family genes and race has made them somehow better than the rest of us. This is the basis of monarchies. They also believe the inverse, they believe that poor people are genetically inferior and therefore should not have children. This is also why they hate the autistic with High IQs, they cannot compete with them.

I want you to understand why powerful people are against a minimum wage high enough to allow people to live on it. It is the same reason why they decry giving anything to the poor. They have a bitter and cynical view of the world, one in which it is everyone for themselves; but, expect that they will have all the privileges and advantages that are derived from living in this society. Much of their philosophy comes from a woman named Ayn Rand. In fact one of her followers was the Federal Reserve Chairman, Alan Greenspan. The same man that was against any regulation of Wall Street; but, was very much responsible for the bail outs of the banks which is far from capitalistic.

One of the most important stories of the New Testament is where the rich young man came to Jesus and explained how he didn't sin and did good things and he asked Jesus what he needed to do to be saved. I cannot tell you if the young man was being sarcastic or sincere though the story is generally discussed as if the man was being sincere. In either case, Jesus responded by saying that the young man should give up all his possessions and follow him. They young man left because he couldn't part with his wealth. Jesus was asked about it and he said that it was harder for a wealthy person to be saved than it was for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.

Yahoo - The Fiscal Times - 6 Housing Trends That May Surprise You. I have to start by saying that none of the trends surprised me and it makes me question why it surprised the writer. The trends are that home prices are going up, almost half of all housing purchases were in cash, young people and first time buyers are decreasing from the market, there are fewer people getting mortgages, jumbo loans are up and the housing market is not recovering. If one looks a little deeper they will see that hedge funds have been moving money out of the stock market and into assets including houses which they pay for in cash.

The Atlantic - Thomas Piketty Is Right About the Past and Wrong About the Future. There is a man named Piketty that wrote a book about income inequality. The book has shaken the financial world to it's foundations by questioning why income inequality exists. It is praised as being incredibly well researched and documented. It's basic premise is that capitalism leads to inequality and skewered wealth distribution or an unfair distribution of wealth.

The Atlantic - The Not-So-Distant Future When We Can All Upgrade Our Brains. People believe that soon we will be able to improve ourselves by genetically or technologically upgrading ourselves. There are people fascinated by the fact that they hope one day they will be able to buy brilliance. Aspergers is a form of Autism and those who of that nature see things that others cannot, this frequently makes them fit in poorly with society. The world is currently seeking to cure autism and use chemicals or technology to create people with the same abilities. There is this assumption that somehow we can have our senses improved drastically and it not have a toll or overwhelm; but, watch some videos of people hearing for the first time and read up on how they quickly come to feel overwhelmed and often turn down or off their own hearing devices. Some Autistic people smash their heads into the wall to make all the noises and input go away and now we have transhumanists who seek to put themselves in the same position.

There are those who believe in transhumanism and are seeking rules for it's use. One person has suggested five rules. They are as follow:

1. The right to self-knowledge
2. The right to self-modification
3. The right to refuse modification
4. The right to modify/refuse to modify your children
5. The right to know who has been modified

The meaning behind and the lack of morality behind all of these are interesting; but, I wish to focus on number 4. The right to modify your children without their permission or understanding. True permission cannot be given without understanding. There are people who argue that one should not be allowed to circumcise their children; but, they should be allowed to genetically or technologically modify their children.

Huffington Post - Nature - Scientists Create First Living Organism With 'Artificial' DNA. The short is that scientists have created a new DNA with additional information not found anywhere in nature. The problem I have with these scientists is fundamental. Yes, they are playing God; but, take no responsibility for their creation. They do not take responsibility for the well being of their creation, yet, they create living beings. The Chinese used to believe that if you saved a man's life you were responsible for him for the rest of your life.

I have met people who curse God because they don't like this life. They blame him for everything that they dislike or feel restricted by. Being God would be a lot or responsibility. Being a parent is a lot of responsibility. Creating new life holds as much responsibility as being God; but, the scientists don't see that. When did creating a new living thing lose all concern? We are entering dark times.

YouTube - KRQE - Protesters takeover Albuquerque City Council meeting. The Albuquerque police have been shooting a lot of unarmed people lately and the people of Albuquerque are upset. The police in response have given lame excuses (the standard nonsenses) and the politicians have yet to do anything meaningful. Spin city in full force and the people know it and are fed up. The citizens came for public comment and the politicians left the room. I actually lived in a town that used to hold true Town Hall Meetings where the citizens actually wrote the laws. The true stupidity of the powers that be is that if they ignore the people enough, they will bring back direct democracy, the people will insist upon it and it is the history of this nation. Imagine how the powers that be will feel and their fears if a Constitutional Amendment was put in place making a national referendum a reality and bypassing all the little sell outs in congress? Frustrated people do rash things. A nation cannot survive on complete corruption of it's political and business class. I would bet money that both the tea partiers and the Occupy people could agree on a Constitutional amendment creating a national referendum (many states already have them) where the citizens propose legislation and ratify it themselves.

Simply put, they found document fragments that were written 600 to 800 years after Jesus died that claimed he had a wife. The researcher involved determined that the fragments were in fact from 600 to 800 after the death of Jesus and said that they were not "forgeries". She did not claim that they were true; but, that is the impression that the media would like you to take. There is a reason the bible was put together and that was so that the churches that had been visited by the apostles could show the letters and writings that they had been given by the apostles to be consistent and have a history. The apostles sent letters to the churches at the time that Jesus died as the word spread and these churches treasured the letters and could attest to the fact that Paul or Peter was known by them, that they knew the letters were authentic, that is not true for "The Gospel of Mary". I am continually fascinated by the stupidity that will claim that Jesus did not exist and was married, pick one or the other.
